On my opinion it is all individual. It depends of the project you monotor and analyzed their price chart on coinmarketcap for example. Reading whitepapper is also useful. For me bear market is the right signal. It is right deciosion as long as you have profit.
I think I have not sold enough of their altcoins because it's hard to predict when the price of Altcoins actually increases
because bitcoin is just a little bit rising and rising in large quantities.

The best time to sell all the coins is only when you are in profit. In crypto market you do not loss till you panic and sell off out of emotion. Hold your coin and wait for price reversal to give the needed profit. Doing anything other than this will lead to massive loss.
Normally I convert 50% of my altcoin as soon as I reach the 20% profit target and keep the remaining for a set of higher targets. Till now, this strategy has worked fine for me with various smaller alts.
Every online trader buy and sell altcoin. But first you have to consider what is the best position of this traders. If you think that it is the best time to sell ,you may sell. Otherwise, you may gain and lose. Altcoin is such a coin what goes higher than high. So you have to mention first.

Coins are not always above the ico price. Some tokens can not have this and usually investors have to sell them below the ICOs price. Well, we can buy tokens with the lower price than we sell. I think the best time is when you are already happy with the profits. If I think the ICO project looks great and has future, I will HODL for it minus the seed money. I will use the seed money to invest on other ICOs with great potential, that is after doing my own research.
You must calculate your capital on that coin first, for example now the price has given you profit 30 % from your capital, i think that is good time to sell your coins. If you want more profit, you may wait for few days again. But, remember that the price can be bubbled anytime, try to satisfy with less of profit and not to be greedy.
Your Idea is not bad. I likes your Idea. Even I also Observed that the altcoins price are increasing last moments of every year. So, sometimes anybody can follow this instruction and can be profitable.
For me, I mostly sell altcoins after a good news has been announced for example partnership, exchange listing, product branding, product release e.t.c. Most times when there is an announcement of this kind, the price of the alt tend to increase and thats when i sell.
I think the best time to sell alternativecoin is when the time comes that it have a high value or amount in the market
because there’s a assurance that you will be profitable in the right time comes.
The best time or not depends on your situation guy. Because you yourself know whether in your current position, you need to sell or not. If you don’t need money immediately, I advise you not to sell when the market has drop. Because obviously when the market is going to decrease, and then you choose that time to sell, definitely you will get less benefit or maybe you will be in loss. The way you can reach fruits from benefit depends on your skill, experience. In short, always before making up a decision, you’d better to take a research and analyse deeply. because there’s a assurance that you will be profitable in the right time comes.

Usually I am taking on account every project that was issuing the token, so if I consider that project as trustworthy and prospective I can hold their tokens for some longer time

You should immediately sell altcoin, you can see that bitcoin and altcoin prices are falling sharply today and there is no sign of recovery. I think that altcoin prices will probably continue to fall sharply in the near future, when bitcoin rebound will absorb capital from altcoin, which will cause altocin prices to fall even more. So I think you should not keep altcoin at this point.

In the future of course, the altcoins are still not profitable. It is really better if we will improve our patience in order to hold our coins in a long time. The altcoins will become more valuable and profitable in the following years.

At this point I think you should sell altcoin immediately, can see that bitcoin and altcoin prices are dropping sharply today and no signs of recovery. I think that the price of altcoin will probably continue to fall sharply in the near future, when bitcoin rebounds will absorb the capital from altcoin, which will cause the price of altocin to drop even more.
