Seems like a normal difference between 56 and 64(~3%)? Considering theres over 10% more shader cores on 64, 56s with 64s bios do well.

Maybe your 56 cant handle 1100hbm? I have 2 64s, 1100 and other is 1065 hbm capable.

You are right, Vega 56 is slower than Vega 64.
But this is not what I am complaining about.

I am complaining about, that the Vega 56 is going up and down in hashrate: between 1870 and 1940H/s.

And I repeat, its not carved in stone every vega can do even 1100mhz hbm Wink

Cool it down or lower the clocks like suggested.

make sure you have fan RPM enough to keep memory cool.
and gandalf's cast xmr does better with vega56 than xmr_stak

Win10 fresh install. After installing new drivers all cards remained as Basic display adapters in device manager.

So, installed 23aug blockchain drivers instead new ones.

look for the 17.40 drivers they say beta but the work great on my 3 vega rig 40 eth 150 lbr with 1090 mem

Disclaimer! This is only tested for few hours. No responsibility if you'll burn you cards.
Disclaimer 2! With mem speed higher then 1150mhz seems to produce fake hashrate. Meaning that memory errors lead to less found shares. Pity we have no tools to track HBM memory errors as we have with polaris cards.

I plugged all cards into x1 slots and all is working fine since then. Try to leave the long pci-e slot blank.
There is no such problem with the older pro btc mobo.

Hi guys,
For now I am spent almost two weeks to get running 8gpus vega 64 on w10 and monero / eth mining.
I am was unable to turn on hbm2 on more than 3gpus and the xmr-stak is unstable as hell. It withstand only 4hours of mining before the whole system freeze. Even with 1408/905, 945/900 and intensity 1500/1500 system will freeze. For option 4gpus for monero and 4gpus for etc it will survive longer. yup i tried these as well since with blockchain drivers i could not turn off crossfire which was throttiling the other vega card.

I plan to update all my AMD rigs to this new driver

Try clean uninstall. Remove all registry folders and start again. Your cards were added on new registry keys with default settings.
