Most of the ICOs made last year were scam. Only the airdrops would be unfair to call the fraudster. Ico owners are doing the fraud job a bit more professional.

Every time fraudulent schemes become more and more thoughtful and are designed for inattention, so you should always seriously analyze what you are doing.

That's right.  With such projects, you need to be as cautious as possible, because their coins may then simply be unclaimed!

Any kind of forks are evil, so how do you get coins, which have a price (some more and some less) but are formed literally out of thin air. And then we wonder why the market has been falling all of 2018.

Guys, it have come to my notice that some criminal minded guys are busy creating tokens and using it to defraud people, example of those tokens are *ripple classic, stellar classic, eos classic*, becareful guys and don't fall victim to their sweet mouth, they are busy listing them  in almost exchanges and using that to brainwash guy.... Becareful and guard ur money like ur whole life depends on it
Now all projects are strange, because they do not carry anything new. Mainly focused to promote your product, which is interesting for 2% of traders from strength. So of course that they can not show anything encouraging and die in the process, but if it turns out to hold, then the token hangs in the tail of the list.

This is very good advice, some people do not make any research before investing in a token and it's really bad because they lose out in the long run. It is always good to do you diligence before investing anywhere.

Thank you for making us cautious. In fact, cryptocurrency is being misused only to collect money and run away. We have heard that many new ICOs are fake and they are designed to cheat potential investors and bounty hunters. I am one example of such cases. I have been cheated by many fake ICOs. So it is high time to do something to control it. Maybe it will be strict regulations that can control such scams.

Many forks, too, are actually made for fraud. They first go up and then fall sharply, but for coins that create a quantitative volume of the market, it’s not worth talking at all.

Yeah, these forkers were the smart guys in 2017. Forked Bitcoin, got a lot of people to download their fake wallets and made double profit: the fork coins itself and then the actual Bitcoin.

Worse, people even bought these fork coins thinking they were buying the real thing.

But the forks still haven't stopped even affected Monero of all coins! These are all nothing but money making for devs. Pity that newbies can't tell very easily.

As i see nowadays there are lot of coins also created with the name looks similar with bitcoin ,so we have to becareful and we need to know their coin before investing on it. If possible take alook at the partner behind the project and also the roadmap. If the coin have a bounty program, try to take alook at the bounty manager also, because a good bounty manager usually rejected a suspecious project.
What you mean by "look" ? The graphic designing or concepts ? I believe these are NOT enough things for making people to be attracted by being similar to bitcoin or with any imitations. Honestly, I'm not getting your point up to the level you meant. Looking into the team and roadmap are always important before adopting any new project and ICO. I believe many people are already doing this and only beginners of this crypto space might get themselves as a victim of those scammy projects.

Participating in to bounty program should be done after lots of crosschecking and verification. I'm not sure how many people are valuing their hard work that they are going to put for a campaign still I do see many scam projects are finding their success only due to the people who are all ignoring those crosschecking.

I'm always not preferring to contribute in ICOs for many reasons but the prime one must be I should not support scammy people. Instead of looking for making big money out of ICo, I am more careful on not supporting scammers, it is kind of being more conscious against scammers.

If that’s coming to your notice now then you’re discovering it late lol, cause a lot of us here have known about this before now. Lots of coins in the market don’t make it, majority of them are owned by scammers. There are lots of coins being released in the market daily, what makes you think they will really last? They are just scam. So if you know nothing bout them, don’t go for it (even the ones you know can turn out to be a scam).

Thank you for opening our eyes to this and I hope some of us here will listen to this kind advice and revelation and be careful on how we invest into cryptocurrencies market especially the new projects. I could still remember that many warnings have been posted here concerning some projects but people still go ahead and invest in them and at the end lost their investments.
Why bitcoin fall down last year was because of the fake icos that scam many people and in turn investors lost interest and pull out their fund from cryptocurrencies market.

Investing in a strange project as you said it feels like gambling. If you lucky a strange project that you have invested sometimes can become a nice buck for you (invest with the minimum amount of money then sell it when the developer pumps the price at the first day of listed on exchanges)...
At least you need to be brave enough before investing to prevent rekt in somedays...

Unfortunately the market is overwhelmed with such projects and it is pretty sad that in 2019 we still need to be aware of every ICO. The only possible option is to check projects by our own to protect ourselves from scam.

Thank you for reminding, but you don't need to worry about that.
everyone will certainly investigate in advance about the project they will invest in, and it will not be that easy they will invest their money.

Unfortunately, the cryptocurrency market is full of greedy scammers. We have to watch out for offers that seem too good. Scammers attract new users mainly by promising easy and quick earnings. If something seems to be too good, it's almost for sure a scam!

Agree that with you. Scammers operate anywhere, anytime in the world even in real life. So let's be careful to keep your money. I have seen a lot of people those who lost their money by scammer.

We must warn those beginners in cryto on projects like this. They really are the ones targeted easily because they do not know what coins are really committed to develop their project from the ones who only scams.
