many media have highlighted the ballon d'Or winner voting this year and made speculation behind.  i also didn't think that Lewandowski didn't win the Ballon Dior this year, because Messi has been decided as the winner so we can only accept that decision, maybe next year will be a win for Lewandowski.
Yes, Messi has won this year 2021 Ballon d'or which makes it the seventh one won by him and the best player of all time for now, I also which Lewandowski to be the winner but also pleased with Messi been the winner. The winner was not choosen, the winner was voted for, this makes the whole thing not to be biased as some people are thinking.

I also do think so. Actually we have known how lewandowski really plays very greatly, able to give big things to the club, and also gets so much attention.
Many people may be also quite bored about the domination of Messi in this very precious reward.
But once more, Messy exactly still bring very positive and also grrat influence to certain teams. He still becomes favorite in many cases.and how he gives ibfluence in Barcelona and also in his new team are still considered better than others.

Many people were upset about Lewandowski not getting it, which is understandable because dude had one of the best seasons ever and he broke Bundesliga goal scoring in a single season record as well so it is really understandable how he was seen as the winner by so many people. However I have to say, look at Messi and look at Barcelona right now.

As soon as Messi left, Barcelona became a team that crumbled under pressure and started to be a mid table team, sure they could still recover but they are so much worse right now compared to when he played. Messi kept that team in championship contention up until very end weeks of the season and we get to see how incredible that was after he left. Lewandowski is great and all, but I doubt Bayern would become a horrible team if he leaves. That was the difference in voting I believe and that is why Messi won.

I don't understand why many people think Lewandowski deserved this year's Ballon d'Or.

Everyone know that Lewandowski was the clear winner last year if there was Ballon d'or last year so most people thought that he should have gotten his hand on it this year because of last year's performance as well. Even Messi acknowledged him, didnt you watch Messi's speech? Messi clearly admitted that Lewandowski deserved it last year

Well some people are just bored to see either Messi or Ronaldo win the Ballon d'or every year so yeah I dont really blame when people are expecting different name this time

And Ronaldo is the other perpetual winner... but he hasn't won since 2017 I think, and was only 6th this year, and is in a Man U team that is imploding.

This is the first time since 2011 that he wasnt in top three

The entire scenario and build up of things before this ballon d'or  was very unlike the rest, i mean since the start of this award, we have heard rumours of the results, that is the winner before the actual day. I saw constantly on the internet, leaked reports that Messi has won it and i think the leak was a method of observing the public's reaction and preparing our minds for the news so it doesn't come as a surprise or shock that he is winning it for the 7th time.

Robert Lewandowski is/was certainly disappointed but this will make him even stronger now and for next year he is one of the top favorites for this great trophy.

He has to win it some time, surely. It's unlikely Messi will win it again next year, this year was all about the Copa America... he's not looking like the world's best player at PSG at the moment. And Ronaldo is the other perpetual winner... but he hasn't won since 2017 I think, and was only 6th this year, and is in a Man U team that is imploding.

Next time for Lewandowski?

Messi did not have a very good performance compared to previous years. But he was still one of the best players of this year.
Copa America was a very important cup for Argentina, thanks to Messi they managed to win 28 years later. I think he could get the award just for that Smiley
I'm sorry about Lewandowski too, he had a great year. He scored very good goals in the last two years, but it was not enough to win the award

Every since Messi plays the FIFA world cup junior category and they won, I have been a Leonel Messi fan from them, I have watched him as much as I could playing and winning individual award, never for once have I doubted Messi's ability and in all his individual winnings he had by far deserved it, up until now, honestly I don't now how Leonel Messi should win the Ballon d'or. Yes he was in the argentina team that one the copa america, but in all Copa america Messi had played in his Glory that is the one Messi wasn't the backbone of the team, it was a general team play to the last kick of that tournament, I really think lewandowski should have won this year's Ballon d'or.

and here again are the respective points that the candidates (top 10) received from the 180 journalists:

1st. 613 points - Lionel Messi (psg/argentina)
~
9th. 58 points - Kylian Mbappe (psg/france)

Messi is 10 times cooler than Mbappe. Seems legit  Grin
I would like to see a diagram of the distribution of their votes when voting on the questions "2x2 =?" and "Is the Earth flat"? I think the results would be no less comical.
In general, this presentation was quite enchanting - in a few hours I saw on Twitter so many mocking memes from "grateful" football fans that I had not seen in a whole year.

Another shameful Ballon d'Or that left a dirty stain on the reputation of the organizers and Messi  Undecided
However, it is high time to get used to the fact that in any award where the winner is determined not in a sports fair competition, but there are political and commercial interests, there will be dirt and unfair results. The Ballon d'Or now makes even less sense than the Oscars, the meaning of which has been perverted by the demands of leftists and racists.

Many football fans are disappointed with the current results of the Ballon D'or (except Messi fans maybe), because he did not make much of a contribution in Europe last season with barcelona. Barcelona failed in La Liga and only finished in 3rd place, in the UCL losing to PSG in the round of 16. Indeed, the most impressive thing about Messi is the trophy with Argentina, trophy that has been won by Messi for the first time with national team, and may be the only one trophy for him with Argentina.

Well, Vote has been closed, and Congratulations for Messi
Few statistics will always be blowing our mind, despite having impressive outcome Lewandowski lost the Ballon D'or again. Anyway, Lewandowski won the best striker award. Truly heart breaking seeing the Ballon D'or passing Robert Lewandowski every year. Better luck next time. Perhaps it's the greatest error of his life is playing in Messi time.

Even Messi said that this year Lewandoski deserved to have that title but apparently Messi still doesn't know who gives you this prize, they are journalists from France Football and since Messi is playing for Paris SG they thought to give the prize to Messi.

This is how the world works in general and I am a bit sorry for Lewandoski but I am fan of none of the contenders for this title as I am a fan of another team which none of these players play there, however objectively Lewandoski was to get the prize and this is not just my personal opinion but from what I have seen from social media a lot of other people think like this too.

I don't understand why many people think Lewandowski deserved this year's Ballon d'Or. There is no doubt that he has played well all season. But in the overall performance of Messi and Lewandowski, Messi is definitely ahead. This is clearly seen. Lewandowski is worthy only if we think about the goal. But in the case of Ballon d'Or many more things are evaluated. Messi has 16 assists, Lewandowski has 8. Messi is also ahead in overall performance.

Ah I see, so because Messi as a midfielder plays more passes and has prepared more chances, he deserves to win the award? That's absolute nonsense. If you argue like that, a goalkeeper or defender could never win the Ballon d'or.

This vote has once again shown that it's not about crowning the best player of the year. Rather, Messi should be rewarded for winning the Copa America, the first time he has won a major title with the national team. The rest of the year was mixed by his standards. No big shine and no big titles with the club. If Messi is given the title even in such a weak year, why does the event even exist? Absolutely undeserved. But whatever, the Messi fanboys can celebrate again.

This is what I do. I drink and I know things.
Messi deserved the award, congratulations. He had a great year, won Copa America with Argentina. Lewa also congratulated him, big sportsmanship.
Robert Lewandowski won striker of the year, so that's fair enough. I wish they gave 2020 award to him as well instead of cancel it.

It kinda feels like Lewandowski can do what he wants and he still won't get the ballon d'or, i feel really sad for him. It somehow seems that the two biggest names of football (Messi and Ronaldo) always have an advantage over the other players. The election is done by journalists from all over the world and i would guess that journalists from small african or asian countries would always tend to give their vote for Ronaldo or Messi because they are just more popular in their countries and players like Lewandowski are probably still pretty unknown there. Even Messi himself said that he thinks that Lewandowski would have deserved it. Fairplay of him.

If it was a fair play, then he should hand it over to him! Grin
To be honest, this was probably the last "Ballon D' Or" that Messi will get but still it's pretty "unfair" for Lewandowski. In any case, the best part for me from the awarding ceremony, was the reaction of Mbappe when he listen to his position... 😂😂😂

The award should be for Lewandowski because he is the only consistent player this year. Also from the achievements he got as the best FIFA player.
I admit that Messi's performance has not been good since joining PSG. Despite the time at Barcelona did not manage to win LaLiga, the individual and team achievements in the International League were quite good, such as winning the Copa America.
