Bitcoin dominance is above 65% which is something unusual since Altcoins started getting more interest from investors. It also seems that this percentage is increasing steadily for quite some time now. This is not surprising since Bitcoin was the most profitable coin in 2019 and people don't take the risk investing in altcoins anymore, they realized that Bitcoin is less risky as the price almost always eventually recover afterwards when it comes to BTC.

So what  to do you think? Are altcoin getting boycotted, giving Bitcoin an increasing dominance from now on?

The dominance of Bitcoin has increased in the last 12 months which is not expected for the growth of cryptocurrency. It means that altcoins are becoming worthless gradually which is very bad sign for altcoins. I hope altcoin dominance will increase in the upcoming days.
A boycott will never occur on altcoins. You certainly know for Altcoin is very complication market conditions. The basic advantages of progress and shy away from the boycotts have been lived in getting any further inflated profits. Do not just be resigned with circumstances continue to maintain a growing state will be able to awaken the progress that demonstrates the perfect thing.

Bitcoin dominance in the market today is more than 60% in my opinion because the market cap value is down compared to the beginning of 2018. Besides that, the number of new coins affects the dominance of altcoin in the market and I think this is not a sign of altcoin in the boycott but investors prefer to secure their investments in the form of Bitcoin

investors lost huge money in altcoins last few years. That's why people afraid to invest in altcoins and investing money in bitcoin. But few top rated altcoins is doing well. Now a days investors investing money in top altcoins. If you see that BNB,ETH,LTC,NEO is doing well. But after scam ICO and some projects didn't survive and run away. That's why investors only giving priority in bitcoin.
Those investors who are familiar with how things works with alts market still managed to earn decent from those good alts around the market. This people are not afraid taking the risk knowing that there's still potentials if you will pay attentions with the community response with any market  movements. If you are keen to succeed following alts that inside the top 10 can still provide benefits just don't stop working and finding your opportunities.

Bitcoin dominance is very high now but if bitcoin reaches a new ATH whales will want to take advantage of this by taking out the profits from bitcoin and putting it into altcoin, once bitcoin dominance start decreasing altcoin season will begin

It's not getting boycotted, exactly. You've said it yourself, it's because people are now realizing that bitcoin is less risky because we know if there's dump, the pump follows not too far from it. That might be why people are hesitant to invest their money on altcoins, since we've seen a very deep downfall pretty much everywhere.

Especially this past few years, altcoins has quite the worst performance it seems. That's the more reason bitcoin always above them all.
But, if you look closely, there should be one or two altcoins that's not really affected by bitcoin's dominance. Well, we'll see if market condition will be better in time.

no, altcoin is not boycotted. in my opinion, Altcoin is an alternative coin to get Bitcoin. Why? this is one way to collect bitcoin with various kinds, one is to invest in altcoin and ICO / IEO. after they benefit. investors will invest in bitcoin which has a smaller risk. so the volume of bitcoin is increasing. while altcoin continues to decrease. besides, altcoin fluctuation is very large. so many investors are afraid to invest in altcoin.

How can we say the altcoins are boycotted when the market cap of the altcoins are in the tens of billions of USD? If the altcoins are boycotted then we should be seeing a market cap which is not even reaching one million USD. But that is not happening. One of the reasons is, as you have mentioned, the altcoins could be one of the ways to increase your Bitcoin holdings. That is also what I am doing. I buy an altcoin when the price is low and then sell it when the price is high. The prices I am referring to is in Bitcoin and not in USD.

This is not surprising since Bitcoin was the most profitable coin in 2019
Not just in 2019, Bitcoin has always overshadowed altcoins, but this year and the last, altcoins performed or are still performing poorly in the market, it's now too much of a risk to invest in them, that's not connoting that they are being boycotted, it just simply means that there are less people investing in them, and also the bitcoin, it's a risky market, but the risk is more evident in the altcoin market.

Most altcoins are currently dimmed in value, but in certain altcoins  like ethereum, Litecoin, Doge, XRP, BNB and many more there are still interested people to trade, investors are still interested in these coins. Who survives then he is the strong though Bitcoin dominates, but altcoin must be able to survive in all situations if want to still get the hearts of traders and investors.

I can never really see BNB in the same class of all the others you just mentioned. Yes, even Dogecoin to me is superior as an altcoin and a crypto. BNB is just a token in my eyes.

Even XRP I have some because of speculation, and because I know they can be around for a long time. You talk about hearts of traders and investors, but you don't say anything about community? Is it because you know BNB doesn't really have one like ETH or LTC?

Certainly altcoins will continue to exist alongside bitcoin. Bitcoin is like the gold of the cryptocurrency market but it is too slow and expensive, needing other altcoins to solve problems that Bitcoin cannot do.
Besides, the cryptocurrency market also contributes a lot of altcoins. There may be many altcoins lost in the future, but I will definitely have other altcoins instead.

The dominance is very high therefore it is a big fact that most of the investors right now are favoring to bitcoin compare to altcoins but I can say that it will not last long especially if the market will start to recover then other investors will surely shift their investment to other coins/altcoins.

This happening is because of the market condition, if you follow the peak of 2017 then you can say that this happening is absent but right now that we are almost at the bottom then it became present. Let's just hope that we can recover next year so we can see whether the altcoins were being boycotted or not.

I think this has nothing to do with the boycott, because in my understanding the boycott is to refuse cooperation. Does altcoin cooperate with bitcoin? I do not think so. Even if prices are down or up, people will still buy altcoin according to their own understanding. And it will continue like that forever. Because in this case there is definitely an opportunity for them to seek profit. So I don't think this is something that should be thought about seriously. Just relax: D

Altcoin won't be boycotted, it's just not the time. Altcoin will get a chance when it will rise. Bitcoin dominance is indeed quite high. But we can still invest through popular Altcoins like ethereum, XLM, XRP, DOGE, TRX and many more. Now you will get a cheap price and get a lot of profit when altcoin starts to rise and the price will be stable.

What do you mean boycotted? Altcoin might be slowing down because of various reasons

(1) altcoin market is down because investors are reluctant and scared to put their hard earn money because of the worsening market conditions

(2) scam projects 90% of them are just running projects that is purely scam

So smart investors are getting into BTC because it is a safe bet for them.

Maybe we will see altcoin season again, but it really depends on bitcoin in the future, specially that bitcoin halving is coming up next year. And I'm sure that when the market conditions improved, many altcoin investors will get back to their favorite pump and dump schem.

Just people are being pessimistic to majority of the altcoins and seeing that most of them are underperforming it does make sense to see the increase of bitcoin dominance to 65% or above. Bitcoin is still the most valuable crypto as of now and a relatively safer than any altcoin ever existed in term of investment so I think it's just the market that decides these alts real value which is actually less than when it got hyped up too much.

altcoin will not be boycotted, it's just that now people are still hesitant to be on altcoin because there is no response to a significant price increase. altcoin will still be there, it's just that investors are waiting for that moment for altcoin to increase and they will be in altcoin again

The cryptocurrency market is not about boycotted or not, but how people can get benefit from owning it and by having Bitcoin they realize that they will benefit compared to altcoin, which is the process of choosing which one will give benefit more difficult because of the large number of choice.
Bitcoin will continue to dominate as long as there is no Altcoin that the market sees has the same potential as Bitcoin or even more.
