Very happy with my team's performance so far. Of course, not having Saka stings, since everyone else has him, but I have enough money to buy him and will probably do that within the next two GWs.

Gordon decision is already paying off for me.

Remember our discussion about Trippier? This is why I am keeping him in my squad, he just needs to do something and 3 bonus points are more or less guaranteed. No other defender in the game guarantees 10+ point returns. Not every game of course but here and there is more than enough for me in the season where no defense can keep a clean sheet. Bad fixtures or not, Newcastle almost always produces at home.

Agreed. Everything on the right flank is designed around him, he makes dangerous crosses into the box, takes corners, and direct free kicks.

Got fooled by the injury News, I'm already looking for a way to fix him in.

I was thinking that Gabriel and Martinelli would make Arsenal gain much better points while Arsenal were playing against Wolves home today. Cunha's amazing goal caused me to lose clean sheet points. I think that Arsenal needed to win the match in which they played very well.

I was happy that Arsenal will get a clean sheet at home when I saw how they played for most part pf the game and since the game was played at the emirates stadium, I picked Raya over Areola. I was expecting a clean sheet and 3 points. That late goal from Cunha took away the bonus points but it's still all good because it's really difficult to get a clean sheet in the EPL this season.

Well, this is looking like a mid-gw for me but I have my fingers crossed for captain Salah tomorrow.

My biggest flex for the game week is that I sold Veltman for Ben Mee, while taking a point hit, and it’s already paid off, because even with an injury plagued squad, Veltman can’t get a slot in the starting line up. Although too bad that Watkins like wouldn’t be playing and my first substitute can only come off the bench.

Cunha's amazing goal caused me to lose clean sheet points.
Would have been another good week for Saliba, but he picked up a yellow card which is not normal for him, and then Zichenko's mistake of overthinking and looking for who to pass to when he should have just cleared the ball. Cunha took the shot well, Raya had no chance.

I think that Arsenal needed to win the match in which they played very well.
We started well, but later relaxed. Two goals is not always enough to win games, I could hear my heartbeat as soon as Wolves equalized because I know they are a pest to big teams.

My speculations will leave me with Isak.

I had to go an other way, with Nunez
but overall, used a wild card to renew my squad, will be seen how good that would be

joined Haaland and Salah, with all 8-9 million midfielders being mediocre, maybe these two with other lower end midfielders and attackers can be better combo
can't be worse than I already am
I had to invoke my wild card in GW12 and I haven’t gotten the best out of my revamp of a team just yet. Still hoping for the best in that but then,
Having at least either Haaland or Salah has always proved useful for any team and with both of them, you could as well see them complement every other aspect to your point gains but, at least, you shouldn’t have a week mid field if you’ve sacrificed your defense to get your frontlines in best shape.

I am still hoping to break in the top 10 before the year runs out and I must say, Trofo is making it really challenging still. One glance at his team and I feel his got the GW14 points and bonus offer in the bag.  Grin

When is the cut off time for fantasy though?

I tried to make transfer like 5 minutes ago but it wont let me then after refreshing the site, it seems my new transfer will be active for the GW15 instead of the current GW. Dang, I thought the cut off time would be until the first game is played. I saved 2 free transfer for GW14 but instead the transfer was for GW15 which means I lost 1 extra free transfer that should be on GW15
It says so every week on top of the page for reference and it is always 90 minutes before the start of first game in that round. If you tried just before posting here, that means you were about an hour late for the deadline.

Isak and Nunez both great picks and I wanted to take one of them for Alvarez but decided to not spend additional -4 transfers.

Nothing serious with Watkins but Nunez sounds like a better deal with easy fixtures honestly.
I had to choose between Isak and Nunez, I had to go with Nunez. I hope he doesn't just give me shots on targets.
I think the choice here should be more focused on the opposing teams and that be Fulham and Manchester United. Either of them haven’t been in there best but, I would trust a Manchester defense, the man behind the goal in Onana over what Fulham has got. Else, I wouldn’t match Nunez in quality as against Isak. Isak has been great at goal conversions more than we see with Nunez in the EPL.

If I were you, I would be a little reckless on this one and still have to go with Isak over Nunez. I’m not expecting a goalless draw or a game where Newcastle United don’t get to score a goal and no better man to net that goal than Isak and Wilson could only come from the bench with just minutes left in the clock. For Liverpool, M. Salah, Diego Jota and probably Luiz Daiz is there to pick up the task. With Jota out, Liverpool play host, Nunez might seem like a choice but even at that…

My speculations will leave me with Isak.

One point nobody mentioned. Whole Liverpool defense will be worse with Alisson missing in it. We are talking about maybe the best GK in the world here. Seriously doubt Kelleher will manage to fill that gap but fixtures look good and he could be golden for next few game weeks. Only problem you will be left without GK at the same time AFCON starts or even sooner and you will need transfers to remove Salah/Mbuemo and who know who else you got.

I forgot to mention that I would rather have Kelleher with a £3.9m and no clean sheet than Arelo with a £4.3m and no clean sheet. The Westham defence isn't as good as I imagined it would be, and Areola is exposed to 1-v-1 situations more often

Second, if Liverpool's defenders do their job, Kelleher will be OK; Onana has the most clean sheets in the league not because he's a world-class keeper, but because United's defenders are doing their job by covering up the fraud.

Kelleher is our second choice, Adrian will basically never play in the league this season and his contract expires at the end of it anyway. We are naming U21 goalkeepers on the bench ahead of him, and I haven't even seen him himself on the bench for most of the campaign. It's almost like Loris Karius's fate (although I must say that Adrian did not play particularly bad).

Needed an immediate fix for Areola, and Kelleher appears to be the best and cheapest choice right now, with a nice run of games. Allison is unlikely to return until January.

I finally used the WC! It had been a long time coming. A strong midfield and a three-man attack on the clock.

Wish I had a WC to work with this week. Need 5 transfers to get to my perfect team. Will probably go -4 and make 2 and leave it like that for now.

By the end of this GW, I want to see myself in top 20 and heading up. Smiley

Not only Nunez but it all depends on your differential picks as well.

Does anyone know what is the deal with Watkins?

I feel as though he is going to start and it's nothing serious, but perhaps it's just illness or a knock?

Who's Liverpool second choice GK? Kelleher or Andrian ?

After James' suspension I want to add him to my squad. I'm aware that this is a big risk. However I want to relieve my budget by signing a this effective defensive player in offense for only 5.4 million euros.

5.4m can get you Zichenko, Porro, Gabriel, Dalot, I think Saliba, and even Walker. There's no reason to sign a suspended or injured player. So it's probably best to wait until GW16 to sign him. But meanwhile, you can still use the money on another defender.

No one ever knows especially If they're getting to find out via FPL website, it's often just a fluke and players usually plays in most case scenario whenever there is "75% chance of playing" tag on the player, but in the case of 50%, according to FPL site it's a muscle injury and has 50% chance of playing, I believe this is something a bit more than usual and Watkins just might not play, even though it's not a serious one and only misses this GW.

I know that this is probably one of my worst seasons so far ever since started playing fantasy football, definitely due to my persistent stubbornness this season about some players, but my concern is on the future of this Fantasy league in general. [banned mixer] is one of the major sponsors, and we all know that the forum administration decided to ban mixers after 1st Jan 2024.
Will the competition continue as planned?
Will the winners get the rewards as projected, or there will be some changes since the partnership will just go half way?
