But, as far as I know, we will still be able to talk about the great articles provided by Unijoin, no ?  Grin
I am sure that we won't be banned if we talk about interesting articles!

I think we will be allowed to do that...

I was thinking that what happened in the forum would be enough to write another chapter of the book, even if it were a corollary, being a gloomy episode in the history of Bitcoin. That the forum Satoshi founded bans mixer advertising is no small matter.

there's a lot of work to be done and these copy cats hopefully don't multiply anymore.

Although the recent announcement does not look good at all for mixers advertised on the forum, I believe that we can still give a hand of help to UniJoin until the end of the year, in trying to get rid of its copycats. We should bear in mind that, by doing so, we are helping users, in fact, not just the company. This is because we can help others from not being scammed by phisihing websites.
Yeah, it was shocking and we've got one month on it but as long as we're not yet on the deadline we can still do what we've used to do to determine and try to eliminate the copy cats.

This news is indeed shocking since no one expect that this incident will happen to soon but for betterment of forum I guess this is more better rather than we see the forum got seize by government. Now its up to the users if they continue to participate until the deadline since no one stopping anyone to promote this service. As long as there are funds intended for the campaign then I guess its better to still earn since once deadline comes all of this will stop.

For sure there's some effect it could bring for this implementation but lets just hope for the best here. This forum is more important than  paid promotions made by mixers.

I know that the news came as a shock for some which really depended on the money paid by mixers signature campaigns but this should not stop us from trying to protect other people by reporting fraudulent, imposter websites.
Yup and I agree and this will also carry on to other websites other than unijoin that we like to support. It's gonna be a practice for the most of us in here but let's still see how things are going to work until the end of the year.

I think we will be allowed to do that, but it is possible to have this thread moved to Archival board. At least, this is what happened with Sinbad topic...

It's different because the one that has been reported and taken down while this triple A is still there. The double A is no longer existing.
While this triple A is still existing but it only has a few subscribers. And yes, they're also pretending to be unijoin.

Okay, so in this case these are the only remaining items to report:

Or so I hope...
Yeah, I just hope that they are the remaining ones. Crossing fingers. With all stuff that we've been seeing around, there's a lot of work to be done and these copy cats hopefully don't multiply anymore.

Hey @UniJoin Are there any plans to provide APIs to developers or any plans to release Electrum plugin?
Yes, it is on our roadmap to offer an API for UniJoin, so that shops and services can implement our service into their site.

Also, we want to create a system, which will be used to pay for a service who are requesting an exact amount.

Any update about this? I'll be looking forward to trying it. What are the current future development plans?
I saw that Electrum CoinJoin plugin has been released Therefore, the APIs option will have additional demand.

Please also report the channel although it has lesser subs still, let's do it.
Code:
@unijoin_AAA

Is this channel (with triple A in the end) the same with the one containing only double A in the end and mentioned by paid2 here? -- and in this case it means that either you or paid2 made a small typo? Or are there 2 channels, one with triple A and one with double A and both pretending they are UniJoin?

I thought at first that they're not pretending but going through the contents on that channel, they've got videos of the fake unijoin that has a channel and was also taken down already.

I am not sure if it would be necessary to open a new topic for such discussion, as it would be the third topic already about UniJoin: 1 for signature campaign, 1 is current one and another one would be the new started topic... Perhaps it would be too much?

I agree with Gazeta on this point.

I think it's good to have all this information centralised in one discussion. This way, users researching a potential scam will come straight to the official topic, which I think is more relevant than dividing the information between different topics.

It's true that there's been a lot of activity recently in relation to impersonators, but that's tending to calm down, and they seem to have changed their target, so it shouldn't dominate the topic any more.

Indirectly, it could also serve as a "useful bump" (I mean not just a "bump" message), which I think is positive.

To everyone who has written here in the last few days about the fight against scammers, I would suggest that you open a separate topic for that. I am of the opinion that this leads this thread in the wrong direction because there is more talk about scams than Unijoin's service.

Also, here's their new fake website: secureblend(dot)xyz

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see any similarity between the above website and UniJoin's official website... Why did you mention it?

Damn, I was wrong. I've checked the video that's posted on that channel and it had directed to the ".plus" that has already been taken down. From now one, everything that copies the name of unijoin are gonna be suspicious on me, I've let my guard down on that one.

I understand.

Please also report the channel although it has lesser subs still, let's do it.

We can also report the videos to YouTube, for them to be taken down although there’s a less chance of it happening.

I reported all 4 videos using the template from above:

Quote
This group is a scam, impersonating [banned mixer]

The real UniJoin website is: https://[banned mixer]/
The contact page (with their official networks at the bottom of the page) is: https://[banned mixer]/en/contact
The official UniJoin Telegram channel is: t.me/unijoin

Thank you for taking the time to delete this fraudulent group.

For reporting I clicked on "Report" button, then I selected "Spam or misleading", then I selected "Scams or fraud" and I also checked the checkbox saying "This applies to links within the video description". It only took 2 minutes to report all 4 videos.

card design is attractive, but my personal problem is privacy issue. It is difficult to ship these cards without revealing your identity, in addition to the high shipping cost to my country.
If this is allowed, I will choose the number 1, provided that if I win, I will choose someone (from UniJoin list) who deserves this card.

You should probably apply in the giveaway thread, and I don't see any reason to be rejected, even if you know in advance that you will be giving a gift to someone in the event that your choice is a winner.

Also, here's their new fake website: secureblend(dot)xyz

There is nothing on this domain. It is not worth the space.

Clearly, such warnings are a good thing, but they should not be the dominant topic in the ANN thread.

This is a big relief for Unijoin knowing that one of scammers has packed his baggages and ran away.

A big relief indeed. They such much invested their time and resources to scam people through fake Unijoin site because if you look at YouTube you’ll see that they had several channels with thousands of followers create videos for them.

Just imagine the thousands of people that would have been scammed if these sites were allowed to stay without any actions. We can also report the videos to YouTube, for them to be taken down although there’s a less chance of it happening.

Great news! One more imposter is gone!

The scammers are not entirely gone. I think our efforts in taking down the scam websites and telegram group gave them a big scare. When they saw that their telegram (with 8.6k subscribers) had been taken down, they knew the channel (with 12.6k subscribers) was next. So they quickly rebranded and renamed to SecureBlend and also changed the invite links.

Yep.  Wink

Maybe it would help even more if some reports would also be sent by email, at [email protected], not just to https://t.me/notoscam.
Yeah, I guess so. I'd do that as well for the rest that are still clickable and are on existence. This might alert them for double reports, I've just checked the one that I've reported on the notoscam account and I'm not so sure if they've handled it already or did nothing at all so yeah, email.

I am not sure I understand here... You mean that those groups have in common with UniJoin the "UniJoin_+" part but they are not trying to impersonate UniJoin?

We apparently need some more reports on : https://t.me/UniJoin_A
I was about to report this group but it seems that I can't find it anymore

This one is still existing and I'm done. I have reported it already to https://t.me/notoscam

some "unijoin_+ names" have came out but I checked them briefly and seems not into the actual service since unijoin seems a common name for those groups.

Let's turn our attention away from phishing scammers, I will make a small digression here by reminding all eligible users about this free raffle. 1 slot left for the Custom UniJoin Card. I am almost surprised that Unijoin's promoters are not interested in the possibility of receiving such a gift.

Well, we've talked about in the thread and many of us don't want to be part of it because of the privacy issue. It is something similar to what is being discussed in the Bitcoin Community Awards, where there is a widely shared view in wanting the award in Bitcoin because of privacy and there were several cases last year that turned down the physical awards because of that.

I wouldn't mind entering the raffle if I could somehow donate the prize if I am a winner.
