I definitely am toying with the idea of Rashford and maybe even Fernandes... City look brittle now.

@Trofo @Igebotz

Yeah, 14/1++ was too good against City (arguably it should have been 20/1 it's not right as Southampton have been that bad), and I actually doubled down again on a "to qualify" bet at 7/1 thinking, what if they go through but the regular game ends as a draw anyway, I'd feel cheated.
Rashford is a must have at this point, playing in a great form, either on wing or as a striker and United has a double. If somebody scores against City you can just see him finishing a counter attack move. I am even contemplating giving captain band to Rashford this week as my way to try and catch up. City looked quite in last few games and Pep seems a bit too focused on rotating his players.

Fernandes is a bit too expensive for my taste, so many great midfielders and most of them a couple of millions cheaper then him.

I'm glad to be finally rid of Darwin Nunez, but then there you are again going against all known odds, which you usually have in your favor sometimes, I still have Mason Mount while I'm also waiting for the final cup fixtures before making decisions, because If all my players are very fit and available going into the weekend, I could cancel my initial points hit strategy

I'm okay if it doesn't work out, 3 points is more important. But I'm also holding off on major decisions until next game week.

I get your drift, and every risk you take now is highly important, it's a make or mar decision, so where is the fun or catching up if you taking the same steps as your opponents, If I were in your position too, I'd definitely be taking risky decisions with players with little ownership, because every single you get from them will be well worth it, I on the other I'm playing it conservatively for now, as the marathon it's is rather than the sprint of each GW.

The current game week ends today, with Chelsea locking horns with Fulham tonight, It would have made all the sense in the world If Mitrovic would have played, but I'm entirely dependent on Mount and Andreas to cough out 14 points for today which is not realistic afaik, but stranger things have happened.

Just as everyone is turning away from Darwin, there comes Buwaytress with his weir decision, always going against the odds. I finally got rid of him after being stupid for more than 4 GW, and besides, Liverpool will play Brighton, a very difficult team to beat, so I don't see Darwin scoring, but we never know. If you need my advice, I would manutd players because ETH does not rotate players as frequently as Pep. I currently have two Manchester United, two City, two Arsenal, and two Newcastle players. I paid -8 to get Andreas and Botman, who are both long-term players.

I've also made him captain. This isn't actually going against the odds, though, this is my assertion that he will finally come good on his conversions. I may still be wrong. He might be Suarez (first season offside 10+ times, second season he figured out how to do it and scored even more).

Foden starts two games in a row? Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Grin trofo He would obviously sit on the bench and watch the DGW. Getting Stones or Akanji/Lewis right now makes a lot of sense.

The only thing that's got me surprised is the fact that Guardiola decided to start Foden, Cancelo and Gundogan tonight, does that mean they're are now the second reserve team or substitute if that's the right word.

Pep began to twerk his head around Cancelo after the World Cup, but I thought he was decent against Chelsea, but Pep is just another coach who makes it difficult for other managers to predict his formation, and Foden and Gundogan are effectively back to the second choice team. Gundogan is old and cannot start every game, but I don't understand why the other player got axed

Akanji/Lewis will not play full games as well. Lewis never played it in his life for City and Akanji will probably loose his spot to Laporte sooner than later. I think only Ake or Ederson could be considered for covering City defense.

By the way, City loosing 2:0 at half time to Southampton is quite incredible. Hope at least buwaytress cashed on it Smiley

Akanji is Pep's new perfect CB; he has played 90 minutes in 10 fixtures in the last 12 EPL games, averaging 6 points. I'm sure he'll play a big role in the upcoming games; he's been really impressive in the games he's played this season, and Pep would be crazy to dump him now. Did you hear what Pep said after the game against Chelsea about Lewis? The team was in shambles until he arrived, and Pep stated that he made others better. Another Pep golden egg, his making another Oleksandr Zinchenko to milk money for the team.

Buwatress would never bet on this. I won't be surprised if he did. the king of the underdogs

Foden will miss first game in DGW for sure but I am not sure for second. I guess you missed the fact that Stones did not even travel with City. Could be he is injured. I totally understand what Trofo is driving at, and I would agree with I also believe that Foden will start both of those matches, but how many minutes he'll get from both fixtures is what I can not guess. I also think Cancelo will get decent minutes from both fixtures too, but I'm rather tired of waiting which is the same impression I have of Nunez, the only difference that at least both Cancelo and Foden can be justified for not having decent playing chance, unlike Darwin Nunez.

Darwin finally in my team, next to Haaland, and I've chucked out poor Trent in favour of Robbo.

Seems pretty tempting to put in City players but I wonder if United is the better form team?

All right. Finally, finally made my team changes. Actually only took out two, and played some risky last-chance keeps on guys like Grob (can't spell his name right now) heh heh.

was I the only one unaware that United is having DGW as well

having three players from United is good to go, and I will not change that, which leaves little space to include one more player from City, will probably stay on just Haaland, and Martial will stay, Kane could be better, but it is much more expensive, and United is actually having match against Palace, more space to score for Martial (he will probably blank both now)
.

I didn't have Man Utd DGW in mind before having Rashford and Martial, and I believe two teams with DGW before the next 3 weeks haven't been predetermined, Man Utd DWG wasn't in place before IIRC, so I believe the DGW was determined by some of the results of the cup fixtures.

I'm waiting for Halaand double blank... It's happening. Alvarez will play the second fixture

this was my main slide factor in the beginning, had Haaland in the team, and flipped him after first hat-trick, which was a major mistake
so, will not change him in near future, but for Triple Captain these matches are too tight (although match with United was part of major mistake in first part)

but there is one free transfer, not sure that I will use -4 to include more players from Tottenham or City, and Kane is out from my budget

I still have Halaand in my team and he is my permanent captain until further notice, but I am concerned for Trofo, who is about to use a double captain chip on him, given the form of KDB, his only source, and the tight fixtures and form of the other options at the moment. Alvarez will also see some action. I have a strange feeling Halaand and KDB will blank, so I'm thinking about making Kane my captain before the double week.

I'm hoping that not having NKatieh yet will not harm me.
I don't think I will actually use it at this moment since City will have better double game week towards the end of season but here is a couple of reasons why it could be good time to use it:
1. Haaland got rested at cup and CL is not starting for quite some time, these are though fixtures and I expect him to play a lot in both games. At later point in the league he could be injured, he could be fatigued and it is quite probable City will prioritize CL
2. i think we all agree double game week for Haaland is the time to use triple captain
3. Spurs are actually terrible defense and he could get a lot of goals here
4. When we get double game week with more teams, bench boost is actually better chip than triple captain

If I had used my Bench boost in either of this game week or the previous, It would have felt justified imo because I had decent bench in previous week and this game week I have 24 points lurking on the bench, could it have gotten actually better than this ? but that said, I might be taking a huge points hit, for reasons that my team change between one defender, a forward and perhaps a midfield and that's at least a -8 points hit, hopefully I'd be able to cover the deferential.

For the record, I don't think Haaland will miss any of the two games, especially since he got rested for the cup games, and City having dropped points to Arsenal's advantage literally means Haaland getting as many minutes as possible, I reckon Alvarez also getting some minutes in either of the games, but it won't be at the expense of Haaland, besides Haaland, De Bruyne, Ederson and Rodri (worse FPL decision) I don't think I can guarantee any other Man City player starting both games.

looks like im out of the global cup  Grin i don't know how.

You are in trouble because Mount is currently in bad shape and may not play in our next game.

Yes, it seem so but I think Mount would play against Fulham since he was available for the FA Cup game against Man City, If I get eliminated I'm still going to blame it all on Mitrovic for that silly yellow that have suspended for the game against Chelsea, him starting in the second game alone would have been a huge plus for me, because I'd have another 6 points extra if he gets to start vs Chelsea, and that'd have won the tie for me.

If Mount plays, he will blank + a yellow card; he is out of form this season and appears frustrated; he should have not been tested last match due to his recent injuries, but if we had other players available, he would not have played, so I understand why he was used, though it is risky. No Chelsea midfielder and attacker is worth it at the moment.

Any of you guys going for Kane now that he has a double as well? It is a though double against Arsenal and City but Kane has done very well against both of these clubs in the past ans Spurs love to play against high line. Just one thing putting me off, he is in same situation as Mitrović week before, a yellow card in first game will mean suspension for second game.
Fuck Nunez, Kane looks like a good deal before the DGW, and at this point in the season, "trust the process is too risky," if there is a significant short-term gain, I will take it. Since there was no injury update for Kulu, I dropped him with a -4 and am hoping Andreas won't let me down

This is also first time this season I am considering using a chip, triple captain on Haaland looks like a nice play.

I think I'm on the brink of getting eliminated in the global cup, except if Andreas and Mason Mount can both come up with at least 13-14 points cumulatively, and the ironic things is that this is the week I've felt the most confident heading into the game with against opponent.

I'm looking to play a chip this coming game week, but I have not decided fully yet though, I think I need a restructuring in my team as a whole.

Chelsea is now finished! If things keep going the way they are, Potter might be in trouble as we get worse with every fucking game. It hurts to watch us play

Sacking Potter would only be a regressive move for Chelsea imo, I said from the get go that Chelsea might be to big a club for Graham Potter to manage, but that doesn't mean he was supposed to turn the team over overnight, He really just needs time imo, and the injuries aren't by any means helping his cause.

I don't support the fan base that is calling for his ouster, but I want to think that he is the right person to build the team, get us the players we would need, and get rid of dead woods so that when his job is done, we can get someone who knows how to use those players, someone with a lot of experience managing a top team. Tuchel's dismissal was their biggest error to date. I agree that we weren't at our best and that it was more of an inside scandal than a result of his poor performance. We weren't this bad under him, and I still think he's the right person for the job. I'm not sure, but we should allow Potter some time to build us a dream team.

Halaand will likely be rested or bring on in the second half if things don't go well in the first half, but Alvarez will probably start today's game. Due to a lack of game time, Foden's confidence has declined, and even if he plays, I don't think he will contribute significantly. After all, we all saw how poorly he performed against Chelsea. Getting Kane for the double week is still the best choice, I suppose; I've been debating it for a while.

My question is, why are you guys  still holding Foden? Saka gets more playing time and scores more points than Foden and he costs £1 less.
For me it is very simple, I am keeping Foden since i don't have enough free transfers to get him out  Grin It is often better to just wait then to spend points for a transfer that can backfire. Especially if City has a double GW.

I didn't expect Foden to start, but now that he has, I think it only means he won't play in the next game. Halaand rested, and Alvarez starts as I had predicted. Personally, I won't mind trading out Foden for Saka with a -4, who will almost certainly start every game if available and who also takes set pieces and penalty kicks.

What is with the name change? I know it is not that easy to do it here on the forum so you must have had a good reason Smiley
Yes, I do and I was surprised I got it within a few days.
