Deciding in the last seconds whether to trust in Salah or not. Will probably make the wrong call.

I did end up getting Garnacho in his place, but I wanted to play with a constant 5 on the midfield, at the worst 4.

What are your priorities? Match point or attacking returns?

Match point - Yes Rodri guarantee you that as long as he's fit to play.

Attacking returns? Don't buy Rodri he's a waste of space in your team Hhampuz!!! £6.5m can get you Garnacho and other better options.

Top 14 last season out of ALL midfielders in PPM - he's just a nice guarantee at a low price to always get something.

Looking at other options you have to think about rotations in their teams, how injury prone the players are and everything else - which is not a worry with Rodri

No clean sheet point, no ball recovery point so owing a DM in FPL is not worth it tbh. Rodri is not on set pieces and only produce an attacking returns once in a blue moon.

I believe he is as essential in any FPL team as he is to City, pretty much the only player you can count on week in and week out at that price range. Can't say the same for others hovering around £6-7 mil..

Rodri injury ruined my entire squad... back to the drawing board.

I also think I am ready for GW1 as well.

It was not easy selecting a team, but I think I finally have it.

I cleared out my first draft and went super aggressive taking all the top picks until I ran out of budget, then went for cheapest options that I saw a whole lot of people took. Don't be shocked. I finally dropped Nunez and Robertson from my squad. Aaaaand I bought Haaland. MF needs to be in the team if I want to compete, sadly.

If I didn't know how else to explain my GW1 strategy: follow as much as possible the crowd on their top DEF/MID/FW picks, then fill the rest in with cheapos.

No, Trofo will lose this year. And I will not stand by to collect hundreds of dollars from his downfall heh heh.

I only took up OP, sorry padi but max I can do is 1mbtc on simple "who finishes higher". For FPL. I would love to maintain my status as chief FPL donator but I am going to give it a better go this season (or at least not miss soooo many game weeks) and in that case I would prefer not to take your money

Or maybe I'm chicken against you this season -- but who knows, BSFL or midway, we can think of something. Or Second Chance Bottlers league haha.

I went in totally opposite way this season. I ignored the whole preseason until the last friendly and somewhere around that point started consuming content, but only injury/transfer news with deliberately not looking at other people's drafts including yours here.

Still on my second draft only ( Not counting auto pick when I created the account for the season.), the third will be the final one and I will make it 15 minutes before the deadline. I think I have spent way too much time thinking about what other people are doing in the past. This season the plan is to start aggressive and let other people think about my squad.
Implemented the same in BSFL also.

We have seven players in common (Nkunku, Henderson, Trent, Winks, Halaand, Pedro, and Isak). I just hope that switching from Barco to Dunk won't affect me. I've had roughly 5 drafts since yesterday. The first GW is usually difficult since you desperately want to be ahead of everyone.

27? Last season we had more than 40 i guess - where they go? Haven't we gotten to the stage where we all take an oath never to leave FPL for the next 5 years?

I spent about 70 hours (in total) in August on drafting and reddit and reading your comments. But it seems like my team is ready.

After my top 10 I mean top 8 finish from last season I will give FPL one more try
Just sent my buy-in.

Since the EPL and FPL is starting today, I have locked in my team for GW.  Quansah is a good CB but he doesn't have much attacking returns and Liverpool isn't one of the best teams when it comes to keeping cleansheets.

Mateta was my favorite ahead of Edouard but since it's only been a few days since he got back from the Olympics, they might give him a rest amd just bring him on as a sub.

Solanke + Isak + Salah will profit the attacking returns I need (hopefully). Still have 2m in the bank. LFG..

That makes two, I've been on the outskirts for the week and would probably be for the weekend...
