Is it common for non-Cinese people to use the services of the big Chinese exchanges? Zero fees are very appealing but I'm unsure about how open those exchanges are to "westerners".

Depending on the location the trading preference can be made. Personally feel localbitcoins good to make trading in the Asian location. Kraken can be considered for the western countries.

I'm very happy with Localbitcoins but that also depends on the country you are from. Bitstamp is also very good, would recommend.
I would like recommend you to try with Kraken and Bitstamp Very less exchange charge among other trading sites... I have experience in localbitcoins as well. its secured traders are charging high fees there.

Bitfinex or bitstamp for bitcoins and big amounts.
Little amounts or altcoins i am with btc38 and poloniex. Those chinese exchanges have a lot of volume which makes it easy to sell.

I would suggest you to prefer local bitcoins.com to sell your bitcoin to make money. It's more convenient tha  other exchange sites.
Else buy bitcoin debit card reduce the exchange costs.

Both options are with very high fees.
Localbitcoins upto 10%.
Creditcard/Debitcards upto 5%.

If you trade at kraken of bitfinex is just 0.2%. That's an easy choice then...
Is it kraken and Bitfinex giving their services to worldwide.
If there please let me know bro.
I use to trade through local traders and in online I use to go with LBC.

Hey there guys i really like the 25€ free euro from Plus500. you can trade it up an cash it out without any Problems.
I think you need to to about 20 trades or something but this is no problem.

cheers
I thought they don't support Bitcoin and they aren't crypto related.

i used to trade on BTC-e for bitcoin trading but after reading about Kraken i liked the features it offers and i am currently thinking about switching my trading to their website.

BTC-e seems fishy to me. I would not trust them with even 0.01 BTC. They are russian which makes it hard to get your money back it they do a runner.
Therefore i use Kraken most of the time.

Hey people,

I'm looking for a plateform to trade on btc. I currently hold some coins in exchange, but that's rather different cause you can only buy or sell btc here. There is no possibility of leverage for example.

I don't really know a lot about the different possible website, but I know that lot of trading plateform have... Dubious method or security. So I'd like to have the opinion of some of view before trying it.

Thanks in advance!

for fiat market Im use Bit-X and local exchange, for altcoin Im use poloniex, bittrex, c-cex and yobit
but if you want to use leverage system you can use Huobi, this chinese market give feature make a Loan, the leverage 1:3.

Depending on what are you willing to trade there are a few good exchanges:
For USD\BTC - Bitstamp and Huobi with the most high volume.
For EUR\BTC - Kraken
For Altcoins\BTC - Poloniex and Bittrex

EUR Kraken yes. For USD i would recommend bitfinex. And altcoins just go with bittrex/poloniex. Most of the scammy exchanges deal big time with altcoins.
If you trust them they can run away.
