Can anyone tell me how to code the commands into the FMS tools diagnose area to setup a command like this. It doesn't seem to work if I put that into the run field.

--avalon-auto --avalon-freq 256-365 --avalon-cutoff 80 --avalon-temp 60

Hi guys,

It looks like my PSU is dead, as when I turn on the machine (1246 85T) I just hear a clicking sound.

I disassembled the PSU but I found nothing burned, the fuse is okay.

Do you have any repairing suggestions?

I hope you have 230VAC mains supply for it, do you?

yeah if you run at 208-215 volts it is harder on the psu.

worse yet is a power dip or brownout to 185-195 volts as the psu will try to run and eventually hurt itself.

I see hight temperature ( >100) in some chips and high voltage

The wrong values in the PS come just before a reboot. Maybe because of the high temperature of some chips, when the system stops

Looking at the difference between logs. Looks like Power supply issue.

Unstable:
PS[0 1214 2 0 0 1308]

Stable:
PS[0 1217 1311 243 3190 1308]

Item 3: the voltage supplied
to the hash board is normally
between 1200 and 1400 (unit:
10mV).

The log description can be found here:

Yes maybe a problem with sensor temp ?

Since few days, I have difficulties with my Avalon1246 83T : Hashrate drops, and it reboots often. Problems occur in normal or turbo mode
Previously, It worked without problem.

Here are log and picture.

I could catch a log with SYSTEMSTATU[Work: Out Over Hot, Hash Board: 3 ] error ; but I always see 26° / 66° in the dashboard, not high
https://pastebin.com/uGH0PH9w

It's not an internet provider problem, because just next to it in the same room an other 1246 85T runs perfectly.

Note that fans run at 6500 RPM (whereas on other 1246 85T runs at 3500. Maybe it's ok)

Here a view of minerstat where ou can see it works during hours (days) and then it has problems

Any idea of the problem ?

Dashboard and log when everything is ok

Hello

I have one avalon 1246 83T, running with the 4 fans at 6500 rpm and 65°C; And just next, one avalon 1246-N-85T, running with the 4 fans at 3500 rpm and 75°C

Is it a normal behavior ?
Is it possible to manage the speed and the temperature target ?

Thanks

I have 83T as well. Fan speed seems high. You can compare with mine below.

So i have an old Avalon1 110ghz Asic miner that i disassembled a while ago, does anyone here have the old assembly manual on how to hook all of that back up?  i just need to figure out how to plug it all back in. i can probably figure out the firmware installation from there. any help would be appreciated thanks !

https://imgur.com/a/O9F9d7P this is a picture of what i have plugged in so far, i just cant remember where that jumper goes on to it, it will fit on the sides of the cards and into the power board so i am unsure as to where that goes in. also does the PI go into the usb of the controller module?

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Avalon1 i already checked out this place and thats where i learned about this manual that no longer seems to exist

sorry for bumping a  really old thread but this will be a big help .

I would like to solo mine (not BTC) via network with Avalon 6.  I have tried google for a few days and all I could come up was the IP address of the Avalon 6 and the possibility of using Multiminer.  I can't get the Avalon to be detected by Multiminer after a many hours...

If anyone can point me to a way to solo mine using windows and Avalon 6 over LAN that would be awesome.  I have had no issues with solo mining with CPU and GPU but ASIC is a different beast to me...

Thanks for your time!

Sure  but you really want  a rasp pi  not windows.

I solo mined PPC with the avalon 6

http://mining.securepayment.cc/pools/ppcoin/stats.php?address=PV68JwCpM5CGGf9rirFS7weYWXnMeiyCaC&submit=Lookup+Stats

I hit a few blocks.

Mind you this is not pure solo mining.

The avalon 6 will only mine sha 256   so BTC and PPC will work

FYI, securepayment.cc hasn't updated their PPC pool to the new fork so any hashing you do there is wasted hash. I was trying to hash there with my Compac stick miner.

I'll dig up the thread with my question, and the answer I received.

It would be REALLY attractive to know what Pi software is expected to be teamed up with which MM firmware. They obviously have their own dates and own features/fixes. When got my used A6, I had no idea which Pi software to use,
and one I got past the bad cable, no idea if my combination was "good" or "bad". I have been quite reluctant to tinker with the MM firmware for fear of bricking the A6. I don't worry about the Pi, since i's always possible to get back to a working state.

Any guidance on this on the website would be swell.

https://downloads.openwrt.org/chaos_calmer/15.05/brcm2708/bcm2708/ should work with the Rasp berry PI b

https://downloads.openwrt.org/chaos_calmer/15.05/brcm2708/bcm2709/ should work with the Raspberry PI 2b

pi3 i haven't find one yet but really haven't looked or tried ....

https://canaan.io/downloads/software/avalon6/openwrt/20160530/brcm2708/

The MM for A6 should work with any Raspberry like the USB uart dongle they have for the a6  works with both the A4/4.1 and 6, they sent me a replacement uart usb dongle for my 4.1 and it's version two that comes with the A6 and work well on  my a 4.1 . but the A4 and A4.1 does have a different  MM and it's listed as such on there FTP.

A 4/.4.1 is listed like this https://canaan.io/downloads/software/avalon4/ for MM

 A6

https://canaan.io/en/support/

They just did a firmware release and made it more clear in the above link.

like i said one MM for both rasp berry pi for the A6 the A4 had two different versions of the miner that hashed different.Smiley.
