Wow, this coin will add Tor support to its wallet, good future for this coin, and the price goes to normal as usual.

I have already sold all my coin to the market for only 6000satoshi, the price won't go back to normal.

Should have waited, the team has so much more to deliver.

Hello,
I would like to know how confident are you of making it completely anonymous ?
Stealth adress are not default yet, and that is an a real issue for the sucess of the coin.

The tech is no yet better than the competitor that is why the price isn't skyrocking yet.

Any clue ?

Thank you

Price already increased rapidly. When i bought more than a month ago, just roughly 0.3 and now around $4.5
Please check the comparison in coinwiki to see what is different between Xspect and others
Yes! The tech still in developing phase, but in case, the dev delivered what they promised. This Coin is the most anonymous coin. I have followed this project couple months and happy with the team and community so far.

I don't see how stealth transactions not being the default would be an issue, could you explain it? The current setup shares many characteristics with the Zerocoin protocol, it cannot be deanonymized by looking at the public transactions alone. Well, unless the user makes an obvious mistake, for example creating a certain amount of tokens, sending the exact amount to someone else, and then this person transfers the entire balance to public balance again. Of course then these can be correlated, but that's not how you are supposed to use it. To make these things less dependent on the user's knowledge, it will become the default in the future, so that no public balances are being used to begin with.

The tech doesn't have to be "better" than any competitors, the interesting question is which consequences choosing a certain solution comes with. The tech itself just has to do the job.

As for stealth addresses (which you were asking about), each newly created wallet has a default stealth address.

I hate DeepOnion but is there a reason why it's excluded in that list?
Which is the better privacy coin? I'm honestly asking because I have no clue.

Can't say why DO was excluded, but if you are interested to compare with XSPEC, check out the XSPEC Wiki : https://altcoinwiki.org/en/SpectreCoin

Hi Guys, any updates on the 1.3.4 wallet? Should be live on the 9th but website still shows 1.3.3 since September.

The release is already on Github; Binaries are currently being built.  Cool There was a problem with leveldb compatibility (that's the reason for the delay) but it has been fixed. Binaries should come out today I would guess.

Hope so. ok, there are one, two, three, four days delayed. ... Sad Sad Sad
Anyway, the new version is still full of my expectations.
Everything good will come, soon or later.  Grin Grin

Is there a step by step guide on how to upgrade to the new wallet and transfer balances to 1.3.4 from 1.3.3 (Windows and MAC)?
? your wallet is inside %appdata% so you don't have to do anything, only delete the old directory software ( where you click the executable and launch the wallet ) and replace with the new one, this is like for every wallet

Hello,

New member of this great community. I totally agree with the posters above. We need more marketing and new exchanges! The tech is already great but the lack of marketing is keeping the price down. We should get the word out as this coin has a lot of potential to grow. I think it can reach 100$ in the long term and 20$ short term if the devs stick to the roadmap and if it gets more marketing!  Cool

I would say that even as a privacy coin, you need adoption for it to matter. I agree with the above reasoning, and marketing while keeping the quality aspects of the coin up (total privacy can happen even when on exchanges for instance - that is not "centralization" merely "adoption", just like if everyone decided to use a privacy method of transaction, it doesn't make the transaction method "nonprivate").

We DON'T WANT XSPEC TO REMAIN "PRIVATE" TO THE PUBLIC EYE. We want transactions to be private.

And those are two separate things.

100% correct!!

Hey guys!

Spectrecoin was mentioned in the press as one of the most undervalued coins with high growth potential in 2018!

Check out here:
http://fairreporters.net/economy/best-undervalued-altcoins-to-buy-on-cryptopia/

But it also lists DeepOnion as the #1, which sadly renders the entire article irrelevant.  Roll Eyes

DeepOnion is fishy as hell. I lost $10.000 because they allowed phishers to write guides on their tutorial forum. I don't know the state of their guides now, but fuck them, the damage has already been done and I don't give a shit about DeepOnion anymore.
In fact, all these airdrop creeps who write nonsense in forum just to get their post count up to receive airdrop are just annoying as hell. But it's a clever tactic to promote a coin, I'll give them that.
