Bitcoin dominance is above 65% which is something unusual since Altcoins started getting more interest from investors. It also seems that this percentage is increasing steadily for quite some time now. This is not surprising since Bitcoin was the most profitable coin in 2019 and people don't take the risk investing in altcoins anymore, they realized that Bitcoin is less risky as the price almost always eventually recover afterwards when it comes to BTC.

So what  to do you think? Are altcoin getting boycotted, giving Bitcoin an increasing dominance from now on?
Lack of trust on altcoins is the reason why the dominance of bitcoin is not increasing and I feel we have too many altcoins which has real value and hundreds were died and delisted from everywhere so only reason for people to invest on altcoins is to make some quick profits other than that I don't think they don't have any future.

Currently altcoin is being ostracized by investors quite a lot. With greater risks and the failure to develop safely, altcoins are taking over Bitcoin market share.

Bitcoin is the most profitable coin in 2019 and it is taking over half of the cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin dominated for a long time was one of the reasons that other altcoins were boycotted.

Bitcoin has dominated the cryptocurrency system for a long time and is not stopping. It accounts for 65% of the market and does not give other altcoins a chance to rise. altcoins have a high risk ratio, which is probably why people are so hesitant to invest in altcoins.

People with money will begin investing in altcoins only after Bitcoin slows down after a big rally. There will be altcoin season then. And the last ones to grow will be nonames and ICOs/IEOs, imho

Why compare altcoins to bitcoin superiority? Of course bitcoin dominance is going to increase relatively to altcoins. Imaginr all exchange and market had btc pair of course they could still be on top as expected. Investors know which is less risky in terms of trading and btc is always a safe play ground.

You can't predict that Bitcoin dominance will continue to increase for ever. Because during the last 3-4 months, we have witnessed it coming down from 71% to 66%. But still, we may see a consolidation in the altcoin market. The number of new coins getting listed has declined considerably and the total number of active coins is getting reduced due to smaller ones dying out. IMO, within the next 2-3 years we may be having only a few hundred altcoins, instead of the current number of approx. 10,000.

This can be called natural selection too, the many proejcts disappeared in the last bear market. The trading intrest decreased towards the crypto markets and the recovery chances are low, from my viewpoint. The boycotted altcoins will suffer in their dip price level for a long time, it looks like.

Yes correct and not at all altcoins, but these past few months most people are tired investing in altcoins, tired in checking out new crypto project and that you can see in the telegram community, usually bots are talking in the group, for now people trusted more Bitcoin, although there are still who were trying to invest in some altcoins.

I think it is because people are looking for a more reliable and coin with real use that you can spend. There are more and more places accepting bitcoin every day and it makes sense that people are buying bitcoin to spend at these places. For me, bitcoin is a sure thing in the long run. Altcoins are good for making quick profits and then they are never to be seen again. Altcoins that stick it out and stay around for the long term generally have a use even if it is just to pay for things.

Not that boycotted as a whole but in some ways, yes many of them are being ignored because of the performance that the market showed last year. To be specific, bitcoin also didn't do good last year and this turned into the minds of every investor that investing into alt is riskier than bitcoin. I think we've seen bitcoin's dominance around 75% this year and that only means that investors are still there and still believing into bitcoin so no matter how many altcoins can be seen to be good, many are not willing to take higher risk.
They might securing their investment that's why they are keeping Bitcoin instead of risking it to other Alts. Investors learned from the past and don't want to suffer with the same mistakes that they've got from the last time bear season. They are trying to keep much lesser risk that's why we are seeing that Bitcoin keeps dominating the market.
Yes, that's one lesson that everyone has learned from that bad experience we've got last year. We don't want to invest into another altcoin that won't have the assurance to stay even at the most difficult times of the market.
People are just becoming wiser this time and the others should also follow that strategy and not that if they've found a new altcoin, they'll turn into it quickly.

Altcoins are experiencing now is not a good time and everyone who invests in them soon realizes this. And in the end, everyone still returns to bitcoin.
Everyone has their own research in investing, both those who return to bitcoin and who still survive on altcoin unconsciously or consciously, so it all depends on our individual knowledge of altcoin.

The deeper knowledge you will get now, you will understand that this is the time to look for opportunities for all complaints that occur now. Look for new things that produce something good for you.

I really don’t know what board said about Altcoins but  I think not all altcoins are the same or been hated by people. Bitcoin is ever Green coin and it will never lose the worth and value of the coins. We are in era of digital coins where bitcoin has special place and until crypto world is there bitcoin will be the best one coin forever.

Agree this kind of news was not surprising since a lot of investors was just in only in bitcoin and also just in popular altcoins in the market surely this is going to happened since a lot of altcoins in the market are already useless and dead token this happened because a lot of altcoins project in the past years are just a scam project and surely in the future, a lot of altcoins in the market are going to be dead since their will be no people that are going to be interested to invest in this kind of token.

Boycotting requires some sort of ill doing by the thing that is being boycotted. Altcoins are not boycotted for now, they are just not liked by the people (at least most of the altcoins) and they feel like (investors/traders) there is not enough money to be made by buying altcoins so they stopped buying it. I feel like that is not a boycott but more of a smart decision making by the investors.

I personally do not buy any altcoins then the ones I already have because I feel like there is not much money to be made from them. I own a bit of BNB and EOS nowadays and I always had ETH as well, those are the only altcoins I have on top of the bitcoin I have, all the other altcoins looks like they may not make any money if you ask me, why would I risk my funds for the altcoins I don't trust, that is not boycotting.

All altcoins hope are all on bitcoin now, it depends on what happens with bitcoin next year then we will have answers maybe altcoins will stand a chance or not, I believe if no new money getting into bitcoin the price will remain the same with just few ups and downs

not boycotted, but because of the large number of projects that come out every day so investors will be divided and cause a lack of funds in a project or indeed the project does not have clear objectives.
so people prefer to invest in existing alt.

But entirely not because of the breakdown of investors, but many new projects that only deceive investors and hurt investors. Scam projects are always there and more and more. Must be careful to choose the project. Many have been trapped in fake projects and have never benefited.

these two years many investors have suffered huge losses due to investing in altcoin. most of the altcoin are scams and cannot last long on the crypto market. and for old altcoins like ethereum, litecoin also experienced a decline in the altcoin market as it could not grow. This results in investors only choosing bitcoin because even though bitcoin is also declining but several times bitcoin is still experiencing an increase.
this is what causes bitcoin to dominate the crypto market. hopefully in 2020 the altcoin market starts to recover again I'm still optimistic that the altcoin market can be green again when bitcoin is pumping.
