Depending on what are you willing to trade there are a few good exchanges:
For USD\BTC - Bitstamp and Huobi with the most high volume.
For EUR\BTC - Kraken
For Altcoins\BTC - Poloniex and Bittrex

Bit-x is best place to trade bitcoins. It is trusted legit and very fast. Earlier I have used CEX and I rarely use exmo for bitcoin trading it is also a good place.

Is Bit-x similar to Gemini, which is insured? Your deposit is protected by the Federal Insurance Policy or something like FDIC?

Okay I just started to test Bitfinex.

I gotta say the site is cool, I like how things work and the margin trading is great.
But it's hard to understand everything! Why am I earning USD when I'm betting on BTC price with BTC equity? Why is the value of my equity decreasing while I do nothing? What are exactly the fees I pay? etc etc...

But interface is great so I'll keep working with it!
great choice, bitfinex have a good margin, and also the price is not bad on that exchange, its normal if your equity decreasing, its may used for some fee on your betting on BTC price.

The fees are 0.2% per trade if I remember correctly, on top of that youll have to pay interest on the BTC or USD you loaned while margin trading.

Each an every trading websites fee is very low only but If you check the price in Google and trading site there will be more 10% of your bitcoin will go from you.
Better I suggest you to buy a bitcoin debit card, only forex charge will there,  no any hidden charges or nothing.

Thank you for clarifying this sir, I also having problem with those trading and losing some of my coins maybe with this reply from you many of us will be enlighten, thank you so much mate.

Kraken,Bitstamp, Coinbase, Localbitcoins all are good for BTC trading.
Poloniex is very good for ALT trading.

Poloniex is the best for Altcoin trading. Its volumes of Ethereum, Monero and some other coins are very large.

For my self i like to trade  my own coin in kraken. Because kraken has any advantage such as there is leverage in there and minimum scammers. Maybe still many advantages about kraken .. Grin

Kraken is good for beginner to expert level of bitcoin user and you can localbitcoins.com also, there you find easily the right traders. Scammers also less in number. Escrow will secure your fund dude.

I have only ever purchased bitcoins from finding a person off my Mycelium wallet.
Great honest seller and have used his service multiple times. Plus I can just use my country's currency.

Have never tried this option and was weary of using it. Might have to give it a shot in the future.

The list of trading sites is very helpful, have only dabbled at altcoin trading to learn how to do this.
Found I was always buying coins on the way down from a pump and dump but its not bad for learning how to trade cheap.
Doesnt Btc-e have a lot of bots or is that even a big issue?

I mostly trade at poloniex. Majority of my trading coins are on that site. But I'm also trying out on Yobit since I'm on their signature campaign. I would've recommend yobit but the trading volume is too low for any serious trader.

You can choice poloniex or bittrex. Cheesy

Poloniex is good for new people on trading simple to use.

But Bittrex have very good design interface.

The Poloniex has the trading fee of 0.2% while bittrex has trading fee of 0.25%. Is it worth the 0.05% to trade at bittrex?
