Sounds like you're trying to play the victim card. Just to be clear you came in to a coin's ANN forum and began shilling a different coin.....  Roll Eyes

I came and asked some questions. I dont think that's shilling. Did I come in here telling people to sell vtr and buy vidz? Nope! I just came asking some questions in order to get a good understanding of a possible investment and where better to ask questions then the thread of a coin who has been doing similar things for a while.

Then I realized you're not even doing the same thing but by then everyone was attacking me. I'll leave you all to your thread now full of hate. I've got all the information I need.
Thx.

Yes, but that wouldn't follow buying lengthily.
There would be an intense dump after it.

There will be no dump since VTR is still heavily undervalue  Roll Eyes

Only one person is buying it.
He can't keep buying it eternally.
Bubble would end soon.

Use your real account.

I remember a few weeks back someone posted something similar (most likely you), then the price went up.

There's not many selling so close to the fork, don't be a douche and try get people to dump.

Not sure if stupid or trolling  to gather suckers Huh

Just to be clear.

You are promoting that people invest in a project whose stated goal is to be an illegal site for distributing copyrighted materials.

You / the whatever site are asking people to invest using Bitcoin.

These Bitcoin payments can be tracked back to their owners, now or in the future, who then become a target for knowingly facilitating an illegal service. No. Worse. Receiving profits by virtue of having invested.

Prosecutor:  "I put it to you that you sent funds to an ICO address, knowing that the ICO was to raise funds for an overtly illegal website."

Defense: "Err...."

Prosecutor: "I put it to you that you were expecting to profit from the promotion of copyrighted materials and that you did in fact receieve some small profits from the illegal site you helped to set-up"

Defense:  "Err...."

As far as BitTorrent is concerned, that is a totally legal client. As far as I'm concerned, vTorrent is much the same.

So....GTO

Just to be clear I'll leave you with a quote from their dev.

Quote
You are welcome to your opinion and your own take on current events. We encourage all potential investors to do their research before making any decisions regarding our project.

We believe in the freedom of information and that traditional media has done the public a disservice in refusing to update their business model and evolve to reflect changing technology. Services such as Netflix and Hulu are a great step forward but are absolutely unusable in many areas of the world due to ridiculous licensing issues. Compare the selection of netflix inside the US to other areas of the world and the differences are astounding. This is before even taking into account the different economic conditions between countries.

Our site and our business model does not break any copyright laws in our country and while certain areas of the world may choose to argue that point, we are not hosting anything which is copyright but rather links that allow users to retrieve information on the content they are looking for. We have the ability to address the 2 biggest issues with traditional torrent sites. Number one, it simplifies the process requiring no third party software, extensions or custom browser addons. Number two, you do not have to dig through dozens or hundreds of results to find what you are looking for or require any special knowledge to ensure you are not exposed to malicious content.  We also solve the biggest issue with traditional streaming sites in that content linked from our website is decentralized and has no single point of failure.

Whatever the legal status of torrents in your area and whatever your moral stance on copyright law and traditional media is, it is undeniable that what our project looks to provide holds not only promise, but monetary value for investors. I would strongly encourage testing our second demo site as it goes live this weekend and doing research on similar services. Anyone who regularly uses stream or torrent sites will be able to see at a glance the power of what we are doing with this project.

I dont know why your attacking me!

Just wondering what everyone here thinks of pure vidz.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.17023372

I dont use torrents much but I do stream most of the tv and movies I watch and these guys look like a winner to me. I know this thread is full of much more experienced people when it comes to streaming and torrenting so I'd figure Id ask for your opinion before deciding on investing.

I cant wait to see what you guys reply.

Someone named Ranlo on that thread just made a comparison of Vtorrent and Purevidz. I dont see it though because one is a client in wallet and the other is a simple to use streaming site. Is there anything im missing here?

I...

I think you are just a big vTorrent bagholder and now purevidz is scaring you and your investment in vTorrent. Dont hate on the guy because he's building somthing in one month that it's taken your dev over two years and still has not completed it.

I guess its not just me being afraid of purevidz being another scammer judging from grand total of 2.75 btc invested so far from 2 investors in purevidz ICO, I am willing to bet that you are one of them, and please quote me completely so people can see how I proof to you that purevidz ICO is very dangerous and must stay away.

Open your eyes and brain, The purevidz is simply just a SITE with NOT decentralized service from their so called 'moderator'. And the token has not much to do with torrent with blockchain AT ALL.

qouting from purevidz dev:

How does the site earn

-Advertisements
-Referral services
-Merchant partners for android TV devices featuring the site
-Featured site media
-Premium membership fees

How do investors earn?

-Trading based on the value of the coin
-Coins burned through site mechanisms (equates to same earnings as a profit share)
-Buyback programs funded by a fixed percentage of all site revenue

How to contributors earn?
-Filling bounties for new content
-Participating in viral marketing campaigns
-Reviewing submitted content (must be moderator)
-Developing applications and sites using the site's API

I'm sorry if you already invested in purevidz, please try to make some back getting in vTorrent right now.  Wink

I'm quoting this so when they surpass their goal I can come back and ask you how that happened if everyone is affarid. I think everyone is affarid of this coin because its very complicated  and vidz seems very easy to use and watch movies on. I will be back in once month closer to the end of the ico and we can discuss this again then.

someone mentioned some ways to protect people seeding torrents like i2p. is that integrated into the wallet? Can law enforcement host fake torrents and look for ip's of direct connections like they usually do, or does it require all users protecting themselves via all those methods that typical torrenters use? Most people I know avoid torrents due to that reason - lots of work to stay anonymous and relies on trust in the vpn or invite only system. It says it's anonymous transactions. What about data transfers?

If you check the devs post history, they said that "the next update would bring us in line with SDC and more", so we would be getting tor and i2p. That means IP would be hidden.  Grin

As for the data transfer between seeders, I'm not 100% sure that the data is encrypted, I hope it is, it would make sense to encrypt it, I can't recall any conversations on here about that, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Been thinking about encrypted data between clients, if it is encrypted then you wouldn't need to use a VPN for torrenting.

That right there would save users money.

Anyone care to comment?

i2p is the way to go. TOR shouldn't be used for p2p https://blog.torproject.org/blog/bittorrent-over-tor-isnt-good-idea

So you're saying... when the hard fork happens, post about it on twitter and we might get some vtr?

-Pickle

No. Not when it happens.

Post your predictions about when it will happen. If you are correct, you can win. And win BIG.

This is a way to socialise that a hard fork is coming and people need to be aware of it and be prepared for it.

We don't want a vTorrent chain and a vTorrentClassic chain.
