I think the least Avalon could do at this juncture, considering the millions and millions of dollars they have made from the community, would be to issue a newsletter update and explain why people who ordered on Feb 2nd are being furloughed and people who ordered on Feb 18th are receiving units.

I met Yifu at Bitcoin 2013 and he seems like a nice guy, but it really feels like he couldn't care about his customers at this point... which is fine, he just needs to ship the units or give all the BTC back. Given the tremendous price increase since February, the 150+ btc on the line for some like myself represents a huge cash parachute that could be paying off the mortgage, etc.

Yifu if you read this just know I think you have done by and large superbly up to this point with Batch 1, but there are many like myself who would just really appreciate the common courtesy of having a simple newsletter update re the status of Batch 2. I think that's reasonable.

My .02 btc

I thought that the last update from Avalon was at the end of April/begining of May.  Hopefully we'll receive another monthly update this week.

Would be nice, but only the MailChimp gods can know at this point...

Why all so slow, I was guessing I will receive my Avalon Batch #3 at 25M difficulty... but now my guess looks quite optimist.  Undecided
You should pray the difficulty will not jump to 100M when you received your batch#3 machine.

Exactly my thought. This is a man that makes other people rich. Appreciate that and let us give him the time to make it happen.
Actually, batch 2 and 3 roi will be negative. I fail to see how they make other people rich. Themselves, maybe, with our money.

It's impossible for batch 2 to have a negative roi!
Batch 2 was paid 75 btc. Care to share your genius?

I paid 52 btc for my batch 2.  $1500 USD to BTC.  I don't believe batch 2's roi will be negative.

+1
No matter whether the ROI is negative or positive. Can you accept a time sensitive product you bought delay again and again and again?

I'd rather have my Avalon shipped sooner than have someone answering all of the support tickets.  It sucks that the majority of support tickets are from people that constantly spam Avalon are preventing others from receiving the important support that they need, but there really is no easy way to fix this problem.
I would just like to point you out that you have no evidence at all of what you are sayng, you only have yu fi's word.
I have experience managing hundreds of tickets per day and i can assure you that a) it's not a problem b) you take as much as 2/3 seconds to detect "spammy" requests, or requests you would not lose time replying.

The point is that they don't care, as simple as that.

Anyway, how many units are they shipping? 3 per day? Just to keep the forum full of happy posts? Or what? Also, and this is a tricky question, where do these units comes from, since that their smt line is obliuvsly not online?

(tadaaaa)

and you have no evidence to counter.  thanks for contributing.

This is getting a little bit depressing.

I have placed orders on avalon, bfl, and bitfury asic.
But i believed in avalon the most.

I hope they will atleast tell us something, in a few das time.

This is what i was hoping for, a while ago..
I guess this, was just my dreams

Ok guys, just relax.
Yifu stated, that the trade-ins will be shipped before the 2-nd batch.

So heres the calculations:

1) 2 weeks is given to trade-in customers, so that people can send those fpga back.

2) Somewhere around 26april-5may, trade-in avalons will be shipped.

3) Somewhere around 5may-15may, second batch will be fully shipped.

4) 20may-1june, 3rd batch will be shipped.

it makes sense.

We are all in the same boat, so just relax, if youre gonna ask for 100 times, when will we receive our avalons, you wont receve them faster, you will just waste your nerves.
-------------------------

And remember that bfl customers waited almost 1 year, and still didnt received anything.

How can I contact Avalon? I'm moving in a few weeks and I am not sure my ordered batch3 miner will get here in time.

You can open a ticket at

http://support.avalon-asic.com/support/login

and in the subject make clear this is an urgent batch #3 issue, you are moving (not some other lame excuse)

Perhaps make clear you have not sold your avalon to another party and that this is his new address as those kinds of requests are not honoured. Perhaps you can document the fact that you are moving?

Good luck... not many have had a reply on their ticket though.

But there is still enough time for them to catch up with the Batch #3 tickets... Still shipping Batch #2

thank you
