The recent happenings of  hack are becoming rampant that exchanges are no longer safe.

But there are not many exchanges that were hacked, I say this because if we make an annual comparison of how many exchanges are stolen, we will see that the exchange number is few, now if we compare how many people are stolen funds in the exchange, we will see that the number of people is lots. This to say the following:

In the case of a hack, the exchange returns money, so at least the person knows that he will have his money

In case the exchange itself steals money, the person will never recover their money.

In short: worry that the exchange will not steal your money

waiting for the bull run.

everybody expects this

The recent happenings of  hack are becoming rampant that exchanges are no longer safe. If the exchanges can get hacked this means you and me stand no chance at all so in view of this if you can do get cold wallet/ Web wallet to keep ur funds safe,  never leave ur long term bags on any exchange.

Do not visit random links and also stay away from airdrops requiring your private keys or Passphrase.

Do not store your private key or passphrase online.

It's called a private key or passphrase because only you should have it and not even the developers of the app has access to it and that is why if you lose your keys you have equally lost your walllet.

Stay positive and waiting for the bull run.
Stay safe everyone!

Could you be more details about what kind of hack happened recently ? I think if you store your coins in big exchanges, it will be secure because they hold many peoples coins, not just you. But the cold wallet is the best wallet for security indeed, because you are the only one who can use it to move your balance from that wallet.

Cryptocurrency is a very valuable asset and we must be careful in maintaining it. We must be able to maintain the private key and put it in the safest place so it won't be stolen.

I know a friend who stored his private key in a googe drive map. So it was online, and without a password you could view it on his pc. Keeping your private key safe is very important. Store it somewhere where it is protected by a password/2fa.

After the hacker stole $ 500 from me, I switched to Linux and did not install any programs. I access the browser through ledger. Thus, the hacker will not be able to access the funds, because the transaction must be confirmed only by simultaneously pressing two buttons on the device case.

Well this should be basic for any crypto investor. Just expect anything that can be hacked will be hacked. That way you always have to prepare for the worse. Quite the hassle if you think about it but if we're talking about your money, then it's always better to be safe than sorry.

The most overlooked aspect of investing would be its security. It's easy for people to invest into something thinking that they can profit off of it while taking security for granted. In the case of bitcoins and cryptocurrencies, everybody is prone to hacks. Heck, not even exchanges with top-of-the-line security measures are safe from hacking escapades made by malicious people on the web. One good thing I learned on keeping a passphrase is to write it down on post it notes individually in their own respective orders. In that way, no one would bat an eye on what does these random words meant especially if you yourself know how to use them when the time comes. Also, never, ever save a copy of any of your passphrase in any of your machines, especially if they contain sensitive information pertaining to your data and your bank, exchanges etc. Some malicious applications can detect these and snoop all the data they want resulting into hacks.

And lastly, stay vigilant, trust no one especially your info and always keep backups in a separate offline machine.
