Farck, they are checking every single hashing board manually and labeling them post-pressing? This is generally accepted as the reason test pressings are part of a QA\QC process before bulk production with anything in the semi-conductor industry.

Even though I am agitated beyond belief waiting for my nine s7's, from an IT perspective I feel sorry for the poor employees having to test the boards. Shortcuts are a gamble, they just crapped out and their employees are manually testing each board due to skipping test presses in the fabrication process.

Sigh!

I just noticed that my hash boards are labeled 600M, which I'll go ahead and assume means they've been tested to work properly at 600 MHz.

Can people who have received units with stock clocks of 575MHz confirm my theory? Also, for the few of you who received a unit before bitmin's time off, could you verify if you have a sticker at all? I'd guess there isn't one.

Isn't BW the same as LKETC who made a shitload of Dragon miners back in the day? They're not new although the 14nm thing could well be vaporware. The Dragon was based on a 28nm chip made by someone else so it's hard to believe how they suddenly have the ability to make a 14nm one.

Anyway, on topic, at approximately ~0.027 BTC per day our compensation after 3 days should be around $20 per S7.

I just read the article, although I know nothing about them outside of the article.

Yay, I have $180 so far that will likely be taxed in creative ways to reduce it further. \o/

Where is competition ?

/r/bitcoin had a link to this story I read last night, https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/the-unknown-giant-a-first-look-inside-bw-one-of-china-s-oldest-and-largest-miners-1444675310

"We will also be offering the 14nm chip in a miner for consumers"

Apparently they are working on a 14nm chip, so that's something we can hope they will actually sell to individuals. I am not familiar with them and I don't find google translate does a good enough job when researching them on .cn sites.

Who all is still waiting on B1 miners?

My B1 order from 9/5 has not been shipped. Or if it has, I have no tracking info.

No answer to my emails to Bitmain either. I've don't even bother with their support system because it's never been effective for me.

I wish.. I don't even want anything Antmain anymore. Even if it were 10x efficiency, on principle I would give them the middle finger.

So, my four units are supposedly on the truck for delivery today... But they also were supposed to have been delivered yesterday but they were held up by customs, who wasn't working...

Now they are showing that there is a duty due because customs or UPS classified them as an 'power supplies greater than 500W'

...

No end to the inanity from every party involved.

What was your order date?

Ordered on Day 1, USD Payment confirmed 09/02

It would seem that mine were just outside the cutoff for the 'first wave' of miners to go out, noting that confirmed payment dates all the way to the 6th are arriving this week.

Also it would appear that they tried their best to send those of us who purchased 'early' the full rate miners, or several of us just got lucky.

Again, the communication is poor, but delivery is what counts.  Who all is still waiting on B1 miners?

I am still waiting on my Sep 6 (order and payment confirmed date) order, nothing shows up on UPS yet. Where did you get this information "noting that confirmed payment dates all the way to the 6th are arriving this week".

Go Big or Go Home.....
I'm happy to announce I got my order of S7's today!
you be more happy when return your invested money

I wish.. I don't even want anything Antmain anymore. Even if it were 10x efficiency, on principle I would give them the middle finger.

Sadly right now there is one brand to buy new.  It is much harder then it sounds to go F Bitmain I wont buy from principle.

Until there are other miners out Bitmain kinda owns the market.  And can do what they want. For better or worse.

I'll probably sell them on ebay after I get them.... IF I GET THEM.

It is very easy to say 'F U to Antminer'.. I believe in Karma and believe in Principles and Business ethics. I'll easily pass on these miners as I get them
and either take a break from mining or just keep using my old miners at free or low cost locations.
It's not my income so no big deal.

Was looking forward to upping my mining footprint by a few-fold, but screw them.

You could still recoup your cost and some by selling in-hand miners on eBay when you get them since Bitmain is not going to refund.

All four of my units are hashing at ~4.8Gh/S stock clocked from the factory at 600 mhz.

While I have complaints about the level communication from Bitmain, and the "current" reduced pricing offered from their website, they delivered machines in spec, in the timeframe provided, at the price then agreed, and as long as they remain stable, I have no quarrel  or claim with them.

My boxes all had the same Blue "D" Sticker as in torepia's pic.

Also noted they say "Antminer S7 Submodel S7_4.86" on a small sticker bearing the model number... Does anyone with low hashing units have a different sticker?

Good luck to all those still waiting for their orders and happy hashing.  Smiley

I'm averaging 5017GH/s after 3 hours at 625MHz. Very solid product, great work bitmain!

I'll be setting up my 240 power meter setup next to get some readings. I may be getting close to this PSU's limit at 625MHz, so I'll continue testing after i can monitor everything properly. Going to keep upping the OC until I find it's limit.

Would be interesting to know what kind of J/GH you get at diff clocks!
