Investing in both will be better. Holding altcoin allows us to enjoy short term profit, and hold bitcoin certainly for long term. I think altcoin is more aggressive in market movement than bitcoin.
Bitcoin is one and only best in investment for long term. I prefer to invest your money in bitcoin, altcoins is better thou but much better to invest in bitcoin. We already know that trading has two way, its either increase or decrease. Buy bitcoin in deep price and soon you will have your profit.

- I do not think so, profit depends on your strategy in the market, Bitcoin is definitely very safe and it can also generate huge profits when we know how to take advantage of the tremendous fluctuations of bitcoin. We can understand it like this, the oscillation of bitcoin can be said frequently and continuously, buy low and sell high continuously, profit is better than altcoin when altcoin does not have large and continuous fluctuations, Bitcoin is always a perfect choice with many great aspects I like to think of it like this, bitcoin = safer, not as likely to make huge profits, and vice versa for altcoins.
If your motivation is to invest for long term, it's true bitcoin is the right choice. But i am even more interested investing in altcoin because more volatile so i can achieve faster profits even though the risks are comparable.
Of course bitcoin will be good choice for long term investment as we know bitcoin value is keep increasing that anyone could earn profit. But it's good too if we can invest in both bitcoin and some altcoin because there are many altcoin that has a good potential too.
I suggest that you buy ethereum now because it will give you a lot of benefits if you are patient and holding it for a long time but if you want to quickly search for money then you should buy nxt and do day trading

Both are good crypto to invest in. Instead of choosing between the two, it is better to divide your investment. I advise to make a 60- 40 part. 60% for bitcoin and 40% for altcoin. When bitcoin price increase, other altcoin increases also. On the other hand, when bitcoin decreases its value altcoin also decreases its value. It is also advisable to invest in altcoin because the alcoin offers some features which bitcoin do not have. There are also some altcoins that offer to give more profits. Plus alcoinss has a lower transaction fee compared to bitcoin.
I advise to invest in BTC and ETH. Bitcoin it as digital gold and in long-term perspective will make good profit as well as Ethereum it the second-largest currency and at it big future
Lots of you advise to invest in bitcoin instead of altcoin. I don't really agree, of course bitcoin is a solid value but there are strong projects in altcoins that could be more profitable now that investing in bitcoin. I will not mention any altcoin here, you have specific topic in the altcoin thread.

And I know that lot of us using bitcoin to invest on the long term , altcoin is just for the short term investment only because it would be stock on falling because of the projects that been unsucessful. So as of now still bitcoin , and always be bitcoin.
Yeah still bitcoin is best for trading, and now it is good time to trade with bitcoin. Because bitcoin is down and if anyone want to trade with bitcoin then it is superb chance for him to make money from bitcoin. Bitcoin is always an best when it comes to an investment and you can make really good money in long term and if you are looking to make good profits in short term then there are many altcoins available that can help you in making regular profits but make sure that you don't invest in any shit coins hoping to pump it and better choice would be to invest in reliable coin like ethereum to make sure shot profits in future.

In my opinion, You should divide your investment and go for 30% Ethereum, 20% Neo, 20% bitcoin and with the rest of the 30% buy other good altcoins.
It depends what altcoin you are investing in, some are so attached to bitcoin price that investing on them will mirror bitcoin price with a bit of extra volatility.

I am sure that experienced traders can earn more money on trading with altcoins. Yes, Bitcoins can be also profitable, but there are so many alts and so many possibilities!
