To be honest, I'm a little upset... I used the triple captain's chip because Haaland had a rest before the game against United, moreover, he had a rest during the World Cup and hadn't scored in a long time. I sincerely thought that Man City would try to catch up with Arsenal on points this game week and expected that Haaland would score at least three goals this week.  Cry

Haaland by the end of the game week might still end up with more points than Rashford, we both know all it takes him is some relatively good 30 minutes or so to make his mark, but I'm rather very upset with how imbalance the City chemistry looks somewhat typical to the Belgium in the world cup, all great players and names and no form of cohesion whatsoever between highly disrupted, and that's literally all thanks Guardiola's tinkering tactics, I duly wonder the next time City will score up to 3-4 goals again this season, because it might never happen.
City does not look good at all now and as you said I blame Pep's constant tinkering with formations and players. You have to rotate when you have team like City but it could have been done differently and without totally destroying morale of some important players like Foden or Cancelo.

Regarding captaining Haaland, I did it because of Spurs game not United game. I expected United game to be though for them but I also expect City to score at least 2 goals against Spurs and maybe more while Rashford will have much less space against Crystal Palace.

I don't know how you missed the Nunez injury update, but he will be out until the Chelsea game. Well, our expensive Halaand was a total shadow of himself, and I wish I had gone with Rashford as my captain, as he appears to be the only guy who is always going to score nowadays.

I didn't see the Liverpool game, but I predicted Brighton would win or give Liverpool a tough time somewhere on this thread. I really don't understand Liverpool's excuse; they have 85% of their first team players, a proven coach, and yet they perform like shit. This season, Brighton is the most organized team in the league.

how are your teams holding up?

Yeah, it's something called real life. Mouths to feed, literally heh. My quality of football enjoyment has been decent, not complaining, and I probably would end up just sinking hours of my life into nothing if I had the time, leading to duller senses at work. Can't complain, but should have at least subbed him out, even wasted captaincy haha.

Rashford was certainly the way to go, just wish I listened to the voice at the back of my head. Liverpool? I'm trying to forget...

Just pissed at myself for not captaining Rashford

same here
wanted to do it, but 6:3 and Haaland hattrick, while I sent him from my team are still the worst decision this season, and that influenced decision for this round, although I believed that United is not going to lose the match, and almost certain that Rashford will, at least, be as good as Haaland

+ Rashford has Crystal Palace, and Haaland Spurs to come

what is happening with Saka? except on FPL, didn't saw that he is not going to play today

Not really good but I didn't even expect more. Did not play any chip and I made transfers more for future than for this GW alone. Just pissed at myself for not captaining Rashford but if i did I just know he would have ended up with injury in that minute 40 when he was limping.

Liverpool costed me so much yesterday, just needed one goal from them to win several multi tickets. I knew they will have problems and not win but I was sure they will score.

I definitely am toying with the idea of Rashford and maybe even Fernandes... City look brittle now.
Rashford is a must have at this point, playing in a great form, either on wing or as a striker and United has a double. If somebody scores against City you can just see him finishing a counter attack move. I am even contemplating giving captain band to Rashford this week as my way to try and catch up. City looked quite in last few games and Pep seems a bit too focused on rotating his players.

Fernandes is a bit too expensive for my taste, so many great midfielders and most of them a couple of millions cheaper then him.

Well, if I had gone either of them I'd be up. Instead, not only did my expensive Haaland not score, my not so expensive Nunez didn't even feature, not that Gakpo was any better.

Bad betting week and bad fantasy decisions.

And yes, Brighton were made to look world class by Liverpool. I don't know what to say or do with this team now really.

didn't watch it, but result is saying it all
sad day for Liverpool town, since Everton also lost home match against Southampton, playing awful, head into lead, but could not keep it
Lampard has to leave, or this will be relegation season, for a team with most top tier seasons in a league

is anyone else seeing Liverpool being slaughtered by Brighton, I've never seen anything more awful from Liverpool, yikes! Solly March is definitely going to be one of the most transferred in player for the next game week 2 goals and an assist, and he's been getting decent points lately too.
Watching the game and I can't decide if Liverpool defense is that bad or Brighton has world class attackers in March, Ferguson & Mitoma. This was really football school for Liverpool and they can be happy it only finished 3:0 for Brighton.

United turning City in 1 minute is also a bit strange, but I enjoy seeing Pep defeated to get back at him for all the transfer shenanigans so that was a nice one. Not many points for City defenders in this game. We shall see if it gets better in the next one.

Akanji is Pep's new perfect CB; he has played 90 minutes in 10 fixtures in the last 12 EPL games, averaging 6 points. I'm sure he'll play a big role in the upcoming games; he's been really impressive in the games he's played this season, and Pep would be crazy to dump him now. Did you hear what Pep said after the game against Chelsea about Lewis? The team was in shambles until he arrived, and Pep stated that he made others better. Another Pep golden egg, his making another Oleksandr Zinchenko to milk money for the team.
Well Akanji is playing today but I am thinking it is just because Stones is out.

In other news Pep strikes again. How many of you got rid of Foden/Cancelo/Walker? Good news, they are all in first 11  Grin I just knew it that it isn't worth it to sell Foden for a hit before the double. Of course I would rather have Mahrez looking at recent form but this could be the game week when it all turns around in perfect Pep fashion. This is now second serious game City plays and second start for all three of them, maybe Pep just keeps them for toughest challenges.

Or far more likely, it is how his serials dropped in the bowl this morning  Grin

I went with Nathan Ake, I was very confident he was going to play even if Stones was available, imo he's probably Guardiola favorite City defender now, especially due to how composed he is with the ball at his feet and the way he positions himself and passing abilities.

Aker took Stones's position, Akanji was always going to play

I got rid of those jerks before GW 19 because I was sick of them, Cancelo is no longer the man, and I don't regret my decision. Is Halaand's era over? his last three games have been terrible, the passes are no longer coming, the secret between him and KDB has been discovered, cut off KDB supply and Halaand will become Benteke. Has anyone else noticed that no other City players are passing the ball to Halaaand? B. Silva would rather do a 360-degree turn with the ball and pass sideways.

How was Bruno's goal not offside? Rashford was clearly offside when he ran towards the ball and blocked Aker from getting it. The linesman made the correct decision but the ref was so ass.

OMG. Juan Felix in the starting lineup.

From a dream start to nightmare, Joao Felix was having a great game and playing very decent, but just one wrongly mistimed tackle ruined what could have been a dream debut turned to probably one of his worse night, but I'm sure he'd be over it.
To make it perfect in FPL terms there is already a significant amount of managers that bought Felix  Grin Really hope they did it before the red card. Since it was direct red card there is also a big probability of longer penalty, he could be looking at 2 or 3 matches ban. Nice way to help his new club.

To be fair, he was quite good on the pitch and that tackle had a bit of bad luck in it as well, he was looking at the ball and did not see the guy until it was already too late, at least it looked like that to me. Don't get me wrong it was a deserved red card since it was a real dangerous tackle.

It was an unfortunate situation, and because the ref didn't see much of it, I expected VAR to intervene and check it out, but the Fulham players' reaction clouded the ref's mind, and he gave out so many unjustified bookings last night. I dislike referees who feel pressured to hand out so many cards. not the debut he wanted. poor boy.

Drawin and Stone are out for the upcoming games; Stone would have been in my team if I had 0.2 cent more, which I'm glad didn't happen. Buwaytress, you left your captain's band on Darwin, who may be away for a month?

yeah, Joao did it bad, and it is good that I didn't even plan to put him in the team

and looking at that, I would probably leave team unchanged for next round, with two Chelsea players (am I nuts), that were crap to include them into for this round, DGW was simply not worth it

Gakpo could hit my team, 8 million is not much and he could score more points than Salah, if everything comes to place

I'm official out of the global cup  Angry, And It's thanks to Mitrovic, the potential 5 points I lost from him was the only why I got eliminated.

are we on a same boat, expecting United to win?
not sure, but Rashford as captain is also possibility for me, but it is hard to overthink that my team started sliding with Haaland hattrick in last duel between this two, and I thought that it is safe to left Haaland out for that match

hard to think that it could happen again, but still thinking about doubling down on Marcus, with all said for United play and Ronaldo story, TH is fastest United manager to reach 20 wins with the team

Just as everyone is turning away from Darwin, there comes Buwaytress with his weir decision, always going against the odds. I finally got rid of him after being stupid for more than 4 GW, and besides, Liverpool will play Brighton, a very difficult team to beat, so I don't see Darwin scoring, but we never know. If you need my advice, I would manutd players because ETH does not rotate players as frequently as Pep. I currently have two Manchester United, two City, two Arsenal, and two Newcastle players. I paid -8 to get Andreas and Botman, who are both long-term players.

I've also made him captain. This isn't actually going against the odds, though, this is my assertion that he will finally come good on his conversions. I may still be wrong. He might be Suarez (first season offside 10+ times, second season he figured out how to do it and scored even more).
It took me a few days to decide whether to get rid of Nunez or keep him, but Kane DGW and his current form were too tempting to pass up. Having Kane and Haaland on the table is the current trend, and anyone who isn't on this table is taking a bigger risk. Everyone's attacking options are nearly identical; the only positions that make any difference now are midfield and CB options. Halaand rendered the Captaincy useless, as almost every manager left it on him. Mitovic - Nunez in the future is still on the table.

I definitely am toying with the idea of Rashford and maybe even Fernandes... City look brittle now.
Rashford is a must have at the moment I can't say the same about Bruno.

Edit; trofo beat me to it.  Grin
