It's hard nowdays to get funded, like many Kickstarter doesn't go well cause there's hundreds of them, so do ICOs, people rather keep for another bull ensuring food IEO that far more promising, no hassle on listing and volume, that's the harsh fact, but hidden gem do existed, some private fund that issues securities like stock can succeed but not those fishy ones

ICOs are not dead and we will be in the good state again in the spring with the help of the bull market.  ICO projects lost their reliability after scamming the people and using their money for their own ideas.

Soon, ICO can really lose interest in themselves. All investors have long turned their attention to a new form of sales of tokens. It is called IEO and is held on exchanges.

ICOs are not really dead but it is evolving as we have seen that people prefer investing in IEOs now than ICO because of the instant liquidity that it always provide. I think as time goes on, IEO will replace ICO entirely and there won't be ICO again

The controversies surrounding ICO as a whole , is way too much. In a way, a major factor for such controversies is the fact that a lot of projects in the past turned out to be scam and millions of dollars were lost by investors and other individual who donated the little they had into the project. As a result of the bad  experience with ICOs in the past, majority slowly are declining feom participating in ICOs, as no one is ready to keep feeding up the scammers with their hard earned money.

No, they are not completely dead. Good projects always raise money for your product. The problem is that too many scammers have appeared and it is becoming more and more difficult to see a good project among them.
That's why ICO in the current view dead. This problem doesn't have a solution at this step of crypto industry development. And that's why IEO's also are a dead child. Only for a short profit and some lottery. I think it happens soon. Maybe 3-4 projects which will give x0.5 and all will end
IEO made the ICO looks dead, but it's really not dead, there was only a decrease of investments coming from the public.
I haven't invested in IEO yet but I believe investing in ICO is easier as it does not usually sold out easily, IEO can be sold out in seconds.

Decidedly no. We are at the protean stages of a shift in how concepts are funded and brought to market. Initial Coin Offerings and the tokens that spring from them are most certainly not ead. As an investor in early stage companies through the group I co-founded AICoin I am approached by at least 20 tokens a day looking for capital to finance their token marketing strategies, advisors of mentorship.

I don’t think that icos is dead. There have still some good ICOs which is very profitable. But it’s very hard to identify which one is legit one.
So far, IEO has intercepted a lot of people and ICO projects have become even more unprofitable, but that doesn't mean that ICO has died

For me, it was almost like everyday food to hear people say ICO was dead and instead said it was not dead. From what I observed, indeed many ICOs are fraudulent or fail but there are still many good ICOs and we can trust managers, actually we just need to be more careful and alert.
IEO is the order now but there are revelations of scam for recent IEO which will give subsequent project food for thought. Probably we might start giving preference to exchanges with credibility. Everyone looks hungry for money

Can you recommend some good ICO projects recently? I almost no longer believe in it, I still participate in the bounty campaign but I haven't identified the legit project.

After participating in several ICO project, which turned out to be scam projects. My hard earned money disappeared in to thin air, with no way to trace or recover my money back. I had to act like it never happened to get it off my mind and move on.

Are ICOs really dead and do you still invest in ICO projects?

I don't trust ICO's by the way, but to say that ICOS are dead here on the forum, it might induce a feeling for the investors to stop investing and choose another investment platform such as IEO which are new to the market. Eventually, ICO will surely die if that so happens.

I think it really isn't dead yet. I still have seen some more on going plans for ICOs but I don't know if many could still succeed given the fact that the market is not that yet bullish and there were too many ICOs that almost have similar services offered. There is a great competition going on between the new ICOs and the existing ones. Recently there were good movements to the market and I am hoping that it will continue, otherwise prices could probably drop again and new ICOs as a result cannot benefit from it.

The time of people investing in ICO's blindly is definitely over. Now people think, research and then invest. I have seen good community turn out for XAUp Pokens projects which is created by the Populous PPT team. The Pokens are pegged to gold and its already making quite a buzz in the market now.
I think that these are just words about that tokens are pegged to gold. in fact, all this words is said to create a hype around the project

Are ICOs really dead and do you still invest in ICO projects?

I think so, the bear-market after the recent bull-run had killed most ICO. Majority of ICOs failed last 2018 which caused other ICOs to suffer. Even successful ICOs suffered during the bear market since the nominal value of the crypto they collected during their ICO stage went down, leaving them lesser budget for project development.

the case you face will not make the ICO die, because the aim of the ICO is to involve the public and take investors in the market, to answer a failed ICO, investors and developers are currently developing the IEO concept, which is expected to reduce ICO project fraud, the IEO will make people trust tokens more, because the IEO directly sells tokens in the exchange market.
