I did some “dream” calculation If you do not have dreams it means you are dead.

Let’s say you have today 400K of Spectre with today’s price 50 cents,  because of PoS  you have about
I think 1666 of Spectre each month EXTRA ( increase monthly amount not counted ) it is giving you about 833 dollars passive income per month

From 50 cents to 10 dollars is short way with our hard work as community and developers

833doll x 20 = 16660  dollars per month  I think you can retired and have monthly  Lamborghini  payments with this small retirement , IF THIS IS YOUR DREAM

WHAT INVESTORS ARE WAITING FOR HuhHuhHuhHuh?

Can somebody check math if am I right? Maybe one glass of wine was to strong ha ha

400K of spectre is about 50 BTC today
and ROI next year can be 200 000 doll yearly

THIS IS NOT GUARANTEED it is speculation only ( keep this in mind )

but dreams are dreams

Congrats on raising dev funds, am excited to see where this will lead. I agree xspec has much potential Smiley

I have one suggestion that I think would make a huge difference even though its fairly simple. As gandolf pointed out on the last page, spectre supports public and private transactions. However, wouldn't it make sense to have private transactions be the default? Especially since you are pitching it as privacy coin? Some noobs may not realize they have to choose to make it private. Also, the more tx that are done using private ring signatures will increase the overall anonymity set that new txs can use for their ring signatures. In other words, for best results privacy tx should be the default and public tx should be optional, requiring the user to explicitly choose to make it a public tx. Also if we want exchanges to use private tx (which they should IMO), making it the default tx type is probably the only way to get them to do so. Any thoughts?

Totally agree! But it's not "simple".  Wink Actually, I have proposed the same thing to jbg a few days ago. One thing that we would need to make sure is that staking works with ring signatures, which is an interesting novel concept as far as I can see it. Jbg said spontaneously, it should be possible but requires some work (obviously). We're totally aware of this problem and I hope it will be added to the roadmap.

If this is truly possible, I would like to see it added to the roadmap and given priority.

Tried it out....now all my coins are gone.
Edit: went back to v1.2.0.0-g and they are there again

Just stay on v1.2 until @jbg announces the official v1.3 for mac.....its a disconnect between the front end and the data folder. Your xspec was never gone.....the ui just couldn't see them. it's all ok.
Stay calm and keep on staking. Cool

Here is a test version of 1.3 for Mac OSX

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5j8d4FSc7drVGtrckQxTFRiRlE

I am testing it at the moment. If someone else could test that would be useful before uploading to GitHub.

Thanks for the quick replay gandalf, glad to hear its already under consideration. I wasn't thinking about staking with ring signatures, that would be awesome! Maybe to start, jbg could leave staking as it is, but make ring sig the default tx mode. That would cause ppl to have to move their coins to their public address before being able to stake, so not ideal but a first step. Just an idea, I'm not fluent in c++ but know enough to realise "simple" things are rarely actually simple.

Community Manager hire me
If the whales contribute enough to allow the dev to work fulltime, it would be amazing for the project. How close are we to making the goal?

I am happy to announce that the fundraising goal has been reached!  Smiley Big thanks to ontopicplease and all other investors who donated (mainly original ICO investors). We now have a professional full-time dev, JBG, who will be bringing this project forward with higher intensity than ever before. We have a lot of goals, and JBG is very open for all kinds of suggestions the community carries to him. He will soon confirm it here personally.
Congratulations.
I will wait with interest for the results of your work.

There is no big amount of Spectre on sale orders. Just kids are playing to be rich with 2 Spectre sale.
Think: why there is no huge sale orders?
But on Buy Orders somebody wants to buy almost 60 K of Spectre

Price (BTC)   Amount (XSPEC)   Total (BTC)   Sum (BTC)
0.00010001   377.66266077   0.03777004   0.03777004
0.00010000   58737.50411201   5.87375041   5.91152045

2 days ago somebody purchased 25 BTC in Spectre

WHY ?  WHY?  WHY?

Maybe they see something what others not

Sell Orders 631879.21830951 XSPEC
Price (BTC)   Amount (XSPEC)   Total (BTC)   Sum (BTC)
0.00010057   6.62404915   0.00066618   0.00066618
0.00010058   152.07938145   0.01529614   0.01596232

0.00010110   20.05260559   0.00202732   0.01931757

This is very interesting.  Of course, orders can be pulled at any time.

I came across this coin earlier today.   I don't know how I hadn't done any research into it before.  Maybe too many coins these days.  But . . . I really like this idea.  I see potential in this.  I'll probably end up scooping up some coins and joining the Slack to see how the community is.

Thats a very popular and the only(skepticism) situation with this coin.

If you knew the history, you would know that couple of months ago there was a situation where it was uncertain if the project would continue to exist
due to team lead health problems, dev hiatus etc.

The only way people somehow discovered the project was pure coincidence

As one classic character once said:
"Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner"

So the last thing you'd think about at that time was marketing and making other people aware of the project

Now as things gaining momentum:
- new website with translations and planned roadmap
- very strong dev team with @jbg and transparent communication
- huge community engagement
- released unique tech with v1.3 client in early August

Price shows that and people get to know.
New exchanges is just another logical step

@ Donron has the right attitude.

I intend to create a localbitcoins like decentralized exchange for now to establish vendor reputation that will later be integrated into our Spectrecash mobile app. We have already covered encrypted messaging in our last update to go along with this.

Please message me here or @whaledownunder in Slack if you have any interest in the development here or becoming a vendor.

Cheers

Look what is going on with Monero  108 doll.
What is difference between Spectre and Monero? Some technical difference, yes
but the MAJOR one is the TIME on the market and TIME of marketing. People are looking for good anonymous cryptos .Price of Monero is proof of it.
Spectre is fallowing other anonymous coins fast.
Can you imagine in 2-3 years only 50% of today’s Monero volume? This is just matter of time.

Spectre today is only 50 cents, but community and developers are working hard in all aspects not only development.

I know and I believe -  one day YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY $ 50.00 for just one Spectre and you will say “ o it is under valuated coin” .

Remember - difference is only:  TIME and HARD WORK in one basket together

Amazing News that we reached the goal. Finally we have a full time Dev Grin

and a damn sharp one as well!  Grin ...plus he oversees the hired ones.

@HippiePyro - do what you can anyway.....this project is truly great. How about just a fraction of your weeks/months worth of staking? That makes it painless and out of your paycheck.  Cool
