Is using multipool.us then exchanging the coins for BTC/LTC better than directly mining LTC? with 3 sapphire r9 280x's I'd be able to mine .7 LTC a day.

its a freakin joke wasting my hashpower on a coin that has 4X as many coins as ifc (example not fact).  Who the hell is going to pay .01btc per coin.  At that payout I'm sitting on a small fortune.. If it looks to good to be true, it is.. Recommending doge taken off the multiport until its been traded on cryptsy or another exchange for a few days.

There actually were people buying veeeery small amounts of DOGEcoin from 0.08 BTC - 0.01 BTC/DOGE.  Those trades are where the high profitability rating was coming from.  If, at that time, you sold 100 DOGE instantly, it would have driven the price down to under 0.0001 BTC each- and that's exactly what happened.  I was waiting on a 10,000 DOGE transfer to go through at that time, but it took almost an hour.  Apparently, they had so many DOGE deposits that it was taking forever.  I was lucky to sell mine at over 0.000001.  I have buy orders now at IFC prices... just gotta wait.  Bad move, I think, adding DOGE to the multiport before the Cryptsy market reached an equilibrium through market depth.  Seriously, if selling 100 DOGE would have driven down the price to 1/100th of where it was before the trade, then there is no market depth.  That would be like selling 100 BTC and it goes from $600 to $6.

Edit: Ok, maybe it wasn't that bad of a move- I mean, I don't know how quickly Cryptsy is processing deposits now (it was about 3 hours ago that I was trying to deposit my DOGE), but if the instant-sell feature is still relatively prompt, then you're still getting twice the BTC you would from mining other coins.

Hello Everyone!

I'm new to Multipool so please be gentle Smiley I just mined about 40 Dogecoins and set them up to go to Cryptsy. Not that I want to be impatient or anything but I was wondering approximately how long does it take a transaction such as mine to be processed? I know Cryptsy is having issues so I won't go there but I AM curious about the approximate length of time it takes a transaction to take place one it hits the Dogecoin blockchain? Again I am new to all of this so please pardon me and educate me when possible.

Cryptsy has to get x number of confirmations before they become available.  I don't know what x is.  However, I think a whole ton of them about are to be dumped on cryptsy.  You just mined 40, I have about 10,000 enroute to cryptsy, and I think there are miners a lot larger than me here.

It is on Cryptsy but it's only worth 0.00002, not 0.03. Flound needs to fix this ASAP.

Correction, it's only worth 0.00000125.  Huh

The scrypt multiport is mining DOGE right now, even though it's listed as Not Enabled on the multiport page and was just added yesterday.

I noticed this before with TAG, it seems there's a bug somewhere either in display or in choosing which coin to mine

Not only that it says profitability is > 6million, they're selling for 0.04 BTC a piece, and I have 3800 of them unconfirmed.  Something isn't right or we're all gonna be rich!!! Smiley

Question, I must have something configured wrong.  When pointing to the multiport 8888, all my USB block erupters go into a WAIT state and stay there if it's mining BTC.  At least it worked fine while mining ZET and FRC.  But when the pool switches to BTC, my block erupters stop hashing and bfgminer shows each one in a WAIT state.  And another weird thing happens at this point, the CPU fan on my computer will crank up and get noisy.

My settings are as follows:

bfgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://pool1.us.multipool.us:8888 -u xxx -p xxx -G -S all --icarus-options 115200:1:1 --icarus-timing 3.0=100 --api-listen --api-allow W:127.0.0.1

Thanks

It's due to the BTC port being a p2pool node.  block erupters and P2pool don't play nice with each other because the erupters use an internal stratum proxy that has a known issue connecting to P2pool.

I don't think diamond is in right place (chain?).. block numbers not matching with where it should be.. might want to have a look.  Others sites say blocks are at over 200k.. multipool says 157k.. oh never mind.. it looks like its still updating it jumped 4k in a few minutes.. guess its not synced yet.. funny you would open it before synced?  Not sure what is going on...lol..

dmd was forked for a bit and a few blocks were orphaned.  We're now back on the main chain.

Not sure how others can get to the diamond port.  It shows as dead for me both on US and EU.

Edit: nevermind.  First time ever "http" doesn't work but "stratum+tcp" does.

The difficulty skyrocketed on DOGE, so its actually hard to mine. Its the #2 most mined scrypt coin.
