I've been looking through the threads about the Block Erupter Blade ASIC boards and can't seem to find a definite answer.

Do they require fans on both sides of the ASIC board, are there ASICs on both sides?  Is there a heatsink on both sides?

Jesus, whats with all the thread necros lately?

ASICs are located on one side of the board, heatsink is on the other side. May seem weird, but because of how the chip is packaged, it will dissipate more heat through the PCB and vias than through the plastic coating on the chip. Active cooling is mandatory, but only heatsink side.

Thanks for the info.  I thought that putting this question on the end of a related thread would have been OK.  My bad!  Next time I will consider start a new one.

what price to declare is tricky question. what is OK for one country can be overpay for another, and they cant declare to Chines custom different value for same kind of goods each time they ship. I think it is not a price what trigger custom attention, but description of good  "BE PCB board" maybe it suits friedcat for passing Chinese custom, but may sound puzzling for Wester customs. If description of goods will be for example as "Computer parts/components" that may help to pass custom with better success
I'd vote for 'computer parts', it worked for me many times.

My blade restarted after 3 days' continous mining.
I'm not sure if there are any problems with it. Hope it is ok.

don't use too low values - customs won't believe that will ask for a payment statement.
if they want a statement for the payment and you have paid in bitcoins only...wish you good luck explaining them your bitcoin payment. as statement not only paypal statements could be used. they just want a statement for a money transfer in FIAT (paypal, skrill, bank account,...).

he who has the gold makes the rules
Maybe the solution is the price of 1 USD + 49 BTC?
We have proof of payment for 1 USD and customs are happy Smiley
     Good idea. I would suggest 49.5 BTC + $ 39.

lol then they charge you 20% vat on that...  no...

try looking up sample invoices online, fill it out with $39 and the details of the company in china or whatever and send it to them
