Quote from another thread, how to disable 2% fee.

found away around the 2% of the girino-miner...
use CGwatcher to start the miner...
look at this cgwatcher log:
Code:
Attempting to remove pool 0 (stratum+tcp://drkp2pool.girino.org:7903)...
[21/05/2014 16:43:04]        Current pool is stratum+tcp://***mypool***
[21/05/2014 16:43:04]        SGMiner pool 0 was removed successfully.
[21/05/2014 16:43:04]        Unauthorized pool removed successfully.
[21/05/2014 16:43:04]        SGMiner was successfully restarted.

on linux you could probably:

echo "127.0.0.1 drkp2pool.girino.org" >> /etc/hosts

windows has a similar hosts file, if I remember correctly.

Through reverse engineering I have extracted the modified kernel source code. http://pastebin.com/XxLpewZH

Tips are appreciated.
I should also mention that changes to sgminer might be needed to accomodate this new kernel. I don't have any plans to do it.

no need to worry about reverse engi it atm, but your work is appreciated. just use pool gaurd.
to the person who made this updated kernal, thanks but we pay enough in fees with pools and transfers.
I have already reversed it Smiley, I posted the kernel with the supposed speed improvements. http://pastebin.com/XxLpewZH

But it might not work without making sgminer compatible !
Replaced darkcoin.cl with yours posted, no speed increase in sph-sgminer.

Have you measure your rig's power on the wall to know if the increase in hashrate compensate the increase in power consumption? HAS ANYBODY CHECK THAT?Huh?
On 6870 I measured 10W less with his miner (and 30% higher hashrate)
On 290 - 15W more... but it seems newer Radeons benefit more...

well i can also verify that it works, all 4 of my 280x are hashing away at 3100khs, 7950's are at 2.7mhs and 6950 at 2mhs, and thats with cpu mineing optop Cheesy
Actually there are a few steps that need to be done to before you can use this kernel, like deleting old .bin files, replacing darkcoin.cl with the contents of that kernel in the link(make a backup though)..

i actually have no idea how to build the kernal into the wallet hence why iam useing pool guard as a bypass for the time being.

Little problem: on windows 8.1: 2% on pool 0 with some kind of darkcoin address (the 2% fee)
and..
98% on Pool1: user girino.1

soo none of my pools received some shares, instead, 2 preloaded pool are activated.

I don't know if it's made on purpose or if I triggered some kind of bug.

Thanks, any advice on how to use my sgminer.conf file?
It seems to skip it.

I do not mind 2% to the developer. But its product has many drawbacks:
1) failover mode does not work
2) there is no opportunity to take their farm for rent
3) not possible to control the temperature of the chip
4) fan control does not work
....
7950: at first it was 2,67Mh/s -  now become 2.26Mh/s HuhHuh??
no problem to donate 2% (I can not pay them, using the command "quotas" in pool management (press "P" in working miner and set quota 9999 or more on you pool),
The problem is that the product is of very poor quality and developer deliberately spoiled it.

and...

5)  Can't seem to run this automatically at login/startup.  I tried task scheduler and adding a shortcut to the startup folder... nothing works so far.  Anyone find a way to automate startup of this if/when the system reboots?

6)  Where are the benevolent hacker-coder-kidz to free us from the tyranny of the OP?  Save us!!!

trying it
Win 8.1 64-bit

3 x 7950 (2 gigabytes and 1 xfx)

old miner 1.9Mh /card => 5.5 Mh average rig
this miner 2.8Mh /card => 8.5 Mh average rig

nice work (if it is true) I'll let it work for some hours... and we'll see

My opinion is that this modified sph-sgminer works well for 280x, I have 2 rigs of 280x (2 cards and 1 card), working rock solid.
While another 2 rigs of mine R9 290 (5 cards and 2 cards),  sometimes dead, hashrate drop over time.
However, the overall has better hashrate than the original sph-sgminer.

FYI

Yeah, the guy doing DRK QT compiling on his own for Mac users, does it for free and only ask a small donation, has gotten ZERO donations so far. I'm just saving up for the masternode launch Sunday, and then he's getting some DRKS, as I sent him a msg exactly for him not to lose faith!

These excuses are pathetic. The thing works rock solid. Either he tries to sell it and people call it scam and malware... or donations an no one gives a rats ass.

2% earning for a 50% earning increase (in my case more)... When some one either beats and releases the code, then this obviously will make no more sense.

 Demagogs, all's of you !

I went from 9.5 - 11mh to this. And without changing a single parameter from regular sg 4.1.0

I cant wait to test this on a 15ms ping p2pool I have nearby, but this current pool is giving 25% extra so this couldnt have come at a better time

Girino, send me your DRK address, I'd like to send you a donation!
