I need to buy a new windows laptop.

What spec would be best to mine BBR in the background? Intel or AMD? NVidia or Radeon?

Laptop will be (primarily) for the wife to do microsoft office-y stuff... I'm assuming I can CPU and GPU mine BBR without too much risk of the laptop overheating? Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks!

Probably something with an i7 and an nvidia 680m card would be best/most power efficient combo. Also probably a bit overkill for MS Office...

Thanks - a bit expensive for what I need, might shoot for a cheaper alternative.

Another crazy thought here that might benefit both bbr and lou.  Instead of pow, consider burning bbr. Same as counterparty, except burning bbr instead of btc.
Anyway, just a thought.

Good idea. It is possible in CryptoNote and how to prove the burning bbr coin, with stealth addresses?

Hey guys, I implemented a purchase system for aliases at cncoin.farm.

Cool service.) I've just bought an alias,  thank you.)

May be it would be better to place alias price at the first request page? Now you don't know the price until you get the first email.

Is it a first service accepting bbr?

Hey guys, I implemented a purchase system for aliases at cncoin.farm.

Process goes like this:
Make request, check email. Validate through link in email, make payment, and server will create alias at next block.

If you don't validate within 40 minutes or pay within 40 minutes of that, the request disappears and you will have to request again. If you put your email in wrong, the request will disappear after 40 minutes and you can try again. It's like a game! Smiley

Price might be too high at the moment, but with bbr value down, thought it sounded about right. Let me know what you think.

what's the best pool of BBR ?

If you're using AMD cards then SOLO Mining is best.  Give it a day and you'll start finding blocks.  How many depends on how many cards you're using.  Difficulty and hashrate is low right now but I doubt it will stay that way for long.  Now is a good time to mine BBR.

Here are some good instructions for solo mining using "MBK's" openCL miner for BBR

Hi Guys
Just a couple of thoughts, CZ announcing a new project is pretty cool. People that can make things happen have that choice, and I know most if not all would agree that CZ has the ability and integrity to do it.

However the more interesting question for me at least, is what name will the new coin have? After the amount that were submitted here a while ago. Grin

On a more serious note, I would be happy to send a miner CZs way if we get a heads up here about the new project before its release. I think it would be a great chance to get in on the ground floor with a trusted DEV

It would be a first for me at least.

For Lui project i'm responsibe for research and development team.

Speaking of mining, remember to help spread the hashrate. Solo mining if you have enough hash and know how to set it up, or support smaller pools like bbr.poolto.be (where I mine), bbr.mbkpool.info, boolberry.extremepool.org, etc.

I don't understand why people are so worried about getting small amounts of BBR continuously rather than larger amounts less often.  You can still solo mine and find blocks.  It will take longer but you get the entire block when you find it.  Mining on a pool that solves the most blocks doesn't equal more BBR for individual miners and it isn't good for the network.  The biggest pool also has a 3% fee so you lose that right off the top.

Maybe clintar just has like 900 Mh/s running on his own pool... Shocked

Maybe but it would be more profitable to mine something else than BBR with that much HR
