Now that Nketiah is playing well, Martinelli lost some of the apeal, he is not having that much chances like when Jesus was linking up with fellow countryman.

that is probably only change that I will make, Nketiah in, Martinelli out
but still didn't decided is that out on the bench, or out completely

my team is not worth much (around 101), and I play with almost 2 million in bank, which is certainly not good tactics, but expensive players didn't deliver lately

I'm not sure yet, but something tells me to replace Nketiah with Gnonto (despite the fact that Arsenal have a rather easy game ahead and Nketiah is in great shape).

regarding easy match for Arsenal, bear in mind that Lampard is sacked and we will probably hire Sean Dyche (or Bielsa), so first match under new manager

^ Seems like a nice setup, for me, I'm actually toying with the idea of putting Martinelli in. I know you guys are fed up with him but I'm trying to see who in the Gunners will step up now that the entire team seems to be fighting for places. I still haven't figured out if Arteta sticks to players who did well in the last game, or if he's a bit like Klopp who likes to reward players who train well.

Gonna stick with Salah for captain against Wolves -- stupid seeing how we've played them in past games, but he used to really enjoy games against them...

Any rival tips from you Trofo? Wink
As long as you are captaining Salah I can share anything, you will not outscore Rashford with two games  Grin

Acording to the expected stats Odegaard is better than Martinelli and Saka, but Saka has penalties on his side. Now that Nketiah is playing well, Martinelli lost some of the apeal, he is not having that much chances like when Jesus was linking up with fellow countryman.

I'm just trying it on, but this is how my line-up will look like. I'm not sure yet, but something tells me to replace Nketiah with Gnonto (despite the fact that Arsenal have a rather easy game ahead and Nketiah is in great shape). In any case, I need -8 to play with this lineup.  Cool

One thing I'm very certain about in every of gambling thread I'm active on within the forum is that I'm very much conversant with every of our discussions, arguments and opinions of most people that are active there, because I actually read, digest and take everyone opinions into considerations, knowing I can be very wrong about my perspectives, but one thing I'm sure about is that no one here gave Arsenal title or 2nd place chances, only a very few considered they COULD even finish within the top four and if they was anyone who wrote them off completely, you were actually one of them.

I spent less that 3 minutes to bring these posts out, and the next few pages before and after your posts quoted below suggested everyone's stance at that point.

com'on man those were just a fanatic point of view from me on Arsenal, They are our main London rival, and we must never speak well of them, even when they are doing well. We must always find the negative aspect of their game to allow banter to take his place. BTW, you are correct that I questioned Arsenal and even bet $100 on them finishing below Chelsea, but those were just my predictions. I checked several top pundits, and they all predicted that Arsenal would finish ahead of Chelsea, but none of them expected them to challenge for the title.

Before season started I know I belived it would be City and Liverpool on first 2 positions and then Arsenal, Spurs and United fighting it for top 4 and direct CL spots. I also expected good Newcastle but not this good.

You missed out on my free $100 bet because you were not confident in your predictions. Cool

So far biggest outperformers are Arsenal and Newcastle, while biggest disappointments must be Liverpool and Chelsea. At least for me.

I'm quite sure if we were to hold poll about your last statement in Premier League Pool thread about your last statement, we'd get a large and very easy consensus..

I can't help but imagine a couple of free money being tossed each others way before the season started, I mean someone offering Salah to 25 or more goals, and another on the Ronaldo Over 15 PL goals, at least the latter would have been a settled bet by now, even if not by the bookies yet.

Ha, you digged some of my posts as well, I never thought Arsenal can be champions and I just started belevineg a couple of weeks ago, definitely after the world cup. At least I called Arsenal above Chelsea correct and actually all other teams I mentioned are also abive Chelsea at the moment.

If I had to pick one team that will underperform this season, it has to be Chelsea for me and I would not be surprised if they finish behind: City, LFC, Spurs, Arsenal and maybe even United.
Lol. Just one bad preseason game and you've already predicted the season's outcome; I told you Arsenal and Manchester United are preseason merchants; don't let their performance fool you into thinking they'll do well when the real business begins. I love that we are the underdogs this season; we always outperform when the rest of the world has little faith in us. We still have 92% of the squad that won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, World Club Cup, and qualified for two domestic cup finals, our transfers aren't going as well as we would like due to the takeover, we were behind every other team, and we started late. I don't care how poorly we perform this season; there is no way we are letting Arsenal and Manchester United top us.

You willing to put some money on that (20-50$)? Chelsea is listed as favorite for 3rd place at most bookies. I am giving you even odds that Chelsea finishes lower than that. So basically if Chelsea finishes 1-3 you win, if Chelsea finishes lower than that I win.

If you don't like that bet I am also giving you even odds that one from following 3 teams finishes above Chelsea: Spurs, United or Arsenal. Meaning any of them finish above Chelsea you lose.

And if you don't like either bet, hit me up with counter proposal or simply acknowledge that even you don't believe in Chelsea this season Smiley
$100 ; Chelsea to qualify for the champions league next season?

$100; Arsenal not to qualify for top 4

$100; Chelsea to have a more successful season than Arsenal and Spur.

Your call?

if Jesus should get back today, I doubt he slot right back into the given the standard at which Nketiah have performed at.

The title charge began with the signing of Jesus and his impact on the team prior to the World Cup; Nketieh is scoring goals now because the team is playing better, not because he is special. Jesus will walk back to the team. Imo

I might have to disagree a bit, if not solely on this. Arsenal saw a great deal in Gabriel Jesus and they took, of course it made them a better than they were last season, with serious forwards issues with Lacazette out of for and Aubameyang's shenanigans, but does make it give the chance to challenge for the title at the begin of the season ?
They were slightly better than every other club and won all of their pre-season games by large margins while other clubs were struggling. I know every rival fan said it was only a pre-season, but Arsenal fans were already chanting title songs this season, at least from the ones I know, and Jesus coming into the team and making everyone look better gave them some hope to dream again.

Most definitely not and no one definitely saw it as such, with the calibre of requirements other teams were making ? I don't even think there's any pundit or analyst that saw fight competitively for top 4 spot at the begin of the season, I can be corrected though as I would to read such insight that is dated back to before the commencement of the season.
I didn't save any of the outright predictions, but with Chelsea struggling at the end of the season due to sanctions and Manchester United also struggling with injuries and the coach, most pundits predicted Arsenal to qualify for the top 4 ahead of these two teams for the first time in ages. Nobody saw their title chances, but everyone was confident of them finishing in the top4 ahead of either Chelsea or Manchester United. I'm sure the club's goal from the start of the season was to finish in the top 4

Keeping my head up and keeping a close eye on Bruno's form; this may sound silly, but KDB to Saka/Bruno, Mitovic to Nketieh is happening.

I literally just kept KDB due to the double gameweek, but I'm not likely going to following the Bruno bandwagon, perhaps just yet, I'll prolly switch to a couple of Arsenal outfield players before their DGW too.

We all saw what happened with Manchester City players in the previous DGW. Pep will have the final say as well. KDB has failed to impress me in the last five games.

We are all just taken aback, like Leicester City did some years ago, but Arsenal's team this season seem to be slightly far better, I mean from a lover of good football perspective, not just score a goal and let your defensive prowess take it up from there standpoint.

I'm done with Martineli, he will get the bench soon with the way Trossard is playing.
I believe Mikel Arteta signed Trossard to help give some quality resting minutes to every of Arsenal's player on the frontline since he's very versatile and could play literally anywhere upfront.

Martinelli is a good player, but I doubt he can keep Trosaard on the bench for long. Trassard is more dynamic and has more experience, and Martinelli isn't just an all-season player. He was better off as a second-half sub last season.

I'm done with Martineli, he will get the bench soon with the way Trossard is playing.
I see Trossard as straight replacement for Martinelli and then Martinelli will sometimes be left on the bench while he could sometimes play as striker and Nketiah left on the bench.

you are correct It's not a good time to get Nketieh, and I'm getting Martinelli off my team because I've had enough of him.

To save my week, I need Mitrovic to haul and Kane to blank. Sad

I quite agree with @Trofo that Saka is probably untouchable at the moment and as such, Trossard would likely get minutes off Martinelli's, but my main point is that I suppose Arteta wasn't looking at strengthening his squad, but rather provide more depth to it with and perhaps make them a bit more dynamic, because the worse thing that could happen to Arsenal right now is for either of their forward line to get injured, and there have already been a couple of knock scare for Saka in these past week, and who would have expected Nketiah to have fired up as much as he's been doing filling the left by Gabriel Jesus, if Jesus should get back today, I doubt he slot right back into the given the standard at which Nketiah have performed at.

I'm done with Martineli, he will get the bench soon with the way Trossard is playing.

I don't think Martinelli is going to get less playing time with the way he has been playing, just because the goals aren't coming around or significant FPL points, but his contribution to the team dynamic is still pretty much very high, that's why Odegaard have been their top scorer with a mere 8 goals so far this season, simply because they play together as a team and the goal comes from just any player within the squad, that's why team with far lesser goals scored than Arsenal this season have players with double digits goals, it took today's goal for Saka to even get on the same number of goal as Martinelli already has, that's 7 goals. That being said, I believe Mikel Arteta signed Trossard to help give some quality resting minutes to every of Arsenal's player on the frontline since he's very versatile and could play literally anywhere upfront.
Trossard is on his best on the left wing and I believe he will eat into Martinelli and Nketiah minutes mostly. He can't replace Odegaard and Saka is probably untouchable in the close games. If Arsenal is leading with 3 goals difference that is the time Saka and Odegaard will get rests. Saka and Odegaard will be rested in Europa league. I see Trossard as straight replacement for Martinelli and then Martinelli will sometimes be left on the bench while he could sometimes play as striker and Nketiah left on the bench.

Should still have captained Haaland, he did get vice, so I guess my changes anyway brought me up a tick but there's very little skin left for me in FPL.

I was Halaand all season (captain) decided to take a different route because I was bored with him, and this happened, man I'm left speechless, I don't know what to say, I didn't see the game but every time I got a goal notification it was always Halaand, I took KDB as my captain and I was expecting at least a goal since he already got an assist to close the gap with Halaand. I was extremely fortunate to have both of them on my team, but I made a mistake with my captaincy selection. My chances of making the top 5 are dwindling, and it's always difficult to close the gap.

fuck Kane and Mitovic, Nketieh and Saka deserve to be on my team. I'm done with Martineli, he will get the bench soon with the way Trossard is playing.

although I should have tossed my trust towards Nketiah instead of Toney who all he could do is pick up a new yellow card, I don't think there is any forward player with more yellow cards than him in the PL this season. Good call for Morvilz7z with that Nketiah pick up  Shocked

Nketiah is sitting on my bench, didn't expect him to shine today like this
but this was the round when Haaland proved that you have to perma captain him, or you will probably get tossed in some rounds, and it is really hard to close that gap afterwards

Haaland would probably have scored more goals 4 or even maybe 5 goals if he was left on the pitch, because he was subbed of with more than 30 minutes left in game, and that's what every player is doing now, to get the players with better differentials and less ownership that could amass points from while staying glued to the default template of Haaland as captain, and a couple of must have players like Rashford and Kieran Trippier, I don't think you can go through 6 teams in the FPL without at least two of these players in 3 of them.

at 88th minute, so I got it wrong on that gamble, and a nice goal for Ferguson.

All this practice for when I finally get this exercise more of a habit Wink

I said it in my last post here that there was no way I would miss the next Haaland haul, lo and behold it happened today and Kevin De Bruyne also paid some dividends too, although I should have tossed my trust towards Nketiah instead of Toney who all he could do is pick up a new yellow card, I don't think there is any forward player with more yellow cards than him in the PL this season. Damn, I should stop giving advice to rivals. Ferguson with a goal and one bonus point in the short time he was on the pitch, while Grenwood will probably not play more then few minutes for the Leeds all the way to season end.

Kepa with another nice haul, one of my better decisions to go with him after the restart. Every time he keeps a clean sheet he also gets bonus points, stuff like that compounds nicely over long period of time.

Haha, thanks and keep it coming! Rivals like me are fine, I'm nowhere near any kind of position to threaten anyone. But yeah, Greenwood only got in at 88th minute, so I got it wrong on that gamble, and a nice goal for Ferguson.
