When you invest in a scam project, then you should know that your money is gone. This is why it calls for everyone, who desires to invest in good ICO, because there are still genuine ones, to always ensure they do the proper research before investing.
Those who truly study projects, hardly complain of scam, except the price of its coin plummets on exchange.

Now is not the best time to invest in ICO, this does not mean that it is dead, just most investors understand the risks and do not want to lose their funds in the near future, the best solution would be to invest in finished products with good potential.

I agree with you. I wouldn't say ICOs are dead. They aren't. With time, We'll see more startups making an entry to the space but that will be under favorable market conditions because at rhe moment, Ico investors are not ready to invest in any more ICOs. Who would? I mean, with almost all ICOs going below their sale prices when listed on exchanges. In summary, ICOs would be back but that's when the market is favorable.
Some companies interested to create their own crypto and it has a full working product just like bittorrent. The guys that call ico already dead must do a lot of effort to find the best like btt. It can give a lot of money to the early investors even in the bearish market.

After participating in several ICO project, which turned out to be scam projects. My hard earned money disappeared in to thin air, with no way to trace or recover my money back. I had to act like it never happened to get it off my mind and move on.

Are ICOs really dead and do you still invest in ICO projects?
Of couser not, still so many success ICO out there like GMB, PIGZBE and more, and about scam ICO, you just wrong to choose it. Next time make sure before you invest consult with your friend or experienced people about ICO. And i think ICO never die. If you want more safe buy popular coin in exchange, now the price still low

now it is difficult to determine a good project, so that you can participate in investing in it. because almost certainly many projects fail, because in travel investors rarely participate, resulting in the project being a scam. but that does not mean everything is like that because there are still people who can finish the ico by succeeding well. it is good indeed now more careful looking for a project or temporarily stopping waiting for the situation to move again excited.

ICO's might have low quality standards nowadays, but it doesn't leave the fact that, ICO's are still profitable that's why still, many people invest on it in some ways to earn money here in cryptocurrency.

We can understand what happened to the crypto market where it always goes down all the time, so there are a number of projects that eventually become scams and some are not successful where tokens become meaningless. But this situation does not mean that the ICO will die. Because there are also a number of successful projects and some tokens that have prices and are in the crypto currency market, it is certainly our hope that crypto will rise in price again, so tokens have more meaning a successful project with high coin prices, so we can make a profit from investment.

Honestly if some one does not understand much about what is really happening in this present cryptocurrency world, you can just imagine that ICOs are dead, but it is not true, I believe the cryptocurrency world is facing one of the most critical time in its existence, the bear market has made even some promising projects looks dead, and that's what is affecting ICOs.

No, ICOs are not dead, just passing the worst time. In this bear condition of the cryptocurrency market, ICO market made more than 150M USD in January, this is not a stale matter! When every crypto coin, supporters, investors are passing a hard time, so this is normal for ICOs too!

New projects will feel difficult times until the market will not be regulated or the whole market starts to grow.

not mate. ICO hasn't completely died because there are still number of ICO that provide many benefits to investors, but for that we must be more careful before making an investment so as not to lose money because of scam

I hope this industry will survive. I believe that the year 2019 will be successful for cryptocurrency and for the ICO industry as a whole.

Average and weak ICO's are debt no doubt, but investors are still there and waiting for a decent ICO to invest in. Bittorrent was a great example, how you can still raise $7m+ in under 15 minutes.

if more ICOs are detrimental and scam then there is no harm in closing the ICO project, because since the booming cryptocurrency in 2017 has made many people use it for their personal benefit by cheating, so the ICO might die in the future.

In this market conditions ICOs suffer a lot  and it is very difficult for them to reach the soft cap. I still invest in ICO but I am much more cautious and invest only small funds as I do not want to take me down. Even good projects are too risky for me nowadays.
