Wait a second though... wouldn't that mean that I should be getting all the rewards from the blocks being found? Because I'm not...  Huh
Maybe you had some disciples

Note to self: it's not you doing it, it's us.
All,

There are three nodes on 2.0.7 that have forked and need to reload the blockchain:

68.132.65.5
150.101.243.74
73.10.58.144

Current block height on the master node is 837044.

Steve, I would strongly recommend to always advise a mandatory Rescan Wallet after Reload Blockchain.

What I witnessed was not only total balance on Stats being wrong (larger, as described previously by many people), but also coins "disappearing", all these after a blockchain reload WITHOUT a wallet rescan after that. Rescanning the wallet then fixes the issue, still it's good to remind everyone to do it mandatory after upgrade and/or blockchain reload.

Thanks!

What do you think caused it?

Interesting results from the reinstall,

After the bootstrap installed and the wallet was catching up it reached 682 blocks remaining and stopped and went straight to 'up to date' putting me at 637044. 637044+682 =637726 which would be where epiphany is right?

I do think 837043 is the correct chain height... Looks like most people are on this chain and so is the block explorer.
let's see what steve stays about this...

Yes, I think so, too. 5 wallets I have say that (updated to 2.0.7 AND blockchain reloaded through new bootstrap download AND wallets rescanned).
All these wallets' blockchain explorers are showing now 837044.

Edit: I am also re-posting Steve's announcement, with the important parts in bold:

All,

There's a final release out, version 2.0.7.  Another maintenance release to address the blockchain explorer issue.  Turns out the issue was that a full sync needed to be done.  I have generated a new bootstrap and would advise everyone to run File->Reload Blockchain.  Though it only affects the RPC command gettransaction, the txn indexes are correct in the new bootstrap.  You may also opt to do a full sync yourself.

Current height is 836335 and the train is rolling along quite nicely.

Current inflation is at 1.24%.

I'm at block 837,637. Is this right?

Do you mean 837067?

837,642 now... It's way off where the block explorer says I should be. I don't get it.

EDIT: All three of my wallets are saying the same thing. They are all version 2.07, updated, scanned, all that.

EDIT2: Is the block explorer on the wrong chain somehow? My wallets are humming along, getting small interest payments now and then, but I'm like 500 blocks past the block explorer now. What block are others running 2.07 at?

But did you also get the new bootstrap?

Yeah I did all that earlier this morning. (3 hours ago, do be precise. I started the downloads before bed because they take a long time for me. Then when I got up this morning, I updated all my wallets. As they finally caught up is when I noticed I was like 300 blocks ahead of what the block explorer was showing. That's when I started trying to figure out what was going on. Smiley )

Bittrex is definitely not on the same chain that I am.

I'm not saying which one is the right one or the wrong one. But it seems to me, the one continuing at 1 block per minute is likely the proper chain. And that isn't the one Bittrex is on.

How did you figure out that Bitterx is on the wrong change.  If I buy coins form there and try to transfer them to me wallet will it work?

Well, I shouldn't have said "wrong" chain, I don't really know that. I just know they are on a different chain because I sent SLR from one of my wallets to my Bittrex wallet almost an hour ago and it's got 52 confirmations now but it is not registering at all on my Bittrex wallet as an incoming deposit. So that tells me their train is on a different track than mine is. Smiley

Oh and the CryptoID chain seems to be on that other track too... Again, I don't know which is the correct one, only that the one I am on is humming away at a block per minute, which seems like how it should be.

If I am somehow on the wrong chain, which is possible even though I may not understand that yet, then I need to also figure out how to get back to the correct one.  Grin

My three wallets are all on block 837,713 now.
I get the feeling yours is the right chain but what happened I wonder, your Bittrex theory sounds plausible.

Hmmm, ok if I restored to lets say to yesterdays back up would my wallet point to the right chain or is it a 50/50 chance of getting back on the same slow path i'm already on

I'd think you would gravitate to the chain with the most confirmations. It's worth a try! Smiley
