Got my 9/30 batch order from MinerWarez today. They were basically new-in-box condition, the same as when I ordered from Canaan directly. All the cables included and they spun right up - either I got lucky, or the "used" condition miners were just to meet the initial rush.

That's good to hear! Does MinerWarez charge customs fees or taxes on the order?

In the USA  zero issues  maybe if you are in Washington State  there is sales tax.
Did you pay any?

I'm curious why you guys seem resigned to taking it. Isn't the proper thing to say, "give me my money back or I'm filing a dispute?"  At the least, you're due a credit for the difference between new and used price.
totally agree, they should explain and reward.

did anybody tried to use something like https://www.amazon.com/Antminer-120mm-Duct-Cooling-Shroud/dp/B01M0N30QC  on a Avalon741?

the fan is about 120mm around 5 inches.  it is designed to push air into an empty space not a 5 inch tube.  if it pushs into a tube the tube has to be bigger then the 120mm fan not equal or smaller.  if noise is not an issue put the front of the miner in an 8 or 10 inch flex duct  but the flex duct can only  be  about 12 feet or less before it has issues letting the hot air escape.

Stupid follow up question - the front is the part with the fan, right (basically, where the hot air comes out from)?

yes  and  to direct  heat out  of the room  that flex  duct from home depot  is good.

to truly help noise  my video idea will do it.  In my case  I don't care about the heat  as  my garage  is a constant 85-92f all year round from mining.

Does wonders for  stiff back neck etc.

I increase  the  power used in the winter and lower my heating bill.  My garage is around 10 amps  at 240 volts  in summer and 17-18 amps at 240 volts in winter.

I have 3 office spots with gpu rigs mining.  mostly 2 and 3 card rigs  to manage the noise.

I have the solar array with  11kwatts  and we will expand it  over the next year.

Anyone know  https://dgb256.online/  DGB pool which is based ckpool   I connected Avalons but hashrate is very low almost 40% loss.   it seems avalons have hard time to mine DGB lol))   anyone experienced same?
I'm impressed with that DGB pool as it runs better than the DGB P2Pool using Avalons and is quiet too low invalids.
My A721 has the diff set at 8192 and can't get any higher than 4TH.
So their is a struggle somewhere with the pool however numbers are better.

give this one a try too

Yeap.

I will try to mount a vertical duct, maybe I can help the blowout.

it will overheat  the miner.

I have been testing ideas since the s-5 came out as it was the first  of many loud miners.

1 fire blanket is     $10
the ply wood is      $30
the brackets are    $15
the sound material $61
the 2 by 12 by 8    $10

comes to 126 dollars

but  you will use only ½ the sound proof material

so under 100 for 3 units  .  and about 12 feet of sound material left over.

one of those very rare times I actually miss the states is the whole noise thing. Over here in asia doing something like that will definitely toast your miner due to the heat.

But we go super cheap electricity.........I guess we can't have it all afterall eh

Does anyone know the best way to get ahold of Caanan is? I'm wanting to buy a pallet of their miners but I noticed they don't have them in stock anymore on their website and was going to see when they planned on adding more again.

Steven Mosher who posts on here is a sales rep, I think his email is [email protected], I'm pretty sure he posted it on here a few weeks ago.
