Gabriel's figures for goals scored with head from corner kicks are frightening. Good defensive option to have, IMO, since there is always the threat of him scoring. Many people will wildcard to him with the easy fixtures we have. No Rodri news update here? Man is out for the rest of the season; more games for Kovacic and John Stones.
Yeah! I don't even remember why I got him, except that I always try to have many Arsenal players from back and mid in my team. I'm actually now very happy in a way that Isak's not been performing. Lost some value on him, and am paying premium for Saka probably, but it's very pleasing to have both my favourites (Salah and Saka) in my team now, while still hanging on to Haaland. Wondering if icopress likes my squad.
Still bummed Salah lost the captaincy battle with Haaland, I've lost out so much just on choosing him over Mr Erling, who escaped a caution in the last game -- but let me not start up some FPL-referee-conspiracies

It's scary seeing you say that you are about to start playing, especially if you have not used your TC chip. The season is still very long way to go, and I see a lot of people gaining momentum already. For someone like me with little experience in the FPL, it will be a struggle to maintain my position or even do better. Icopress already has a good lead; I don't doubt his ability to maintain that position; it is my intention to keep close.

This is actually great start by my standards. I am usually around 4M at this stage, this is super good. Real game starts after first WC for me, everything I do good before that is a bonus.Last season was anomaly and only one where I was top all the time. Season before that I was in bottom half of the pool all the way to New Year.
With Gvardiol and Doku both dropping in price, decided to wildcard as well. My team will look a lot better now, and I already have 3 transfers stacked up so can make changes again.
Not really happy with my start so far, could have been worse though. It's still early days.

Stones? Don't think so. While Rodri was missing on season start Lewis was the one covering so I am thinking he gets the minutes boost which could be very nice as long as we are ok with some early subs and occasional benching.

It's really a tough news honestly, and an awful blow both to City and the midfielder who had a great season capped with an impressive summer, I guess no one said anything about Rodri because he's not the most appealing midfielder to own in the FPL.
I initially thought Rodri was faking it after he had fell to the ground, but it became rather worrying when he was leaving the pitch, I'm going to be following how Guardiola would handle the situation, If Stones would be back into the line up then I'll also consider him into my squad from a defender stand point, but I'll not be having Kovacic simply because he doesn't offer a lot offensively.

As expected I'm falling down the ranks and settling around where I should be expected to for the season haha. If I have to concede, I've been saved 2 GWs in a row now by Gabriel. Last one, because he was in my squad. This one, because Pedro didn't play and he got subbed in (phew). 7 points from a def is a great return IMO, never mind Arsenal conceded two. Had the 2-1 score stood, he probably might have had a bonus point or two (for winning goal).
I've set a reminder so I don't forget to change my team (already made 2 urgent transfers out). International break really squeezed my guys out of contention, is a WC ripe for me very soon or should I just stick to banking free transfers? Asking for me.

Well people in charge of Fantasy game are not so smart, we all see Haaland is making the game not so fun and when he have a not good game what they do? They give him 3 points from bonus!!!!. For doing what? IF youa re gonna give him a point of bonus it has to be 1 or as much 2, i have him now, but still ridiculous.

Don't worry too much about it. I've picked Carvalho as my starter for the next 2 weeks. I'm pretty sure he won't start (though I still expect my defensemen to score more points than yours... Greaves, Davis, Ramsdale). Proud of Arsenal and how compact we remained under pressure. It was just a bit disappointing at the end that we could not get the outcome we wanted, but it could have been worse. The officials ruined the game with that red card; it may have been justified, but the inconsistency is what is annoying because Doku kicked the ball away too in the first half and never got a card for it.
Arsenal sent a clear message today that we are still in the race to win the Premier League this season, our third attempt!
I got an Arsenal attack and another player who will be playing for 2 weeks in a row in the main squad of my team, despite the fact that I only own 1% (rotation with Vardy in GW6, and with ESR GW7).

Sitting on 3 transfers and already having decent options for a mini Wildcard. Don't like how my team currently looks like, but am hurt by that -0.4 mil I lost on Quansah.
To be honest, seems like such a heavy penalty. Only 10% people or so had him, he lost -0.1 in value the first week and remained at ~3% selection. He's now selected by 1.7% of people and lost -0.3 in value in short period of time.
Looks totally unrealistic but it is what it is I guess.

I also got rid of J. Pedro and Jota. Wouldn't have enough money for Mbuemo if it was Eze. Still thinking weather to WC this week or not. So far on -4 with high probability of pulling the trigger and renewing my squad.This week GW winner is Hhampuz with probably* 89 points. Barnes and Jackson coming in clutch for him. Those 2 aren't in many teams.
*This season FPL has a habit of tinkering with bonus points late into the evening and all GW winners are official day after the games finish. When situation is clear like here when hhampuz should have 9 points gap I will proclaim them immediately and when it is very close I will wait for official results.
It's very funny how many twists have happened just in the first half alone, from Man City being really close to have 2-3 goal lead, to Rodri getting injured and the momentum instantly shifted in Arsenal favor, now it's back to Man City's with Arsenal down to 10 men and would play the final 45 minutes as such.

I've seen many games where the game was fiery but then after one of the teams was sent off they closed down and there were no more goals scored, I hope this is exactly the kind of game
I think Simeone/Mourinho would have easily hold the score in such a situation. Let's see what tactics Arteta chooses, he was lucky that it happened right before the break and he can completely rebuild the game in normal mode, and not try to shout his ideas from the edge of the field.
P.S. My easiest bet on Haaland paid off
