Yes of course, one need to be selective in ICO that one need promote because there are many scam project all over in relation to crypto currency. When you participate in those ICO with SCAM intention like CLOUT project managed by Tokensuite team, you will end up not getting any token let a lone the token been listed on the exchange.
We have selective when we investment in ico or participate in bounty. Unfortunately, ICO in 2018 almost are badly (scam), but I suggest you If you want investement You should invest in many ico their have listed on exchange populer. Whether is it an investment or bounty job in ICO I am very selective because both will use my time and effort. In investment I prefer long term and in bounty it will require my effort and time. Time is very precious to me, I don't want to waste it .
ICO's nowadays can't be trusted anymore. Almost 80% of those ICO has no potential and that are also the reasons why the value of ethereum goes down so hard. To all investors please don't get scammed by those words, First you have to check the ICO's team members, their background and if they really exist because most of them now are using fake account that unnoticeable. Next the product and the partners of that project. If you see that it will have a potential and the ico team are genuine then make your move. Don't trust ico's rating. they can be paid.

All the websites just give the normal information about the ICO. We can't relay on them. Of course using them we can make our own list. Make your own ICO list and give every ICO some time and research about them. If you get positive response over everywhere then that can be good.
I also look for the bounty manager instead of looking at the campaigns. This way, I ensure that bounty manager has seen the bounty thoroughly and obviously would not pick a bounty which would be shitty.

Yeah, I am that guy which is deliberate in selection ICOs. I carefully read white papers, analyze team members and community behind project as well as product power
It's obvious to be selective while participating in ICO as investor or bounty hunter. I think the product or idea of that ICO, roadmap, website, partners, social media community all these things are important.
I'm very selective and much careful whenever it comes to ICO's since not all ICO's are worth to join and also there a lot of scam project on board so failure to do your checks properly may end you up falling as a victim.
Researching is how I try to not get involved with those kind of things because those coin scams cost money.

In any case, the choice of the project is the number one difficulty. even if you personally analyze all the information and check the complete documentation of a project, it’s still not up to 100% and guarantees its authenticity or success.
