Bitcoin dominance is above 65% which is something unusual since Altcoins started getting more interest from investors. It also seems that this percentage is increasing steadily for quite some time now. This is not surprising since Bitcoin was the most profitable coin in 2019 and people don't take the risk investing in altcoins anymore, they realized that Bitcoin is less risky as the price almost always eventually recover afterwards when it comes to BTC.

So what  to do you think? Are altcoin getting boycotted, giving Bitcoin an increasing dominance from now on?
I think look like this many investor boycotted altcoin by giving space for bitcoin keep dominance on coin market cap more than 65%, how ever the power full on investor hands which one they want to get dominance with coin market cap, bitcoin or altcoin. Based on profitable I think altcoin have big chance to get much profit than invest money with bitcoin because have higher price than altcoin.

Bitcoin dominance is indeed getting stronger by the day and this leaves the altcoin market very porous and susceptible to little or no profitability. I personally won't be willing to risk my fund on a market that does not seem profitable and I guess most persons are on the same page. The altcoin market could be very lucrative for those who are willing to take the risk.

Altcoins are experiencing now is not a good time and everyone who invests in them soon realizes this. And in the end, everyone still returns to bitcoin.

This is a natural thing because bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency in the world, investors expect a lot of bitcoin. But altcoin is currently also gaining trust from investors such as Ethereum, Tron, Ripple, and EOS.

To an extent yes and this is purely because the market has been flooded with too many worthless tokens from projects that fail to deliver on their roadmaps or have become superseded by a newer product or solution so always DYOR to avoid making the mistake of investing in these lower cap higher risk options as they aren't always worth it
It's true that the market is saturated with all these worthlless tokens and usually stealing the spotlight because their price are manipulated but it's still not true that altcoins are getting boycotted even the daily trading volume is still huge and the lower cap altcoins still have their traders although I agree with you that these coin are risky. the reason for the decrease of altcoins dominance is because people know the real value of altcoins then they decide to sell them off and just turn the capital to bitcoin.

Boycotted is too strong a word, but until we see some upward movement with alts, not so sure investors will exactly flock back to altcoins. It'd also help if BTC at least inched forward a little bit ... instead it seems to be falling back.

Those that has good number of altcoin in their portfolio now, has a better tendency of making huge profits comes next year. Investing in thousands of altcoin token at cheap price and reselling it back at high price seems more profitable. Albeit majority of investors always think that investing only in bitcoin will give them the desirable profit they long for, but they forget easily that they can make the same profit in altcoin, if the invest wisely
Totally agree with you. The large price dominance of bitcoin in the cryptocurrency market cannot last too long. Funds will inevitably be poured into altcoins. If the altcoin project is good, then you need to keep its coins or tokens. They are able to bring much greater profits in the future than even bitcoin.
Altcoins no one boycotts. Now, a temporary unfavorable situation has simply developed for them. She will change for the better.

So what  to do you think? Are altcoin getting boycotted, giving Bitcoin an increasing dominance from now on?
The right term should be less interest. We know that altcoins are mostly dependent with Bitcoins prices but some did not recover at all. Investors are tend to be more cautious now than before, but as a young market theres always a room for growth expect a bloom again after the big recovery of mother of all crypto.

First if you have a new coin it will produce a big thing for you but it's different now. The coins become junk that fills your wallet forever.
not all coins are junk, some new coins are starting to develop. there is no new platform that can suddenly compete directly with platforms that have long existed on the market. because now many new projects but using the same concept with the existing platform. then it becomes a big challenge for new projects to survive in the market because they have to compete with existing platforms. when they come up with the same situation and concept without different updates and coins. of course a market that is not strong will make them not grow even they will not be interested in the market.

That's the thing they have to go through now. All in bad terms even though they are something new or the tokens are old. If they are not able to survive then you come by the words of many people.

Altcoins are good, but this year seems to be really bad for them and a lot of people have been dropping. I have even stopped investing in altcoins and the only cryptocurrency in my portfolio is Bitcoin as it's been more profitable for me than altcoins have ever been. Most of the investors I know have also dumped altcoins to focus more on Bitcoin. If you check the last predictions that were made in 2018 you will notice that a lot of people have predicted that altcoins are not going to increase during the next bull, except maybe a few of them like Ethereum and Litecoin.

Due to lots of scams, new investors may not prefer to risk their money in altcoins but I am sure this kind of situation will definitely change in coming days once some altcoins like dash or waves or BNB will be giving good profits to its investors, I guess people may start investing with it like before.

I can't get what you are talking about dude. the fact that altcoin is still exist these days and you must see that only scam coins are getting banned and boycotted by the community.
Op is generalizing if all altcoin are getting boycotted. a lot of altcoins are able to survive and CMC has proven it.

Better to hold strong altcoins now if you still have interest in them, I believe that the altcoins that will perform very well in future are strong altcoins with good useful cases, there is still chances of making big profits from altcoins but not shitcoins anymore
At the moment market is not stable, it is very risky to buy altcoin now. Even though the price went up, it was only a slight reflection, then dropped deeper. No matter how good altcoin is, you should never love it, even altcoin is as good as Matic, the price can drop -50% in a day.
I was really surprised to see the fall of Matic. It has dropped by over 60% in just a few hours, which has made me no longer trust any altcoins in this market again. Most altcoins are scams, only BTC is stable and reliable to invest in this market

that's because bitcoin is the king's coin in this industrial space, even so many new and old coins to date none of them can replace bitcoin. bitcoin is a profitable investment, and you don't need to worry if you want to invest with bitcoin for the long term.

Bitcoin has always been dominating altcoins ever since and I think you came out with that idea is because bitcoin has been down lately and we failed to notice its dominance over altcoins. Indeed bitcoin has been the most profitable coin for the year 2019 but it has always been the most profitable coin ever since it is the pioneer of all the cryptocurrency we have now. Let us just hope that bitcoin would continue to increase so that altcoins would increase too soon.

Not that boycotted as a whole but in some ways, yes many of them are being ignored because of the performance that the market showed last year. To be specific, bitcoin also didn't do good last year and this turned into the minds of every investor that investing into alt is riskier than bitcoin. I think we've seen bitcoin's dominance around 75% this year and that only means that investors are still there and still believing into bitcoin so no matter how many altcoins can be seen to be good, many are not willing to take higher risk.
They might securing their investment that's why they are keeping Bitcoin instead of risking it to other Alts. Investors learned from the past and don't want to suffer with the same mistakes that they've got from the last time bear season. They are trying to keep much lesser risk that's why we are seeing that Bitcoin keeps dominating the market.

There is no boycott as such, but investors are not willing to invest in new coins anymore after the huge losses they incurred during 2018. That said, if a group of altcoin promoters or developers are able to convince the investors about the future potential of their coin, there is still a good chance that they'll be able to attract investment. But what happens now is that although the ICO promoters want money from the investors, they are not ready to listen to their queries and doubts.

The goal of all investors is to earn money on investment income. Altcoins used to be just such an attractive investment, and that only kept investors in the market. When it became clear that altcoins no longer generate revenue, but rather reduce it, on the contrary, most investors simply took their money and left the market, but not all were able to do so. Few people need altcoins now, they are too dangerous.
