Sorry but i think this is over, there is no word by lead developer...what else.

The lead dev made a relevant announcement on Slack!

What was the announcement?

Everything is pointing to new devs and team. I hope Hondo have a little sympathy for us all bagholders and this StealthCoin community would publicly announcing his retirement from this project so we all could find a new team, perhaps donating some of our coins to the foundation. I will donating 1/10 of my coins to the new team.

You are free to find new devs and ask them to develop services around XST: webwallet, mobile wallet, xst marketplace, etc. Nobody is forcing you to wait for Hondo to deliver products. This is a community based open source project.

It`s the community who is developing services around BTC not Satoshi Nakamoto.

I also have been a bagholder/supporter of this project from it's inception. The sad truth is XST is going nowhere. When was the last time Hondo popped in to engage his followers? The answer to this question should give you all the info you need. MR1 this is fact and not FUD.

Sloooowly. It is ok if they lost interest, and they don't need to discuss that in public. But if new heads show interest, not everything would be lost. It is not so much to restore the token price in the short term, but to save the innovations made in the current product.

That said, complaints regarding the lack of dev support in Stealthcoin are valid critisism. Now everyone should be aware that there might be good reasons for that, e.g.:

- lack of capacity due to other projects: yes, independent developers have to generate a constant income stream to make a living and one single project may not always be able to provide that
- technical issues: there may be roadblockers showing up that a single dev cannot solve. No one is an expert for everything
- lost interest: the project might just have got boring for the dev, or he feels that he cannot reach his personal goals with it anymore. IMPORTANT: this is absolutely legit, it just needs to be handeled properly

The first and most obvious step to handle all of these issues is to bring new developers into the project, maybe with the objective to finally hand it over to a successor.

Hint: CryptoWiz420 showed some interest to wrap his head around the existing codebase, people like him could be helpful to reanimate this promising project.

There will always be FUD when innovation meets money, and that is what crypto is all about.

Censoring it does not provide a solution, but makes things worse, because in the end there will be more FUD the more posts are deleted, trust gets lost and the community gets anaemic. That is exactly what can be observed in this thread in the last year.

In fact most users (including the silent majority) is very well able to distinguish between FUD and constructive critisism. But where open discussions can take place, a strong community may thrive and have self-cleaning effects when it comes to FUD and doxing.

In some cases it might be necessary to block users, who want to attack/destroy a community by persistent trolling, but this should happen in a transparent manner, e.g. by posting a screenshot of the post that caused the ban, and giving a plausible reason for it.

Man, somehow this very interesting post from stealth.money glitched away. Bitcointalk is really buggy these days, but luckily I could save it:

The text of his message was:
"This is the time when we all investors hope the miracle could happen, where Hondo coming out and releasing a press new of what is the stage of StealthCoin. I've been with StealthCoin for many years and I don't think this never going to happen. I think all the ingredients for StealthCoin to succeed is all there but some how Hondo don't/can't do it."

It seems that this guy is in the Stealthcoin community for a long time, in fact very much longer than me, and he seems to loose faith, though he also states that he still believes in the potential of this coin.

Personally I also still believe in Hondo and Stealthcoin's potential, and I think that this is a perfect opportunity for the community managers and the dev team to shine and bring new hope to the community! Go ahead guys, this is your hour!  Smiley

PS: to make sure that this kind of glitch does not happen again, I will have an eye on the forum. Maybe I can set up an automated screenshot generator, I will keep you updated

Yes why was his message deleted?

Also, I will be experimenting with this codebase in a clone version.. I would love some ideas. Please PM if you are interested in helping, I need a good name for it too.

This is why that post was removed: It contained fud and it doxed the dev.

What Bicmac quoted seems to be the original post of stealth.money. At the time of the removal, the post looked otherwise. Looks like stealth.money posted, then came back and altered the original message.

stealth.money is one of the accounts of BTCwriter who once was a cheerleader of XST but then he turned to a troll. One of his accounts - stealthcoin1 - is in the blacklist for fudding XST thread.

Buy side on Bittrex looks deeper than on Polo right now. -> If you want to dump, I suggest not to dump on Polo but move your coins over to Bittrex.

Cmon give us some action Cheesy

I'm sure once hondo gets everything moving seamlessly over at breakout gaming, we will see more of his time dedicated to xst again.

Who is hondo?

Hondo is the lead developer of StealthCoin.

Is that his first name or last name?

It is neither his first name nor his last name. It is his Bitcointalk forum and Slack name.
