Congratulations to Spain!!!

They totally deserve to win it because they have been the best team all through this competition, they have had the extra energy to sustain them through some very important games again some very big teams.

England players grew tired legs at the wrong time, with them being the team that equalized the goal, they should have had the momentum to win the game. Another major National title lost by England for the second time.

Do you think Southgate will continue as coach?

Yo, Igebotz. What happened man, I think you lost? Grin
Nico is the player of the match, shame, I would have liked to win by 1 point. Now it's gonna be a massacre.

I think we have a draw at the top though.

Nah this is crazy, Bottled 3rd ,4th and now our side bet - had Nico and transferred him out last minute, everything went wrong from the semi all caused by Spain assets, trusted too many English players. Congrats you did great, the comeback was crazy.

You guys forget what FPL is and who is the creator. So to answer thise two things. Fpl is created by Premier League as pure marketing tool. Therefore it's main objective is to have more players to shill content and that is why prices are as they are. Point is that it is interesting and simple enough for casual players.

And I always believed FPL should have more managerial aspects too, but maybe not like cryptofrka says, because if budget includes personnel of manager, but then we'd have to consider coaching staff, medical, etc. Then people would leave the game =p I think most games try to improve by expanding -- it's short-term for me. You improve on existing, make the system even better before expanding the system.

Nah, just put the manager in. He wins points that are equal to his team, so 3 for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. Wouldn't accumulate to much in the end, but can be ~20-30 points differentiator if you plan it correctly.
Wouldn't break the game, you can make them 1.5-3 mil worth so they aren't a strain to the budget, but they bring some options as well.

Unpopular opinion FPL still needs to find a way to reward least picked players a bit more if you ask me. For example, if a new player wins MOTM for the first time, or reaches a milestone (10 goals, 20 goals) for the first time, or wasn't expected to, he should win the manager bonus points. If you picked a guy who wasn't expected to play but he plays, boom.

And the minutes played thing? It doesn't make sense to me. I personally think efficiency is more valuable than raw numbers. So what if a supersub plays 100 minutes an entire season if he can produce 10 goal contributions? Doesn't that make him deadly? It's not his fault if he only gets thrown on late.

But no one asks me heh.

How would this work? These are the players you usually rotate, what if he has 9 goals and I sub him in? I obviously don't get the bonus, meaning they have to calculate for every individual team. Did you have him while he scored 7? Ok, 3 to go. He had him in 10 - ok, points added. He had him in 2, still a long time to reach the bonus.
A million teams, 50 players like these, you just created a shitstorm.

This might turn it to a bit more of a gamble, than from a tactical stand point, don't get me wrong it is already a gamble, yet but those who go for players that are less likely to be picked get a decent rewards for it already with the term "differential", look at couple of guys that backed Jean-Philippe-Mateta and Solanke a lot last season, they got decent rewards most of the time. And it's just usually a matter of time before adjustment happens towards these low selected players too, just like with Cole Palmer and Solanke, only a very few people had them initially and Palmer rose all the way to 51% overall ownership average by the end of the season, that's twice as much as Salah's, while they were also more Darwin owners than Solanke to start the season but it was a drastic contrast the other way as the season progresses in DGW some were more confident of having Solanke for one game than Nunez for 2 matches.

I just had an idea what would be great to have. I'd like that we have to buy a manager as well.
The budget remains the same, you have to balance it better and must go for some cheap player alternatives, and managers earn points as well.
This is one very brilliant idea, and since managers are getting a lot of attention these days, it makes sense to include them on the possible buy list so they can earn points for their tactics.

I agree with Trofo here - having Haaland, Salah, Saka, Palmer, Watkins and Foden in the same team while still having a decent defence should not be possible.

Yeah, I can't agree less - there will be no more template teams, and it will be more diverse now that prices have risen. This means Halaand is no longer an automatic pick, and we won't see anything close to 80% ownership as in previous seasons.

Having Halaand, Palmer, and Salah in a team means downgrading other alternatives, and with the EPL churning out £4m defenders, the game will be more competitive and fun giving you more chances to leadfrog your opponent. Everyone had Halaand, Salah, Palmer, and Son, which was getting boring, but not anymore. Just modify the entire score system, and we're good to go.

Makes it even harder for people like me who refuse to put him in my team -- or maybe it makes it easier if he has an off season? I have a very weird feeling City will dominate even easier now with Liverpool on the wane supposedly (Arsenal won't make a difference) but it may be less of Haaland if so.

And who knows, Pep loses his will to compete with his greatest rival gone and the malaise sets in elsewhere in the team, then we have FPL majority stuck with Haaland and guys like me laughing to the bank.

One can dream.

Haaland still punishes everyone who doesn't have him in his team.

You could take him out of your team as a punt, but prolonged absence is going to hurt your rank 100%, unfortunately.

These people would try to find a way to price him at 20m pounds if they could, and they'd get away with it.

Halaand's starting price is £15m, which is insane and hilarious.
And he will still be in most teams. Right on the money if you ask me. Prices have been too low for a long time now.

Just look how stupid this euro fantasy is. For the final match I will probably have Mbappe on the bench. And last 2 MDs I had few millions extra. Point should be to make it impossible to have all the best players.

Well now it's about to be that having Haaland, Palmer, Saka, Foden, while having any sort of defense is about to become impossible. Smiley

At least now we won't have all managers by default buying Haaland. Or maybe they will, and I am just fooling myself. I dunno. It's just that we have hardly seen any price reveals so far, so I would much rather that we wait for the full game to come out before making any sort of decision on who to buy.

This whole "reveal a few players and then release the whole game" schtick just feels obnoxious to me, personally.

Halaand's fee would actually get you Isak/Nkuku or Mateta/Watkins up front, which in my opinion are better and more versatile alternatives than just Halaand at £15m; we had a few good moments without him last season.

Palmer's price increase from 5.0 to £10.5 is ridiculous given that we have a new manager, new system, and no one is guaranteed a starting spot until after preseason. To be honest, FPL overdid themselves on Halaand and Palmer, inflating their prices far too much. After Palmer's performance last season, I expected something like 8.5 or 9.0

The Euros structure essentially renders player prices meaningless; it's a short competition, so you can't blame them, and the goal is for every manager to have at least 11 players on the pitch.

Chelski supporter, yeah that's Ige, surprised he's still trying to paint Fantasy blue (the way I paint mine Red).

Bottlers forever, eh Ige?

I'm currently in Nunez mood - fighting for survival against drunk Cro2 team. Someone must bottle to make the league fun and that's where I come in..... All good to when it really matters.

Whatever makes players like Rodri meaningful. Ball recovery points is a good one, I'd like some sort of 'key passes' or 'forward passes completed' metric to be added as well.
I don't like any swapping, so that one would be a hard no for me.

The DM has been one of the most useless position throughout the years, no clean sheet point, no ball recoveries, no tackle point and all that, there's even a rumor for cash to top leaders it's long overdue honestly..

Halaand's starting price is £15m, which is insane and hilarious.

Luckily for you, you didn't bottle the side bets you made, yh?

He's very close to that as well Grin
5 points behind, I really like my chances.

The FPL is back anyway- there could be one or two new Rules, which one are you guys hoping to see? Me: ball recovery points and captain swap.

Hello friends. Just checking in here to see who is most likely to enjoy my FPL donation haha.
hahah. Mine was a donation too, but I thought it was going to be Trofo's again.

Personally, I would have had more satisfaction if I had finished ahead of Icopress  Grin, but I keep seeing him in front of me.

Is he still getting his ass kicked as usual?
He is a big supporter of Chelsea; otherwise, I would have said that perhaps Arteta has spilled some of our bottler serum into his cup, and he has drunk from it. The third position really looked very achievable for him.

I don't remember if I joined FPL from 2nd or 3rd season, but hasn't Trofo always been near the top? That's my memory anyway, and no need to say where you can usually find me. EPL or EURO, all the same mystery to me, but I will need to really really get down to it if I want to put in a serious effort for Fantasy. Just not quite the format suited to me, is my excuse, but the time requirement is really hard to skirt.

Goal awarded to Olmo.....

Kounde from - 4 to 0. My captain is in the mud. First time with the bastard, Spain is unpredictable, there are too many talents, you close down Yemal, Williams rides you to death, you close both Yemal and Williams, and Olma sends you to your the grave. The one weakness for Spain is Morata, who is a complete jerk.
That is why you take them all. Spain is the only team left that has some choices in midfield, I was even contemplating going 4 Spain mids and just one from england but at least Ruiz didn't punish me yesterday.

I bet you are glad now that I didn't see your side bet offer on time.

I had so much hope in France playing poorly and finding a way to win, so I went balanced on both teams, but not having Olmos and Yamal was a big mistake on my part, but there was nothing I could do because I didn't have a WC. I'm not going to beat the bottler allegations anytime soon; I bottled 3rd and now 4th.

Every decision went against me; Kane and Simon just scored, and I have none.. Cheesy
