I'm averaging 5017GH/s after 3 hours at 625MHz. Very solid product, great work bitmain!

I'll be setting up my 240 power meter setup next to get some readings. I may be getting close to this PSU's limit at 625MHz, so I'll continue testing after i can monitor everything properly. Going to keep upping the OC until I find it's limit.

This is how they look in Minera dashboard:

Seems like the HW-error counter is WAY off.

What does your pool show?

Eligius pool doesn't show anything but hashrate afaik!
Look at the Antminer dash pic from the post above, it shows HW error @ 0.02%? Or am I reading it wrong?

I'm happy to announce I got my order of S7's today!

Order date: 30.08
Payment confirmed: 06.09

UPS delivered on time as usual. I must say I'm very pleased with UPS and their service, DHL can suck it!

Properly wrapped by Bitmain:

Seems like they were stressed when packing these, didn't even have time to wash their hands before handling it: Tongue

Testing and configuring, one by one:

I had some trouble with my router, didn't offer them DHCP leases properly. 5 of them got an IP straightaway, but it didn't show in my routers DHCP leases list.
The last one I reset to factory settings by using the reset button/pin-hole to the right of the ethernet-port. This might have been unnecessary, probably my router that fucked up.

I can recommend this tool to scan your network for devices, handy if you get a buggy DHCP leases list, like I did.

Power draw from 1x S7 running on Bitmain's APW3-12-1600-B2. This is better than expected.

PS: I got 235V measured at the socket before turning on the miners. It drops to around 230 when they are all running.

Out with the old, in with the new. S1 and S7 size comparison:

I will be sending my S1 boards to sidehack if he decides to make those pod-miners.

All 6 miners seems to be in good condition, clocked at 600Mhz as default.

They are all running at 4.8X TH/s at the moment, this makes me super happy, I was too worried about this! Grin
The running temperature is fine, seems to run at 40-45C given 10C ambient/input temp. Only one of the miners got proper input airflow at the moment, the others are running at 65C. (Does not seem to affect TH/s)
When I fix the airflow I'm pretty sure they will all run around 40-45C. Will be interesting to see how they will run when winter sets in, and the input/ambient temp will be -10 to -20 (Hopefully ^^)

And finally, here's a short video to demonstrate the noise it makes. I have a feeling my neighbours might complain.

I'm currently running 5 out of 6 miners. I need a new PSU for the last one.

So, my four units are supposedly on the truck for delivery today... But they also were supposed to have been delivered yesterday but they were held up by customs, who wasn't working...

Now they are showing that there is a duty due because customs or UPS classified them as an 'power supplies greater than 500W'

...

No end to the inanity from every party involved.

I'm liking the S7 a whole lot so far.

Obviously warranty concerns are not an issue for you!   Cool

Please let us know if you miner is able to run stably at that clock speed.  Assuming that it stays stable, what are your ambient temps and are you able to determine the draw in watts at that clock?

I just received a shipping confirmation for my Batch 3 Miners. Unfortunately it does not contain a tracking number. Hope this is not a mistake Smiley

I just got the same thing.  Shipping.  No tracking number.  (UPS)

Oh crap, forgot about Columbus day, how convenient.
Ship it!

if bimain would have merged with SPT, considering complementary US holidays...hypothetically: SPT does not work Fri,Sat, BMT SAT Sun-three days are gone. Plus chinese few golden weeks plus few israeli specific holidays Plus christmas plus US official holidays-pretty sure at least half of days on the calendar would be gone  Smiley

I'm not sure i"m gonna do it but i'd like to know how I can OVERCLOCK to the maximum SAFELY the ANTMINER S7?    Huh

If I had an S7 & if it was a 4.86TH unit and if I was going to overclock it I would adjust the psu to be 12V + 5% (12.6V) at the PCIE connectors then take it up a step at a time, check for HW errors and keep a close eye on the temperatures. Theoretically from the BM1385 data sheet about 725MHz should be possible, but with them reducing the spec for some Miners that is more uncertain than usual.

The above just my thoughts and in no way a recommendation, Overclock at your own risk. I am sure someone will hae tried it and have some real experience, but may not share until Warranty has expired.  Smiley

Rich

to follow up on this  here is a great psu on ebay on a great sale

http://www.ebay.com/itm/191698868004?

I ordered one  this is a 350 usd psu

http://www.trcelectronics.com/View/Mean-Well/RSP-1500-12.shtml

https://www.trcelectronics.com/ecomm/pdf/rsp1500.pdf

it should range from 10 volts to 13.5 and is 87 % efficient .  I should be able to do full volt testing with it on my s-7's

I do not know the seller and I hope he is good.

Also if you want to do voltage testing on any gear fuckups

 to youself
 to other people
 to pets
and property are all on you.

Not me for pointing out where to get a quality testing psu at a discount price.

They really have killed some testing with their policy's now on warranty.  In S3/S5 there was a lot of overclocking and sharing of data.   I did not think anything about overclocking.  Also switching fans to quieter fan's they killed as it violates warranty.  I suspect some have tried it though to.

But now the 90 day warranty is violated by doing almost anything.   So basically first 90 day's you would be nuts to overclock.  I don't even overclock myself during warranty as I feel if I have a problem I will get screwed.   I don't suggest anyone overclocking.  And Rich is very right if it is happening it will not get posted, as then it's proof of void warranty.
