At this point they should just promptly ship 1 Avalon per trade-in board without asking for any additional payment.

That's the only way the participants will get any kind of significant reward now in exchange for their early support.

The keyword is promptly.  In two months nobody will want them even as basement heaters.
Well, maybe for $80 or so, but anything above that is a waste of money as you can get other electric heaters at Walmart for similar price.

The 17+ BTC price was probably generated by their wonderful system.  I don't imagine Yifu to be such an ignorant prick to ask for that kind of money after 5 months delay.

If he did enter it manually and wants that kind of money, he might be a megalomaniac and should check himself to the closest mental walk-in clinic.

Yifu, be a man, admit you fucked up, return the boards/pay the cost of them or send free avalons.
Do it, do it now before you lose all credibility in the bitcoin community.

They are comedians.  They cannot be treated seriously.

Let see.  They cannot reply to emails, phone calls, they cannot add or multiply.
Yet they managed to create world's first ASIC???  This just does not make any sense.

I have serious doubts that Yifu and his crew was behind Avalon design.

What happened to 1 month ROI pricing?  Today that is $800/Avalon.

Yifu, just send me my Icarus boards back or refund me the cost of them.

We have sent you our FPGAs half a year ago.

wow 6 months already.. Sad

In April I sent Avalon $2000 in trade-in equipment.    6 months later... Yifu and Avalon have not honored trade-ins.   I will not be buying from Avalon again unless they come up with some sort of compensation.

I got a reply from Yifu to my PM.  He added my trade-ins to the store at BTC17.3035 per board/avalon.  It appears their system uses old quotes or something.  Anyway, I asked him to send me my Icarus boards back or refund me BTC15 for the cost of them.

Here is his PM and my request.

   Hi Yifu,

What happened to my trade-ins?  I have delivered my 5 Icarus boards to you guys on April 23rd.

Have not heard from you since then.  Have you really scammed me?

I still cannot believe why it takes so long for you to reply to my emails or tickets.
First ticket created on June 12th, ticket # 961 (on your new system), all details are there.

seems you never got the email to pay, resending.

Hi Yifu,

It seems your mail regarding trade-ins payment is 5 months late.  I cannot pay over BTC17 for each Avalon.
I thought they were suppose to be batch 2 pricing less $300 for Icarus board.  Or $1199 in fiat when difficulty was at 5M.  Now difficulty is at 150M.

Please send my Icarus boards+power supplies back or refund me BTC15 for the Icarus boards.  My address is 1CorsCrBEcbncfnR7BVKadUZbHP7xNZCjJ.

Thanks,
Peter

Another month passes, still no response from Yifu and still no scammer tag for the guy who stole our FPGAs.

I think if everyone who got fucked by this a-hole posted Trust Feedback on his profile, maybe moderators could award a scammer tag to him.  He deserves it.

People, just have the balls to speak out:

@team avalon

Can I trade-in my unshipped trad-in-unit for a gen2 avalon  Grin

+1

Look how blackarrow is handling trade-ins.  Gift certificate for a NEW (not shipped) product.

Avalon completely mishandled trade-ins.  They should have provided us with gift certificates for batch#1 avalons in September/October.
Period.  Not this "I don't care, let's do trade-ins later, if at all".

I have an address I'm supposed to send BTC to, but I will not send anything because I no longer trust them. IMHO they stole my Icarus from me and owe me 3 BTC in mining profits on each of them.

I'm glad the rest of you got your units finally, though.

+1

They must return what they took from us. I'll not be buying anything from them, ever.

Let see how they handle the trade-ins.  If they want to save their reputation (or whatever is left out of it), they should return our property.

BTC6 per board (cost of the board+lost mining profits).

Hmm yeah  Undecided what is that like $300 per board or something. Even at this stage if you have several trade in units it would still be better to get avalon miners instead of the btc or $ equivalent of the trade-in credit. Now on the other hand if you already paid them you would be better off getting your btc refund back and invest in more power efficient hardware (ie bitfury, knc, etc).

They are $300 each.  Add $200 and get a bitfury H-card.  25GH/s stock @~25W, can be overclocked to 30GH/s.

I have 5 avalon trade-ins, I could get 3 bitfury h-cards for 75GH/s.  No need to pull 650W to get 66GH/s.

Seriously, that $1600 "deal" that Yifu announced on this thread is not a "deal" anymore.

For $1500 you can get 75GH/s that consumes 75W not 650W+ like avalons.

So I say, Yifu, please refund us the $300 for each trade-in as you have not delivered on your promises.

Guys at this rate you'd be lucky to get your money back in btc terms. Most of you sadly will never reach break-even Sad What a disaster.

I rather take my "trade-in credit" in cash or coins.

I'd say ~$300-400. Not sure about the ones we had due to their modifications, however.

WHERE IS YOUR FUCKING PROBLEM ?

They like to piss us off... didn't you get this by now ?

Yifu filled his pockets, chinese market is big enough for new products and the rest of the world get the leftovers from the old tech.

WTF!

I was really patient. I've been waiting for half a year
Now they have them in stock @avalon-asics.com, auction 500 units of @tradehill

And no single word here Angry

[EDIT]
And then I have to read such bullshit:
Quote
Avalon have learned from previous mistakes and will not longer be participating in any pre-order type of transactions, all products on sale are already sitting in a bonded warehouse ready to ship within 48 hours of ordering.

Maybe we can count the number of fpga boards they stole from us and then try to get some form of and settlement and closure.
