Let's turn our attention away from phishing scammers, I will make a small digression here by reminding all eligible users about this free raffle. 1 slot left for the Custom UniJoin Card. I am almost surprised that Unijoin's promoters are not interested in the possibility of receiving such a gift.

[FREE RAFFLE] - Custom UniJoin Card, (S/N 6). Only by invitation!

You raised the thread very timely. Yes, we have 1 slot left!

Guys good news! Telegram is handling our reports  Cool

Hooray for that too! And thank you all which made those reports!

We apparently need some more reports on : https://t.me/UniJoin_A + https://t.me/+w2Dzbpg_dCMxMmYx

This is the oldest fake group still existing and it seems that it managed to resist so far... Let's hope that Telegram will take soon into account all the reports made for this group as well, as I am more than sure that they received a dozen reports already...

UniJoin, this is a heads-up regarding Romanian translation of your topic: I am happy to announce you that the pictograms from OP are now localized in Romanian!

Please take a look and see if they look good Smiley

Sorry to ask, is there like a format you use when reporting this sites to their registrar that makes them attend to your report fast? I couldn’t help but wonder if that’s the reason your report result always comes out superb.

I don't have any particular method, I contact the Abuse / Risk departments of the companies that host their sites.
I give them a full summary including the date of registration of their domain name, screenshots, and links to the original site specifying the date of registration of the original domain name too. That way they are able to verify "who was the first registered" and can't pretend they don't have enough information to take the site down. Mentioning the fact that I'm European and stating that the abusive website doesn't meet my GDPR requirements can also be useful, if they're reluctant to admit that it's a phishing site at the beginning...

Seems like you got a change of username, congratulations on that.

Thank you  Smiley

Dude, who are you? I don’t remember accepting a user with that name into a campaign.

Please don't tell me  Grin

Hahaha!  Grin

Imposteeeeer! IMPOSTER, I say! icopress, please make sure you tag the imposter and also raise a flag against him!
Oh gawd, why is Lauda not here anymore?  Cheesy

*starts sweating and panicking as he reads the name LaudaGrin

Lol!

iwantmysecondlambopaidwithbtctoo, I don't know how you do it, but you seem to be a master at taking down sites! Even more efficient than a hacker which turns a website down with a DDoS attack Once again, chapeau for such realization!

Guys, if you have sMerits left, do not hesitate to show some appreciation for this guy's efforts and, more important, results! He took down 3 websites already!

At same time, I also congratulate you for managing to change you name. I guess I'll be melancholic for your old name and I'll still use various forms of it when talking to / about you  Roll Eyes

Thank you for your kind words once again Gazeta Smiley

Haha yes I think this is one of the rare cases where doing it via the legal and classic way is effective! It's not every day I can say that!

I must admit I'm going to miss your puns too Sad
So I'm glad to read that you're going to carry on hehe ; I think the new nickname leaves an infinite field of possibilities in terms of puns....  Grin

Great job iwantmyhomepaidwithbtc2, your effort in taking down these scam websites is really much appreciated.

...and now they have hosted a different domain to continue their scam.
OMG... What's up with these scammers!

I still hope that these scammers will be tired and will end to change of business.

I just took a look at the telegram channel and I don’t think are ready to give up yet; three sites have successfully been taken down and now they have hosted a different domain to continue their scam.

Code:
New scam site: https://www.unijoin.store/

registrar:  operations, UAB

Thank you very much Cantsay !

I've reported it and sent an email, hopefully it will be down in the next 48 hours.

I still hope that these scammers will be tired and will end to change of business.

About Telegram reporting, we shouldn't forget to mention the official group in our message (https://t.me/unijoin), as Unijoin just published the following message:

Oh gawd, I can not believe this!
I just reported the website to Google but I believe we need once more iwantmyhomepaidwithbtc2 experience here.

Meanwhile, everybody should report this website to Google and also the 2 remaining Telegram groups.

@iwantmyhomepaidwithbtc you’re indeed superb. After the results I got from my last report I thought domain registrar won’t take actions on a domain that they’re hosting but you just proved that wrong.

Fake channel:
Code:
https://t.me/UniJoin_be

I thought telegram was strict when it comes to users experience and the complaints that’s been raised by users, but for some reason they have refused to take down this channel despite the amount of report that has been sent to them.

Guys, I believe iwantmyhomepaidwithbtc2 needs some more merits for his incredible efforts and - more important - for his incredible results! iwantmyhomepaidwithbtc2 alone managed to shut down 2 websites pretending they are they real UniJoin! So if you have sMerits left do not hesitate to merit iwantmyhomepaidwithbtc2!

Having all imposter websites taken down, I believe we can focus more now on our old "friends":

Fake channel:
Code:

Fake group:

Fake telegram channel:

Fake telegram group:
Code:
https://t.me/+w2Dzbpg_dCMxMmYx

Please send the reports to [email protected] and /or to https://t.me/notoscam.

Who would think that taking down 3 websites will take less than taking down 2 Telegram groups...?

Another excellent job from you iwantmyhomepaidwithbtc2. You really are the guy and was good on this one, thanks to your contributions and you did truly came back with a good news.  Smiley

@Unijoin @icopress, it could be great to have written somewhere on the site, or in the OP or in a message signed by [banned mixer], that Unijoin will never ask its users to install any app.
I agree, aside from that. A general warning that customers must be careful of fake phishing unijoin websites and always check if they're on the right domain.

Small update guys:

I am still working on taking down the impostor Unijoin.fun

Their Abuse Team has just opened a case, and we are currently in communication. They've asked me for further proofs and information, and I've just provided them with an exhaustive summary, so I think it should be a matter of time before Unijoin.fun finally goes down!

I hope to come back to you soon with some good news!  Smiley

CEXs are a disease, a plague, and many suffered because of them. For those not aware yet, check out Mt. Gox's case -- 600.000 BTC lost in 2014, the trial is not over even now and the customers are still not reimbursed.

I couldn't agree more, there are so many reasons to avoid CEXs. (We also could mention your topic on this matter.)

Whether it's for the users directly, their private data, their money ; or simply for Bitcoin itself (example with Binance which held nearly 1M BTC, or FTX last year etc...) : CEXs never act in our best interests.

We really need to make people understand that easy-to-access, simple-to-use P2P solutions do exist. Even on the bitcointalk, I'm amazed at the number of screenshots of proofs of payment showing Binance accounts! Even from members who are well educated on the subject!

Sure, there are many unfortunate cases connected with CEXs, however, users always have to remember, that this is only their responsibility to take care of their coins. And the way you choose to store them is also on you only. Storing such amount on any exchange, even DEX is of a high risk. That is why we all should protect ourselves and not to wait for someone else to do so.

Thank you for sharing this, iwantmyhomepaidwithbtc2!

Indeed, this is another must read article, as it explains very well the differences between CEXs and DEXs, together with explaining the major risks presented by CEXs. I hope that many users will read this essay and, in case they are users of CEXs, perhaps they'll change their vision now.

Differences between CEXs and DEXs

Quote
We present here to the readers a thorough material regarding centralized and decentralized exchanges. There are many bitcoiners which have no idea to what risks they put themselves into when using a CEX. There are also some which know there are some risks, without knowing very well which are exactly these risks, but they still use CEXs although they have a glimpse that it’s risky. Today’s article contains first part from the third chapter of Satoshi Revolution, a must read book authored by Wendy McElroy.
