Did you pay for your orders? I haven't heard a single report of Canaan taking money from customers and not delivering.
I lost money when buying BTC.
And on the difference in the course, I waited for them to provide the BTC number.
Me too. I converted my money into bitcoins just for the payment and hold them for whole month...

I've not had problems with their reseller communications. They usually respond with the day. I've only sent them two questions though using their sales@ address.

perfect - i didnt even know their sales @ email address, so i've just sent them something now!

Does anyone have a contact email address for minerwarez? i've gone through he contact us page, but no response at all.

They automatically used an incorrect paypal email address, so i've received no communication on shipping despite asking them to get in touch with the correct email/phone number.

my order number is #1028, and shipping to the uk, so i'm hoping will be here soon!

I still don't get part of the Steve's message. I have order from 13.08.2017 and I'm waiting for BTC address since 21.08.2017. My country(part of the EU countries) is not in the list of the supported countries of the distributor. And if Canaan no will no longer fulfill any "small" orders what happenes with guys like me in these EU countries? And what happenes with the orders in Canaan.io? Will they be automatically be canceled by Canaan?

I waited 3 weeks for them to process the promised order at https://canaan.io/
Therefore, I did not order it at https://minerwarez.com/
Now two sites are out of stock

It's not fair. I lost time and money.

I'm sorry to hear about the problems stateside for smaller miners. I feel your pain, but to be honest I think Canaan is probably doing everything they can to get the miners to paying customers. You gotta understand they aren't only dealing with you guys here on the forum, they are also dealing with a shitton of spam orders and "Bot" orders from people who never intend to pay them.

How do I know this? my Host country originates a shitton of "Bot" orders, they basically just spam the system without paying and they resell the machines at a higher price, once someone pays them, then they pay Canaan. I think its gotten so bad to the point that Canaan just said fuck it and are going to sell Bulks from now on because it isn't worth their effort to sort through 20k orders when half of them have no one returning emails or anything.

That is not an excuse..  They can spend a few bucks for a platform that is generating a BTC address valid 1 hour for each order. Add some capctha and say good bye to spam.
it's probably related to chinese gov new rules.

Still waiting for my warez order, it's on the way..

They can't accept BTC payments anymore since the Chinese government has banned exchanges. Theres no way to get RMB from BTC

So just an opinion here, I definitely agree they failed in rolling communication out to the home miner, at almost every turn. Honestly they shouldn't have even held a sale on August 31, but they must have thought they could get things done as they did in the past
Now quality of the order we have heard about aside, anyone who hasn't been able to order from minerwarez, didn't put in the leg work. We all saw the main site direct us there, the minerwarez site did give the option to receive an email update when it went live, and I received it. I had an order in on the 31st but no money changed hands and I felt fine ordering from the distributor and cancelling my Canaan order, and if you wanted a unit you could have done the same.

Bullshit.  We were expecting to be dealt with in order AND the Canaan rep said he wasn't certain if switching would provide delivery faster or slower.  That's exactly what he said in an email.

Sure you roll the dice and order from both, as I call that's pretty much what the Canaan rep said was the cause of the problem, duplicate orders.

I did post in this forum and sent an email asking for service in FIFO order, from either source, and got nowhere.

So at the same time I put in the leg work and got screwed by not only the Mfr. but also people like you.

No hard feelings, hopefully a poisonous bug doesn't crawl out of your miner.

Of course never any hard feelings when poisonous bugs are involved... lol.
The double orders referred to were placed within Canaan.io. They are entirely separate from the distributor, and if at any point Canaan.io sent me an address for payment i would have jumped on that as well. The other form of double order was requests for extra miners if you did receive communication from Canaan.io.
I saw this new distributor as a bulk order pallet receiver, the people that it is easier to deal with from canaan's main warehouse. So I ordered a few units, because I was still being strung along on my original order as well.
I'm just saying that, everyone here had access to the same info I did, from the time Steve put his e-mail in the forum, as well as access to the homepage. Sorry if you didn't get units, maybe you are lucky if my units look like the above pictures... Hope not. First thing I did after securing my units was to share the option to order from the distributor on a few threads here.

Seriously I did not mean to offend anyone but this industry is not focused on customer service and you should not expect them to take care of you, stay vigilant.

Where was the notice to go to Minerwarez?  I did not get it.  Once my order was in at Canaan I assumed I was waiting for an email with a bitcoin address. Only after not getting anything did I come back here (and that was after going to the support page on Canaan and seeing nothing).

This is on them, not me, nor the hundreds (I suspect) of others who are still not aware.

From the day I placed my order I checked in on it once a day and sent requests for an address, by doing this I saw when they posted about the distributor on the Canaan.io homepage. From there I went ahead with trying to get a miner in my hands asap, including in the meantime being a part of the group buy that never was.
Like I said they failed at commuion, but if you just sit back and wait on things to work out, you'll probably be disappointed.
The same goes with when I noticed others with tracking info, with orders placed after my own, I fired off emails u til I got my tracking info. It only took 2. I guess the point is follow up in things and don't expect any company to take care of you

These 6 were to be my first ASICs, guess I made some assumptions that won't happen again.  At least I have enough power supplies to last a while

In the crypto world, it pays to be the squeaky wheel i guess.

Actually, until about 2 hours ago when I started reading the latest posts, I was under the impression that Canaan was still going to fulfill the small orders, that we did not need to goto Warez.

Maybe I missed it?  Maybe its just late and I'm tired, but did Canaan explicitly state all direct orders below 60 units are dead?

Nice,  I just got this email, Avalon still spinelessly not even apologizing to us 'small 'fish.  No direction at all to those orders in the system.

Steve, if you had training in communication and customer service, you need to ask for your money back.

"Serve the small miner" my ass.  If you cared one tiny bit you would have supplied your 'distributor' with a list of confirmed orders from us 'small indivudual's and served us before opening the website.

From our good buddy Steve:

Due to the surge in BTC value and interest in Bitcoin Mining our best efforts to keep the Avalon 741 in stock fell short. Global sales outside China are growing more rapidly than we ever imagined, and we expect this trend to continue in the future.

As we approach the end of 2017 and ready ourselves for the next year, we have instituted a few changes in our sales process that we hope will lead to a less bumpy and more predictable supply for you.

We will continue to serve the small individual miner, but instead of servicing these customers from our webshop at www.canaan.io we are directing these customers to distributors. Our first distributor in the US is up and running at http://canaan-creative.acemlnc.com/lt.php?s=a418561c03e339409796c5ad26d5d47e&i=5A48A4A25 In the future we will add and annouce others.

Larger orders, 60 units and more, will still be handled by the store or by mailing me at [email protected] .

We are currently in the process of fulfilling the backlog of larger orders and so the webshop will show a "sold out" status for our bulk product. During Golden week ( Sept28th-Oct8 ) we will be tidying up the shop. I will be working over the holiday so please feel free to mail me if you have any questions and the shop will re open after Oct 8.

Steve

Just opened mine up- doesn't look beat up as NSX described but it was not in a bag.

Well to be fair i have 6, and 2 are ok.  Still no bag but look ok.  can see dust, but not as bad as others.  Its like a magic lottery i guess, lol.

What is the name of the company that sent you the junk?

Minerwarez?

yes, can only get from canaan in pallet now.
