Q:If I dug bitcoin, how much is the profit?
A:The profit AntRouter can make is a whole "block", which includes all 25-26 bitcoins output from it.

how long will that take ?.
wonder how they fix this with no noise no heat . that will also be interesting to see and is able to mine a block .

This is not new and may be answered somewhere, but if so i can't find it. I have an S5 with V1.91 hash boards and mini heatsinks fitted. Looking at mine and pictures here and on the net they all have 2 heatsinks missing in the exact  same two positions.

It seems odd that they all have 2 missing from the same place. Does anyone know why this is, or failing that have a theory as to why?  Smiley

scammer. beware

This is not a scam. You can buy a PACMiC on hashnest right now! Actually there is already 3000 of them sold.

Believe it or not but Hashnest PACMiC is always "soft scam"   compared with  purchase S5 hashpower directly from Hashnest.

Also, your HW error rate looks really high relative to what I see on my S5's, is this a byproduct of the quad blade  - perhaps the extended cable lengths?  I2C/SPI can be pretty sensitive to cable length...

With Original S5 fans I had a better result.

About the same error rate per hour, actually. STILL way high on the error rate. I'm starting to think MarkAz has a point on the long cable lengths.

I'm not ready to believe it.
My first  water cooled S5 which is in the housing of C1 .  C1 pump and the radiator with 3x better fans.
One long (15cm) and one standard cable. 16 pin version.
10 day error rate 38

OK. S5s are out. Bitmain finished replacing S5s with something new at their farms and offers the Pacmic3. We probably will see S7 sales start soon.  Cool

just saw the new twitter news from BITMAIN
We just released a new @Hashnest_com product: 1 TH/s for 0.666 BTC. Check it out: https://www.hashnest.com/l/YeZ8DTrTeHc  #bitcoinmining #bitcoin
Will this affect AntMiner S5+ for BITMAIN  to be delayed to opening sales to oversea market ?
Since some potential antminer S5+ customers to purchase the cloud mining contract instead ?

Hi guys,

I have 2 questions but i not find the response:

1 - Which are the best settings for Antminer S5 of expirytime-scantime-queue for solo stratum pool (ex. tbdice.org)?
2 - If difficulty is set to 1024 cgminer (v4.8.0) not show share (Accepted 00000080 Diff 0/1024 ) and best share it remains 0 ...this is not a problem for normal pool but for solo pool it's ok? (if i change diff work fine= Accepted 3e047efc Diff 1.06K/341 )

Thank you

ps: i use S5 with latest firmware

I have no idea where to find answers...can you help me?

NICEHASH ANTMINER S5 BIOS--

NiceHash has posted an Antminer S5 BIOS in the proper format for flashing from the Antminer web interface. Here is the link:

It has CGminer version 4.9, and this CGminer version is patched for "extranonce subscribe".  This is a useful patch for mining on NiceHash, but I haven't tried it.  I don't know which Antminer firmware version is in this particular BIOS image.

Has anyone tried this BIOS image?         --scryptr

NOTE:  I don't post often in this thread, but I am concerned about the safety of this alternate BIOS.  Someone please make an intelligent comment.        --scryptr

P.S. Running high wattage in the kitchen after disconnecting a built-in stove or range-top is LAUGHABLY absurd.       --scryptr
