Well blockchain interoperability is nothing new, it was introduced august 2014 by metcalf, sinechist and few others behind XC and blocknet. What now? U stole the concept and since u have no idea what a formal specification for the interchain bridge is, u start backing off and postpone stuff, developer previews, meetups and all as u dont have a working prototype. Its not urs, u stole it.

Hey Guys,

I just joined the ARK and have now a considerable amount of ARK at hand

Can someone ELI5 how do put my ARK to work?
I want to get them off the exchange and vote for some delegate, however have absolutely no clue how to do this and how to choose the delegate.

It would be very nice if you could point me to some sources that explain me the process or shortly explain it hereon.

Beste regards!

Hi Hebe123,

welcome to Ark. OK so first you'll need to install Ark Desktop client and get them off the exchange (withdrawal option).

1. https://github.com/ArkEcosystem/ark-desktop/releases download current version (1.1.0) for your OS (Linux,Mac or Win)
2. Follow this guide to generate yourself your private Ark wallet (since you'll be installing Ark Desktop Client you can use that part) : https://blog.ark.io/how-to-generate-your-own-ark-address-and-passphrase-5e4e1257ca5e - make sure you save that 12 word passphrase, that is your access to your wallet!
3. Withdraw from exchange (input the Ark address you generated) and wait for it to hit your wallet
4. Now you need to upvote a delegate of your choosing with instructions here : https://blog.ark.io/how-to-vote-or-un-vote-an-ark-delegate-and-how-does-it-all-work-819c5439da68

P.S. : You can use this pool calculator made by delegate 'dafty' = https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FGo3FkC3uSWXGHatPQyny2brMWjAIJsHFCR-Lhkl_m0/edit#gid=0  or read proposals here https://forum.ark.io/category/5/delegates

Hey BoldNinja (and others)!

I too have some coins on an exchange now, but I want to keep them safe for the long run as I am very interrested in how ARK is going to develop.... What would be the best way to keep my coins safe? I know I can get them off from the exchange and onto my desktop wallet, but what if my laptop craches/ get stolen? What do you guys suggest?

Cheers and thanks for answering this n00b question Smiley
save your passphrase, the blockchain is not stored on ark wallets, there is no syncing, fast and reliable, if you toss your laptop into a magnet factory or drop it in a volcano it wont matter as long as you wrote down or saved your passphrase you will have access to your coins anywhere

Hello,
please consider voting bioly for ARK active delegate - https://forum.ark.io/topic/164/bioly-delegate-70-share-ark-pool-experienced-delegate
My delegates works as 70%, I also provide services for community like: pools real time calculator, explorer, snapshot server
Thanks!
Thanks bioly, i 'm already in and i received my first payment yesterday.
But it's not clear, you pay every 3 days or on Sundays?
I see it states on the site "Payouts will be execute every 3 days" but i thought i saw in another paper that it is  every Sunday.

First I set this every sunday, like I do in Lisk. But than I changed this for every 3 days, I belive that 2xweek payouts are more flexible for my voters. Thanks for support

Its good Delegate I keep him and always regulary I take reward for forging and nice amount. Yes its every 3 days but it work without any issues or troubles.
Thx bioly Smiley

In Crypto We Trust

ARK Now accepted for the Best Cryptocurrency Poker Chips on this planet!

Get all 4 designs at
http://cryptochips.net  and   http://bitcoinpokerchips.com

Cool. Buying all 4 designs, just for sample purpose. Each design would represent $1, $5, $10 and $20.

dude, totally good idea!  I was thinking of getting custom ones made with denominations on it but for real, you got the right idea!  I got me like 4 of each and like 30 of the original ones with custom engraving on them.

Cool. I will getting more if the quality is like the real ones, you know, the weight and quality. I will using permanent marker or will use dremel drill for the denominations for now. I'm sure dremel drill is my best choose. Thanks for sharing.
