I finally wildcarded, I like how my team looks now. Not sure that getting rid of Watkins was a good choice, but it had to be done to accommodate Haaland.

City's going into a nice run of games, it's getting too dangerous not to have him at this point of the season. I took Darwin as well - I have a feeling he's gonna frustrate me a lot in the next few weeks.
Still - an easy LFC fixture list makes it a no-brainer.

Who to captain is the difficult choice now. Having Haaland and not captaining him is crazy, but Salah's a better choice for this GW for sure.

It is not only a question of who you brought in, it is also a question of who you removed. For instance I will probably bring in Palmer but don't know for who. Waiting on Bowen injury news, if he is out long time, easy decision. If he is back for their European game than it means Diaby is going out of my team.

Right, I forgot to say that I transferred out Neto and Bernd Leno out for those two. I was really looking forward to having Neto back this week but that never came out to be, I know he has Burnley in like 2 gameweeks but I feel that I am losing points across my whole midfield, so that's a problem if I want to close the gap. Also his fixtures get harder after that so there's no point just taking 5 points in 2 weeks (suppose), I need more than that urgently.

As for Leno, well, suffice it to say, I am quite disappointed by his recent performances, and he and Areola have very hard fixtures next so the potential clean sheet helps here.

I have Trippier, what if he gets injured today? Then he is out as priority and I have enough money to take Saka instead of Palmer.

For now I have some cover in also owning Tsimikas, Saliba, and Andersen. only Andersen has a bad fixture next week so he will be on my bench.

Don't make transfers just yet guys, we have european games and no telling who will get injured. Quite a few players I want to bring, gonna be -4 or maybe even -8 for me this week.

Too late, already bought Kelleher and Sterling on my 2 FT  Cheesy at least Sterling does not have europe to worry about, although I'm not worried about Kelleher at all since the statistical probability that he pulls a hammy right after Alisson is quite small.

I know I said Sterling was a trap before, but he seems to be doing a lot better now.

I still have enough to shore up my defense, and I can even do Jonny Evans => Porro if I downgrade Bowen. Although I do have cover in defense and midfield/attack in case someone gets injured and/or Bowen does not recover in time.

So many open combinations, will never understand why someone would lock in their options this early in the week.

I managed to collect 58 points this week with Hwang Hee-chan's scoring a goal tonight. Even though 58 points isn't very high I assume that I still managed to become the person who collected the most points in our league this week.Still I think that I'm quite unlucky this week. I chose Son as the captain but all of his 3 goals in the Aston Villa match were disallowed due to offside. It was painful for me to watch.

By the way I would like to correct a mistake here.  Grin  I thought that I was the one who collected the most points for the week. However I have realized that boltz was more successful than me about this topic. I would like to congratulate him for being the winner of this week.  Smiley
I will double check that tonight and proclaim the winner officially. No hurry since we have to wait until Monday for free bet to be paid anyway.

Though week as expected, Lascelles (probably spelled him wrong) coming from the bench helped a little.

Noted that, lucky you.
Just when we all thought it was safe having Bowen on and there he was, on the bench. I took a wrong gamble with him but, can’t say I had better on my sub. Might get 3points off the bench with two players off my team for the GW @Bowen @Gusto but, that still isn’t taking my team anywhere I wanna be.
I had high expectations on Solanke but, he underperformed.

Alvarez will Auto sub for Bowen in your team and give you a fat red arrow cause I'm moving back to your position in few hours from now.

Am I getting that right?
Maybe Mudryk is in the wrong team. Same feelings I had about J. Felix before he joined Barcelona and now we could all attest to his potent. Mudryk is doing so much but, he isn’t shining like he ought to.

Can’t say the same for Darwin. Like, his been trying to create something with Salah lately but, his so inconsistent and always missing the target. Just imagine him before the international break, he literally sent a ball flying in front of goal. What sort of a player is that. Yeah, before you say it happens, it tells a lot about his quality of play as a player. Haaland can’t miss that!

Players like Mudryk need experienced players around them to excel, which we currently lack at Chelsea.

If Liverpool wants to get the most out of Darwin, they must let go of Salah. The current Liverpool attack is centred around Salah rather than Darwin. I just have a feeling things will change if Darwin becomes the target guy and everything revolves around him.

Had Douglas Luiz as my Auto sub for Bowen, I'm currently with red arrow but could move up with Douglas Luiz 7 points.

Darwin and Mudyrk are so similar, so much potentials, but still so much to learn. I hope the best for them both in the future.

Darwin is already up there I can't say the same for Mudryk.

Watkins is a choice to consider, he is having the best season of his career, and very involved in Aston Villa games. His goal against Tottenham was spectacular and too quick for Guglielmo Vicario who is not easy to beat from a distance. Watkins would have even had two goals had one goal not been cancelled.

Another Aston villa player who even earned me better points than Watkins despite his goal is Douglas Luiz.

7 goals and 8 assists in 13 games is a great start, but I can't agree with you until he outscored his previous season record of double digits.

I don't have both, which is why getting Watkins is a better option; we all know how deadly the Aston Villa attackers are, and Watkins is constantly getting involved.

With the quantity of goal scoring chances he got every game, Darwin may have been the closest thing to Halaand in terms of attacking returns if only his finishing touches were as good as Halaand's.

I'm not sure why you're dropping Watkins, but I can't think of a better Alvarez replacement. Overall, the forthcoming schedule makes things more difficult. Since yesterday, I've had three drafts

If you got both then there is no suitable Alvarez replacement at the moment. Darwin keeps scoring offsides, Højlund is a statue, Nkunku hasn't returned from injury yet and Solanke, well you saw how he went.

Solanke was shit yesterday, don't wanna talk about it.  Angry

Why don't you make some transfers and remove all those injured players? Estupinan and Stones must go, -4 for transfers isn't that bad if you need to make a change in situations like this. I went even -12 almost every season when squad needed that mini wildcard. Good thing with all those injuries you will at least get 5 points from Semenyo.

I waited to use the wildcard after the City-LFC game.
Call me stupid, but I hate getting penalty points.

I'm changing my team now, I hope I won't feel sorry for getting rid of Watkins. Villa's got a horrible run of games coming.
BTW - I had a team in place in which I keep Saka - didn't click Submit yesterday, Palmer's price rose by 0.1 so no Saka anymore. This game is so punishing sometimes.

I'm not sure about Saka since he's been having a bad run of games. I'm using my wildcard to get Son and Alvarez off the team; Son is toothless without Maddison, and Alvarez hasn't played well since the first international break.

I play with 3 defenders and 3 out of 5 I've got are injured. White is on the bench, I hoped at least he'd be playing.
That means I play with 10 again - the same as last round.

Not sure what the points average is this round, but I'm surely gonna be well below it. Would need a miracle from Son and Watkins to finish otherwise.

Probably no longer a good idea to bin Stones now that he made the bench today. Pep will probably ease him into the starting 11.
Yeah he will, but is it good enough for you if your defender plays 2/3 games at best and has a blank in GW18? We have a game every 3 days during holidays in PL and unless some injuries happen, Pep will rotate his defenders. They will all play good minutes but nobody will play close to 90. What is worse, Pep often makes subs on half time or 55th minute. Then you have Brentford - City game in GW 18 postponed, I presume most of us will have Haaland and Mbuemo at that moment. Do we really need another player that needs to be benched?

It looks like I'm good this week. I came into the gameweek with no transfers left and about 4 players (including Haaland) were marked as unlikely to feature but compared to the average points earned across the board, I think I'm doing pretty good for this gw. Definitely not the highest but I expected lower points than I currently have and I'm thankful.

I was thinking of buying James however he surprised me today by getting a red card. Because he is a player who really has problems with injuries and suspensions it is very risky for you to put him in your squad. Still after his suspension comes to an end I will transfer him most probably.

James has never come off to me as a player worthy of being in my team. Those frequent injuries amd suspension is a big turn off for me. Similar to how I'm planning to offload Botman. He's been out for far too long do I'll probably do it in the coming gameweek.

I just hope changing my captaincy from Son to Halaand and from Halaand to Salah at the end won't hurt my rank.
I vice captained Haaland who scored the only goal, and handed captainship to Son, so I am expecting that he hands me good points tomorrow in their home game against Aston Villa even without the creativity of Maddison.

Who saw Havertz's goal? He won the game for Arsenal with a very good header against Brentford who were a very difficult team for Arsenal to breakdown. Those kind of goals increases a player confidence, something which Havertz really needs.
