Soooo where are we with the shipment? What is the latest payment date that got shipped?

I would like to know if any batch 2 or batch 3 has shipped.

Does anyone have a real tracking number.

I just checked my Bitmain account and it now shows the tracking number for my order that I received yesterday but also shows the send date as 9/28. Not sure why they still want to post the 28th as the send date but they must be getting caught up to post the tracking numbers now which is a good sign.

while they may say that was shipped on the 28th  here is ups record for it oct 15th.

note I removed info on it .  I suggest you get a few pdf's and screenshots for yourself.

So I figure you get Oct 4 to Oct 15 or 11 days at 7 a day = 77 usd.  This could be wrong.

I assume that is to avoid compensation? Interested to see what they end up doing, although the compensation is a bit of a joke anyway...

What is the end date of compensation?
Is it shipped date or received date?
Seems like received date would be fair but it is probably shipped date.

I believe it is shipped.  Yes received would have been much nicer.  But they did a low compensation which is part of complaints.

End date is not set in stone as far as shipped on ones that are late.  It could vary by customer.  So no set in stone.  The only thing set in stone is the time frame it should ship.  But as you see some Batch 1's did not make that.

@Questor: what aout the noise: those 3 fans on the psu, are they screaming? are they temperature controlled? thx!

My miner is running nicely right above 4.8th, powered by a lepa 1600w psu with extra 8pin cpu to 6pin vga adaptors!

Loud!

Have you used the 750w Dell supplies un-throttled?  I would compare it to about two of those side by side, but a different (and less annoying) pitch, but those are my ears, I haven't run any decibel tests.  Fortunately for my situation, these miners are on a rack in an area where noise is not an issue.  I think once you step up to S7's and 2000w+ Supplies, noise is unavoidable as most of these were designed for servers where this is generally the case.  Space and efficiency of operation over noise production when engineering for server rooms.

That LEPA supply (Enermax) is decent, I've always had decent experience with their stuff, though lately I've heard grumblings about cheaper component parts, but Enermax has a decent reputation, from the units I'm familiar I'd rank them highly, but not as highly as the high end Seasonic or better stuff, should be zero problems with it though if it's performing.  Usually those will show problems fairly early on.

I think it is very important and sometimes overlooked to make sure that the rails supplying the power and the wires that deliver it to each connector are adequate to handle the loads.  If you are drawing more than 192w through the wire (16A @ 12v) splitting the end of 18 AWG wires into two PCI-E connectors isn't going to help the situation!  Assuming that your wires can handle the shared load, splitters are not a bad idea to ensure even distribution of power, but they cannot magically allow for more draw.  Smiley

Just to add, my order of 2 S7 on 9/9 arrived yesterday with no warning (not complaining), woooo!

This thing is really really loud. I was going to run it in my living room to replace the 2 neptunes but I got one up and running and basically its sitting their shouting "Hair Dryers are for wusses"!!!
Has anyone managed to quiet theirs down at all, I don't want to leave my primary miners at work but I can't run this in my living room.

You are able to run twice as much hardware with 240 Volt verses 120 Volt.

The quantity of hardware you can run is based on the circuit's amperage, not voltage.  Always double check that your circuit can supply enough amperage to support the attached devices, Watts = Amps x Volts.

Very true.  I was once an electrician.  I was on my way to certification but never did get certified.  I quit just short of taking my test for my Journeyman's License.

I, by no means, am suggesting to turn a 15 amp (14 AWG) circuit into a 240 Volt 20/30/40 Amp Circuit.  Is that what you took from my statements?  I don't see this implication in my statements.  If your statement was simply to inform them they cannot do what I just stated, then ignore my question wondering if that is what you gathered from my previous post.  I was prepared to assist in letting them know what to do if they wish to hook up their rigs to 240 Volts.  One can have 240 Volts on 20/30/40/50/60 Amp circuits.  One could also have 240 Volt/15 Amp one poll breakers but that depends on the supplied voltage for each bar in the Main Panel.  You and I both KNOW they do not have 240 Volt on one bar in their main panel at their house if they live in the U.S.

I was going to suggest Tandem breakers to make room for 2 poll 240 Volt breakers if they have no room in their Main Panel.  Their Main Panel might be in a garage.  If not, they might have an attic to run the proper wiring.  It depends on the amperage they want or the length of the run, which would determine what gauge wire they would use.  They may want PDU(s).  They may prefer to make whips.  Who knows?

I just don't know their situation.  Hell, they might be in an apartment on the lower floor of a tall building.  There was simply no need for me to go into details if they have no desire to gain access to 240 Volts.  Some are just fearful of doing any electrical work at all.  I've helped several in this thread [With no experience at all] via PM's to get going with 240 Volts for their rigs.

If your wiring is running through walls, you are not to exceed 70% to 80% of the circuits amperage.  If your wiring is outside of walls and laying on a concrete slab with whips, you would be safe to run the circuit up to full amperage with the proper gauge wire.  No where in the electrical code will you see a limit on how much you can run your main panel.  If your main panel is a 200 Amp main panel, that is its limit (200 Amps).  The limitation is placed on each individual circuit inside of walls or small conduit, not the main panel.  Hence, the reason there are limits on how many circuits [Depending on the gauge(s)] can be in a particular diameter pipe and the material the pipe is made of [Rigid, PVC, Galvanized Steel, etc...].  There are just so many variables.

To clarify, there are limits on the panel and the service.  There are definitely limits on how much you can run through your main panel.

The amount of hardware you can run is decided by neither amps or volts, it watts.  Watts is the total work that is done, amps and volts are both only part of the story.  Watts is all you should care about.

With that being said, higher amps and higher volts "tend" to equil more watts.  But, that isn't always the case.  Just focus on maximizing the watts, that is all that matters when thinking about how much hardware you can run.

That and the effeciency is better.. The IBM 2880W PSUs for example can be had with cables for not much more than the Bitmain PSUs, yet are 94 Platinum rated, resulting in a noticeable efficiency uptick.

The IBW 2880w power supplies are definitely rock solid!  I'm running two S7's off of one with zero problems so far, and after a couple days in, since there are 22 PCI-E connections, I threw an S3 on there too. Wink  With 241v Input power I am right about 88%-90% utilization of the supply with the three miners.

Scored this particular supply, breakout board, and cables off of padrino, quality stuff.  Thanks!

so my sept 29th batch 2 order was marked shipped by bitmaintech 10 days ago.

no sign of it no label no nothing.

has anyone got a batch 2 order with a shipping label number? and not just marked shipped.

Would have proffered it to not getting marked at all rathe then if being marked and then not shipped.

Well my batch one is chugging along nicely.

I get under .24 watts a gh with my plat psu so no complaints.

Very interesting we might just see some batch 2's this difficulty period then.  What about batch 3 has anyone seen it show shipped?

I'm curious if batch end of 1/2/3 are shipping at once or 1/2.   I could see them doing 1/2 at same time since different speeds.  Then change to 2/3 at same time since again different speeds.

But if they are doing all 3 at once we might just see that difficulty i have been worrying about.  Did anyone trace payments to see how many of each batch are estimated to be sold?

It is hard to do tracing via btc payments for batch 2,3 since coupons and btc price changed a lot.

So far it looks like batch 2 and 3 have not shipped out even if they are marked.

ANTMINER S7 BATCH 2 with 4.66TH/s is available to order. Shipping may start between Oct. 15 ~ 25 (if shipped out 10 days later than it, it won't be considered as delay ).

AntMiner S7 BATCH 3 with 4.86th/s is available to order. Shipping may start between Oct. 15 ~ 25 (if shipped out 10 days later than it, it won't be considered as delay ).

today is the 19th so they could ship 2 or 3 or both now.

But they would not be late until the 4th or 5th of nov for either batch.

No one has confirmed any B2 or B3  with active real labels. So I think we will be lucky if they go out by this fri the 23rd.
The email I got was on tues the 13th  and it read my order was shipped, but no info on tracking.

A true nerve wracking experience since in the two years of orders I have done with them this one is new to me.

I can't complain much they sold me 30 to 40 units and 1 was a dud.  all others worked fine.
I got a batch 1 a while back it was clocked at 575 so it was a batch two but there were no batch twos then
So I think batch 2 was just to cover their butt. They could ship batch 3 in place of batch 2 who would complain?
Who would buy batch 2 anyway? Just one big batch with shenanigans. They need to get product out before compensation gets out of hand. I'm already at about $900 ten days out. They will throw anything out the door to shut that down.

What are acceptable temps with these?

If you have low temps is it understandable that there is more to be had with higher freq as with the other miners?

possible... quite a few people already posted better results with higher temps (starting with ambient above 25c admittedly), but if your ambient is 10C or below, then there might be a limit in optimal chip hashing frequency rather than just board temp.
You might get low enough temp even at very high frequencies, but chips might throw errors anyway and miner will throttle back.

I am happy to say that my Sep 5th S7 has arrived and hashing as expected. I am running it on IBM 2880 PSU and after adding pool information it reached over 4.8TH in less than a minute w/o needing to do the soft reboot. I don't see any sticker on the hashboard as some reported before, it looks like brand spanking new Smiley
