where i am wrong?

1. Your power cost is too high. At 20c/kwh you probably shouldn't be mining at all.

2. You are probably underestimating the flattening out of the difficulty growth. That is just my opinion though.

If you tweak those you can make this slightly profitable. Not an amazing deal but okay. If BTC prices go up before these sell out they will be a better deal.

yeah key is btc fiat/diff jump/power cost . a jump to 500-550 a coin makes the machine less then 2100
then a second jump to 600 makes a profit.

I am heading towards summer if I buy this for 2100 . I have to pull a 2 or 3 blades. To keep it cool enough.
My summer power is 18 cents a k watt.

Now you see how badly asics are overpriced,again they droped price about 2 BTC.
Business is not going well anymore as people eyes are more open than ususal.

I LOVE my antMiner Products.

I own 12 S1's and an S2 -- ALL run to spec and S2 had minor issues upon arrival due to HOW FAST they ship. 3 DAYS! from China to Mid-west, USA unreal, what a world. BitmainTech does get busy, but their delivery rate and ON TIME performance suggests they are busy working to satisfy ME.. or yews..

BitmainTech is 100% miner friendly,

KNC is doing the same thing now, they are throwing 2.4 PH of old Jupiter stuff on the market now.

Could be a trend of maximizing old farms.

Manufacturers cost is probably about $500-600 per TH now.

they are becoming victims of their own success . All Big farms will fail in the fall without a fiat rise in BTC.

But S-1's will be small enough and nimble enough to act as heaters. The market in the usa alone is 5 million homes with electrical heat only.

Every one of them can use an s-1. or a pair of s-1's. It is up to us to jump on this and buy the shit out of these.. Lose if there is a full tank by the fall about 75-150 usd a machine. A small downside when compared to an s-2 .

The 1th 2th 3th even 5th machines are not power efficient enough to warrant their price. Buy these.

I just paid .554 btc after a coupon . in fiat that was 244 usd. It has to cost them at least 34 usd .

so they net 200. One could argue that this is a very big push against big gear miners.

Most any home owner can have 2 of these. Or 400 gh maxed. at 800 watts.

if you down volt and down clock you can do 4 at 140Gh each maybe 700-800 watts. they are still decent gear if you can find ways to get past the power. no current item does 2x efficient.

the spoon doodle s10 is .7 watts per 1 gh

this is 1.25 watts per gh

the best in the future is the spoon doodle sp30 maybe .4 or .5 watt per gh the long wait for it will mean the extra efficiency is not much.

I wonder how this all plays out if btc slowly sinks to 350 usd and diff goes to 30bill

Dont forget they still mining with that gear. So we not talking about loss of any kind.

yeah I think at the .554 mark they are a good item. many people in the buy btc and hold camp do not understand that same idea can be applied to gear if the price is correct. Lowly asic miner usb stick dropped to as low as 7 usd then jumped up to 60 usd on ebay back in the oct- nov bull run.

I have 2 units coming tomorrow. I ordered 1 today . I have 3 coupons left I may just buy again .

1 coupon per antminer. I just got 16 of the 0.05BTC ones and am quite pleasantly surprised

just pulled the trigger on 3 more units, almost entirely because the extra ~8% discount puts the unit at a nice price point. At current BTC prices, the unit looks poised to breakeven but bring in ~0.9BTC or more in its lifetime so any increase in USD/BTC would offset the power costs nicely
