If you choose a safe way to invest better you continue to rely on bitcoin because most altcoins do not have high price movements such as bitcoin so you do not have to worry about the issue that comes up all of a sudden against bitcoin and you are sufficient to be patient with such problems.In order to achieve success.

Bitcoin is a better investment for long term because of the great chance that it may rise to the highest level while altcoins are good in trading for short term of investment because of the very unstable price.

I always prefer altcoins for making a long term investment. I didn't say the bitcoin is not a good investment but I prefer bitcoin for short term investment. 
Bitcoin is worthy stable coin and best for long term investment.Currently its price is falling so this is best opportunity to invest now it will reach on top in the future.
Some altcoins are also reliable which can give good profit in long run,just need to select profitable coins having stable market.

You should invest in bitcoin instead in altcoins because bitcoin is more reliable to invest since they are operating in the industry for a long period of time and they are the number one company as well.

I think both coin is the best if we speak about investment. Altcoin and bitcoin is the most amazing coin now a days because we can all see that many people earn huge amount of profit through buy and selling coin. Maybe we don't have to compare both coin because we can really used both of them for gaining purposes.

You can invest both bitcoin and altcoins if you want and besides you are long term so there is no need to worry if by the time you bought your coin and in the next morning it drops down. There are a lot of good coins you can buy in the market and they are very cheap just diversify your money to be safe.
if I ask Bitcoin what I choose because Bitcoin is now dropping out is the best time to invest because because of the time it will grow your money and you will not really be able to do it. thank you
For me, both bitcoins and altcoins are good investment nowadays. I prefer to you to do both bitcoin and altcoin investment, I am sure that you can earn a lot of profit by doing bitcoin and altcoin investment; but be careful when you are doing altcoin investment because there are altcoins that are not profitable.
I will suggest you only invest your spare money as crypto is 100% risky and 2nd advice never be hurry if you feel loss hold for long time, never sell in loss. and if you have good time then join bounty programs and get free coins every month almost through doing some simple jobs like Signature,social share,article/content writing etc.
As we have seen what happens with bitcoin in the past few months, Bitcoin is still better off to invest than altcoins, for me bitcoin is a coin for long term investment because bitcoin is currently getting universal Make more money and attract big investors to Bitcoin.
If you are planning for longterm i would suggest bitcoin because bitcoin is now getting popular and more investor will come. The more investor the higher the demand for bitcoin. If demand for bitcoin increases the price will increase also. But still invest what you only afford to lose.

For me the beest coin for a long term investment was bitcoin because as we can see bitcoin has made a huge pump. As you can remember on year 2009 when bitcoin started it is nothing but now it has tremendous value and it is predicted that will grow more compared to as it now. Each year passes bitcoin is growing so expect that it will enormous someday. 
I think altcoins are a better investment right now as the rate of growth of altcoins is much higher than Bitcoin. You can expect a 1000 percent growth in one year if you are able to find the right progressive altcoin. Bitcoin is also growing but rate of growth is less than that of altcoins.
The investor can not buy only bitcoin or any one kind of altcoyin - the portfolio should be diversified and contain both "attractive" and venture capital assets, with a high risk share and profit potential.
Bitcoin is still better to invest than altcoins. Altcoins just get hyped and then another contender get in that same category and then the old one will die. But we see bitcoin that always get higher and killed those dozens of those bitcoin forks and one of them is bitcoincash.
I also get to face such difficult situations when bitcoin price comes and low and i want to invest but then again, a new promising altcoin comes on board and its difficult to choose which one to invest in. The best solution i always take is bitcoin since bitcoin is here to stay forever. The bitcoin trust is great.
if you want to invest long term I suggest to invest in BITCOIN only because seen from year price year last year bitcoin price always increase sharply
Yeah the simple answer same as you is bitcoin is the best investment right now the reason is that profit of bitcoin is higher than the risk in it, but in altcoins you will meet the risk at the beginning and it will remain the same throughout the investing session, bitcoin has high potential to increase and the history of bitcoin is enough to make the difference between bitcoin and altcoins, bitcoin has strong background history while other altcoins are just invented with poor history.As you said, I want to ask you a question.
