Not sure about the language part, I am German. The existing FAQ describes staking as an ongoing and continuous process, and gives no hint, that the staking indicator turns grey again, after the first block has been found.  I will watch the staking process in the next few days and if it works as described, I will write down a description zat you can putt in ze FAQ.  Wink

Aaaahhh ... thanks for the info! Could you put this scheme on the front page? It could help to reduce the stress level of other new users  Grin

You are welcome!

I`m sure your english is better than mine  Smiley  So if you could formulate this scheme in a more clear way, I would post it in XST FAQ section:

Ok, I have an issue here: I transferred XST to my wallet 3 days ago, so today they were matured enough to start minting. It worked fine until the first block was found and I received the block reward. After that, minting stopped again and the client told me again, that I don't have mature coins?!? The coins in the wallet were not moved. What is the reason for that?
Edit: version is 2.0.2 under Win10

Everything is OK. You`re using the latest version of the Stealth Wallet and staking is also going fine with you.

This is how staking works:
After you transfer coins to your wallet, they begin minting after 3 days. After u receive the first block reward, the minting process "stops" for 3 more days. After 3 days your coins are split in 2, each part mints separately and minting "stops" again. Again after 3 days your coins are split in 4, each part mints separately and the minting process "stops". After about 15-20 days your wallet begins to mint everyday.

Yes it should. The point is that staking in the current 2.0.2 wallet does not seem to work. Normally the blockchain should come to a grinding halt, but there is a new block every minute. The question is: which software are those people using who manage to stake new blocks.

OK,something happened coz my wallet is not staking anymore...i tried 2x restart. Its still same.Maybe some updates are coming! Cheesy
I have the same problem mate , let's wait for a response ... .

Thank you for reporting this issue as soon as you noticed it.

I have been looking at it for an hour now. I believe I have identified the problem. It will likely require a hard fork to address. The issue seems to arise from a strange combination of events happening simultaneously and exposed a problem with the PoS protocol.

This issue is a slight security risk because many users seem to be excluded from staking, which impacts the security of the network. The team is putting together a plan to mitigate any potential security concerns.

As soon as I am confident I have diagnosed this issue, I will release a fix ASAP.

Is it the same issue? Is there an update available in the meantime?

Yeah, that Tinyurl link to Google Drive is what I referred to as "pain in the ass" but nevermind: transfer is 50% through. There will be a new XST node with high connectivity soon.

Is there a download source with a direct download link to the xst-bootstrap file? I am just trying to download it to a server via console ... Google Drive with wget does not work, and w3m does not show the downloadlink too. It's a pain in the ass to upload the 500MB-file to a server with a 100MBit connection using a DSL line with 500kBit upstream.

Bootstrap file with the instructions is in the OP:

Bootstrap: https://tinyurl.com/xst-bootstrap

The bootstrap.dat works for any version and is current as of block 1,091,000. The md5sum of the unpacked bootstrap.dat is 954ce14c3582c9a92a7d1020b211a4fc. The sha256sum for the unpacked bootstrap.dat file is 608c0192cfa6ab110489d3767cf55f042eee4b478d63a7edd64b13cba49c9755. You will need the 7zip utility to unpack the bootstrap archive. The list of hashes to block 1,091,000 is available at https://tinyurl.com/xst-hashlist.

StealthCoin Syncing Made Easy

1. Back up your wallet
2. Stop the old client
3. Go to the application data directory (Windows: "%appdata%/StealthCoin", OS X: "~/Library/Application Data/StealthCoin")
4. Remove blk0001.dat, database (directory), db.log, debug.log, and txleveldb (directory); or just remove everything but wallet.dat
5. Download the zipped bootstrap file from https://tinyurl.com/xst-bootstrap
6. Unpack the bootstrap file into the application data directory
7. Start the new client
8. For the new client your computer will pause momentarily at 71% to fill the key pool (you may not notice)
9. The progress will pause at 91% for as much as two hours (up to 4 hours for old computers!) to validate the bootstrap file. Do not interrupt this process!
10. The chain may take 5 to 10 minutes to sync after the bootstrap is complete
11. In some cases, the client may crash either right before bootstrap or right after. If so, just restart.

Ask side of the orderbook did not grow much in the last few days, at least up to 6000. So just enjoy the cheap coins, it will go back up.

You are speaking like a professional trader my friend  Smiley
