A bad moment to wildcard - my previous team would have netted me 20 points more.
Still - I like it way more how my team is set up for the period to come.

I accept that I made a mistake with Trippier though. I had a spot for him in the budget but went with another defender that will be on the bench.
We're entering the festive period, so I hope that decent players on the bench will be netting me some points.

The pain and suffering from watching Haaland against spurs was extreme for not having him in my team, actually its every GW. I need to find a way to accommodate him back in my squad, I can't handle going through these emotions week after week.

Same pain in the ass here, i have the game in the back and everytime i heard Miguel Simon singing a goal i hope he was not Haaland please..... Luckily no goals for him, but i made a bad move this round, i sit in the bench Son thinking this Totenham with a few key players out cant do so much on City game, but you see......

What a round for Argentinian players in Premier League but not so much on Fantasy one hahaha, scored McAllister, Bounanotte, Enzo Fernandez x2, Giovani Lo Celso and Alvarez give and assist.

The time has come for the other organizer of this pool to cash in on free bet. Congratulations icopress, 82 points in this round were really impressive. Did not think anybody still got Trent in our league. Seems like he was worth the wait  Cool

Spending more than £5.0m on a defender or goalkeeper who is not Trippier, the team's defender, midfielder, winger and set piece taker, is a waste of money.

It is easier said now that Liverpool are struggling to keep a clean sheet, and Darwin Nunez is an absolute waste crosses and square plays, because I’m very sure TAA is often as much a set-piece taker as Trippier is, except from the opposing flank where Robertson comes in, and I would say TAA is a better attacking option than Trippier, of cause Trippier have the most points and will always rack in more bonus points due to the metrics used by FPL to awards Bonus points.

while the team is attacking, James is the only player who is close to Trippier; while the team is attacking, these guys become the team's automatic right winger. TAA uses his shooting and crossing skills to get attacking returns at the least expected chances. TAA is a part of this group, but he is not better. IMO

Of course you jumped the gun. You have Raya as first keeper and Arsenal has better fixtures in next few so Dubravka will not play for you. There is still no official news for Pope and while it seems serious why not wait a week or two and be sure? Furthermore what happens is some important player for you gets injured today? Let's say haaland if you have him out for 2 weeks? You could have used that free transfer to temporally remove him from squad while now it costs -4 and you have just a better bench option that will not play anyway Smiley

I always kinda feel 'well, this is something that makes sense and a lot of people will do, I'll just be late and he'll be more expensive in 3 days'.
That's how I missed Neto, Palmer, Son, a few others that I can't recall as well.

My reasoning is maybe to get rid of Raya and use that spare 1 mil on someone better - that's why I went for Dubravka while he's still on 3,9.

A really bad round again, Nunez personally cost me 20+ points with his shitty finishing. Such a frustrating player.

I’m sure there is some weirdo TAA owners with either captaincy or triple captain chip played, FPL update will sure do it’s thing in a few hours.

I simply signed Kelleher to free up funds for other midfield choices; I didn't sign him to keep a clean sheet.

I don't know the answer to this question yet. Our agreement meant that the name of the thread would include the name of their brand during the season. I won't rename the thread... but I figure that if one of the moderators does, I'll probably have to make an adjustment for the number of rounds in which UniJoin advertising appeared.

Adjustment means lesser sponsorship deal cause 100% the name is going off January 1st. Sad times

@Icopress what would happen to our sponsorship and naming right with UniJoin after Dec 31st?

Diaby, Cash, Palmer benched, Watkins and Bowen start....

A lot of people's bench points to be blocked this week.

FPL official site update is so shitty when comes to players update, especially with injuries and knocks, I could sworn Watkins wouldn’t play or start the game today but I left him on the starting line up and Hojlund as first choice substitution and that seems to be paying off already.

Following those FPL injury signs are waste of time. Follow the actual club news and club training pictures too.

Had Nunez for only 69mins this season and my BP is already high. The most inconsistent and wasteful player of all time.

I went for Kelleher and I already had Tsimikas, I must say the first day in the office for the former is not so bad after all, he’s only conceded 3 goals against Fulham.

I can’t wait to see what the future holds for him 🌝🌝

EDIT:

Got fooled by the injury News, I'm already looking for a way to fix him in.
I would wait a bit now, fixtures are still not great, I actually liked this United one. Then they lost Pope yesterday, he is a big part of their defense and we have yet to see how it will look without him.

You can't chase past points, they are gone for good. It is actually much more probable that player who gets a lot of points blanks in the week after, and that is something new fantasy players have trouble wrapping their mind about. Just look at Son, one of the most sold players, blanked three games in a row, he can't play without Maddison.... You guys heard all that, right? If somebody has seen his last game against Aston Villa no way he would sell him. He got 3 goals disallowed for small offside, a great assist ruined and one big chance missed. On another day that is 20+ points for him. City away is hardest fixture in the league but I feel he could do good even here.

I'm weary of Newcastle United players getting injured and then keep winning games. I sold Trippier due to injury news, and now I've lost a potential 15 points from two GW.

As for Son, I've already sold him to get Saka; he's been dipping since Maddison's injury until the last match, but Tottenham's fixtures appear tough going forward, and I can't risk it. If Maddison returns, I could easily swap him in my lineup.

Remember our discussion about Trippier? This is why I am keeping him in my squad, he just needs to do something and 3 bonus points are more or less guaranteed. No other defender in the game guarantees 10+ point returns. Not every game of course but here and there is more than enough for me in the season where no defense can keep a clean sheet. Bad fixtures or not, Newcastle almost always produces at home.

I have to check how bonus points are accumulated. Seems insignificant at first when selecting players, but if somebody constantly gets them than that's a possible 50 points you're initially not counting on.
I just assumed that whoever scores gets 3 bonus points, whoever assists gets 2, etc. Not that simple, but also not much more complicated.

Trofo will again tell me 'you jumped the gun', but I already used my transfer and went with Dubravka as my 2nd GK.

Romero's suspension is ending this week, right? TM says he can play against WH.
Bonus points are very good for players that create a lot, every chance created results in some and Trippier is on every corner and free kick plus he is quite attacking from game. Missed chances are negative points, getting caught in offside and getting cards same. Other than that, clean sheet, assists and goals bring a lot of points. That makes players Like Trippier magnet for bonus while Salah and Nunez are usually terrible.

Very happy with my team's performance so far. Of course, not having Saka stings, since everyone else has him, but I have enough money to buy him and will probably do that within the next two GWs.

Gordon decision is already paying off for me.

I had Saka earlier and his results are certainly there but I sold him for Salah — who in my opinion gives more returns on average compared to Saka. I miss him on my team and he's my countryman but as someone at the bottom of the league, all points matter

As for Gordon, I haven't regretted my decision to get him earlier on this season. He's not talked about much but gives some nice returns even in high profile games:
- Man Utd
- Chelsea
- Arsenal
- Liverpool

Congrats on that Ben Mee pick. Looks like he had a blast this gw but in the long run, I'm not sure because his returns prior to gw14 haven't been that great.

Yeah, expecting him to get relevant returns in prior weeks would have been ask for too much of him to be honest, in 5 of his team’s last 6 matches they’ve played against West Ham, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United and Liverpool, with such fixture even any Man City defender might now have yielded a better return, and he was out injured in the first 3 of the last 6 matches mentioned, so I believe he’s a great set of fixture right ahead that could be making him worth the while and hassle.

Alright. He's not so interesting to me but Goodluck!

My biggest flex for the game week is that I sold Veltman for Ben Mee, while taking a point hit, and it’s already paid off, because even with an injury plagued squad, Veltman can’t get a slot in the starting line up. Although too bad that Watkins like wouldn’t be playing and my first substitute can only come off the bench.

Gordons turning to be one of my best buys for a while now. For a midfielder who initially started off at 5.5 and now 6.0. Low acquisition and with above average returns — already ahead of Rashford, Maddison and Martineli and it's surprising no one's talking about him. Delivered yesterday in another high profile fixture.
