Not all ICO of course. currently we are in  a bearish market season and no one cares to accumulate new coins from ICO and that's the reason ICO price are falling but once the market become bullish this hibernated ICO coins would resurrect and recover its ICO price  just be patient as long as you join in good ICO coins you don't need to worry wait for the market to become bullish.

After participating in several ICO project, which turned out to be scam projects. My hard earned money disappeared in to thin air, with no way to trace or recover my money back. I had to act like it never happened to get it off my mind and move on.

Are ICOs really dead and do you still invest in ICO projects?

It is not completely dead, there are still ICO's run their token sale if you search the forum.
But seems like many investors prefer to investing their money on IEO than ICO.
Unless you have a good ICO that have a good marketing strategy, it won't be succeed to raise funds.

I always said that icos are not dead. Yup they got some problem like failed ico or scammy one or market conditions. But many of them have potential to do something. I know there is many project who scammed people or failed after a successful ICO. And ico investment is always risky. If you don't know nothing about the market and ico ecosystem then it's more risky for you. But you can see now icos are again healed with market conditions. So they are not dead but they got some updown with market conditions. That's it. So some research on your own and try to gather more knowledge about this whole ecosystem then go for investment. That will be more profitable for you.

When the market is good, the ICOS projects will be good and potential. But when the market is not good, ICOS projects are difficult to attract investors to buy. Only projects which have potential capital can develop well. this time ICOS will not be as good as 2017. We will wait for the next few months to have many changes in the crypto market. I will invest when Bitcoin goes up.

I will never invest in ICO anymore, no one can guarantee that a project will succeed and investors will recover money, also some of ICO's just make advertising and after they sell their coins never do what they say will do with funds.

All investments is risky buddy,,
But if we do not take the risk,, we will never have a chance to get a good profit my friend
About ico,, i think not all ico bad and i believe ico will not dead in the near time  Wink

ICO was still alive at the moment, I believed in it mate. In fact, I knew that most of the community here in the forum believed in the ico campaign project. I think your just disappointed and frustrated about the bad experienced you've faced before when you invest in the ico project where in the end the result was bad.

Yes, this is a risk that we must face. And to track our lost money is of course very difficult. We must be more careful in making decisions. But I think the ICO will not die many good ICO projects.

I'm not investing anymore or even promoting, the ICO cannot be trusted anymore, and investors are migrating to IEO or coins that are already in the market, I don't know if next year we will still going to have an ICO, because there are too many failed and scam ICO, people will ignore new ICO.

Who told you that ICO is dead?  Huh
Your experience in investing in scam ICO would not mean that ICO is dead already or there is no legit ICO left. You're not just lucky enough to pick the right project.
You already have an experience and it will help you in choosing the right project to join with. Be extra cautious because scammers are everywhere.

It may seem to many that this is really the case, because today these processes look extremely horrible. After all, the only thing is that today there is a great demand for this, but today we cannot control the verification of developers.
well, the demand for ICO is currently decreasing because so many projects have become scams. well, but over time, I'm sure ICO will return to its heyday in the future. I think a better development is needed so that ICO in the future is quite difficult to be used as a place for scammers.

I think the hype is already ended. What we see now is just only aftermath. More and more people understands that big part of all ICOs being created is a scam or will be a scam. The only sanction we can take is just stop taking a part in it. but even that might not help somehow

Most ICOs are dead no doubt about that but there are still good ICOs that are running quite well and an example of such which i have come across is wolfpackBOT which is a cryptocurrency trading software that also comes with a hardware device. their sales are doing really great and i know there are other ICOs that are also seeing huge success in their token sales. You just have to make an extensive research about an ICO before investing your funds into their token sales.

I can't say they are outrightly dead because there are still many ico out there and there are few of them that are still hitting their target cap, so it is not fully dead but it's popularity has drastically reduced and this is because of many scam ICOs

A bear market is not a disaster, there is no blood on the streets. Are ICOs dead? Far from it. The current situation is a reality check that only means one thing — Keep calm and focus on a market need. Create a product that people will use and don’t speculate.

Many investors are disappointed with the quality of the projects currently on the market. Surround yourself with the right people in order to build the right MVP.

Yes, really many ico going to dead in the year 2018-2019 still running month March. So I'm avoid investment in any ico now this bad time. But I'm focus top stable old ico coins in coinmarketcap. in fact I'm not agree investment in new ico if everything not clear me.

Do not rush to talk about ICO so confidently. Now slowly begins the revival of the crypto market and we see the beginning of the growth of some coins. That is why some old ICOs can bring profit to those people who have kept their tokens until today. It also seems to me that with the growth of the market, investors will become more active and will invest in new ICOs.

I think people who but from ico's are just ignorant crypto investors who likes to giveaway free money.. nowadays coin developers sell up to 80% of their tokens in private and presale then they sell too investors at ico in overprice

yes ico is really dead for those who are difficult to develop I mean the team that is not serious about developing their program anymore. I believe this is because many of them when entering the market, the price of the pump is only temporary after it is thrown away and there is even no price at all.

It depends on you if you consider it dead or not.
Some just quit on investing and promoting it but there are still some ICO's nowadays.
And also there is a new one that could take over ICO ,IEO is the new trend in crypto but don't be fooled by it because scammers would also create their own IEO.
