As an investors and advertisers I have collected a lot of altcoins but I made sure that I have bags of the those coins who are in the top 10 in the coinmarketcap to make sure I made a profit when the price of this coins increase, which I'm sure will always happen.

Hi read through some good comments above. It does seem to make sense to hold onto the most popular one's and hope they go up in value over time. For me its all about spreading the risk, so the less well know coins do have a lot of potential but can be risky and as others have said they can become worthless fairly quickly. It's bitcoin, ethereum, zcash and litecoin for me at the moment.

Yeah, I can considered myself as one of the bag holders of different altcoins which I think potentials coins. So some of it like bitcoin I hold it for long term basis and some are for a short period of time.

Glad to know that you're bag holding coins too. When you're holding altcoins, they're usually for a short period of time, since most of them tend to decline in price as time goes by, except for some alts which increase in value over time due to their constant development and innovation like Ethereum.

Still, if you're considering a cryptocurrency for the long term, that would be Bitcoin itself since it's rare and has a deflationary model which makes it increase in value over time.

I'm not sure what alts are you into, but I would recommend that you hold into the most prominent ones, to secure your investments for the future. Just my thoughts. Grin

In crypto land, there are a variety of cryptocurrencies to choose from, since the inception of Bitcoin. Many of them provide innovative ways for us to transact in our daily lives.

Some have advanced features and higher transaction throughtput than Bitcoin, and others are just cloned from BTC's codebase.

While the majority of altcoins are pump and dump, there are very few of them which are worth holding.

That is to say, we sometimes end up holding the bag when an specific altcoin massively declines in price.

Nevertheless, I would like to know if you are a bagholder of altcoins, and which of them do you hold into your wallet?

As for me, I hold plenty of altcoins like Casinocoin, Virtacoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Dash, Ethereum, Ambercoin, LiteDoge, Tekcoin, Stratis, MonetaryUnit, Teslacoin, and many more (the list is extensive) Due to the many altcoins I hold for a pretty long time, I consider myself as a bagholder.

What about you?  Roll Eyes

Which coins do you hold.? I dont consider myself as a bagholder completely as I just have 2-3 coins that too in less amount. Have invested some in Litecoin and thought Byteball has a good future by seeing its developers, so that also and have some Monero other than Bitcoin ofcourse.

I hold curecoin, I don’t know why I bought it but I did and now I can’t get rid of it.
It has never reached the price I bought it, hopefully it will go higher soon, I need like at least 50% rise in price to make it worthwhile for keeping this long.

Sometimes when you invest in an altcoin, you don't get the results you've expected, thus leaving you holding the bag when it plummets in value. The major factor, would be if the altcoin's supply is high, eventually causing inflation over the currency, making it lose value over time.

Speaking of Curecoin, this altcoin is great because it supports a better cause by contributing towards the advancement of medicine, and research for curing diseases, all with your mining hashrate. But I believe, it is very undervalued now, considering what the same provides.

Nevertheless, whichever altcoin you plan to invest into, try to get out of it as soon as possible, because if you wait longer, you might lose more than what was initially invested, when prices start to fall. Just my thoughts.  Grin

I feel sorry for all bagholders in bitcointalk peace Cry
Why!! What's wrong in holding altcoins. If you see the price of bitcoin is super stable currently as most investors are driven towards altcoins as they have less market cap and pumping would be way easier. If you are a bag holder who knows maybe the next pump is the coin you are holding.
The problem with holding alts, is that most of them disappear and then you are forever holding it since no one will buy since they have no value, that is why it is dangerous to hold for a long time, there are very few alts worth holding in substantial amounts.

Just holding PIVX and some DASH at the moment.  Looking for the next big thing
PIVX already become the next big thing with his recent price and it's really high comparing with another coin. Pivx still have a lot of chance to growing a lot in the future.

for now i holding bitsend and nexus..
this coin very good future, because it has a great vision and mission

I haven't read or heard these coins though I'm planning to hold and buy another coin. Because right now I've got XMR, ETH and DASH which are popular coins. I want to try out those who are not familiar with many but does have a chance to pump, I don't want those pump and dump coins, I want that has a very well road map.
I think we all want the same but if you really want that then you really need to put into some work and see if any of the coins has known developers that have developed another coins successfully or if the project solves an issue that currently exists.
