Good point.
Wirex, please reveal your secret hidden 5% fee formula!

Wirex you are trying to mislead your customers. Bitcoin community is all about fairness and openness and I will fight for this on this forum hardly!

@bitatomic @eduBTC

guys, for you personally, one last time:
1) there is no 5%. You have come up with a number and ask us to prove something?
2) "formulas", where we get the rate, how we get the rate, or whatever you call it is sensitive information, not for public
3) You've been posting about 5%, then congratulations on 2.8%, etc, making statements with no grounds or proof, often contradicting yourselves, nevertheless keep demanding some proof from our side. Don't want to throw accusations like you are doing, but given the tone and inconsistency of the posts, as well as the newly created accounts, can't really be sure that you are not simply:
   - trolling the thread
   - or trying to make a name for yourselves (negative is always easier, isn't it? try building something instead of trying to ruin..)
   - and/or being paid for these posts by someone else (should I ask for proof that you are not?..)

Therefore, we consider the matter closed

Are you high or something? You clearly know that you are offering much worse exchange rate than alternative providers, so I just want to know how do you justify it? If you do not understand english well (as you are not native speaker) I will explain it in very simple terms:

I have 1 Bitcoin. I go to wirex i get 950 EUR. If I go to xapo I get 980 EUR. Why wirex is more expensive?

I hope you will understand it know. Also the numbers are based on the difference of your offered exchange rate. I hope you will justify your huge fee/margin/rate/whatever.

I feel like being scamed.

Why you still say you don't have fees!? I compare the prices not to other debit card services, but to exchanges like bitstamp, kraken and etc.. I compare these exchange price and your price and I find 5% fee

Ok, this is the last time I'm going to explain this. There are no fees for loading your card in Wirex, at all. An exchange rate and a fee are not the same thing. A "fee" relates to an individual service (issuing a permit, pulling a tooth, selling bitcoins), while a "rate" refers to the price per unit (or minute or day or whatever you want to assign this price).

If there was a fee, you will see it when you buy bitcoins on Wirex or load your card. But as there's no Fee, but a different rate, then you won't see it. That's all. That's how it works, and that's how it's gonna keep working.

No one is scamming you, no one is selling you something that's no true. What you see is what you get, and that's all. Can we please now, as people, as individuals, as a civilization, move on from this subject?

Ok, i got it. We should use different terminology: what is the size of hidden fee incorporated in your exchange rate as it is much worse compared to bitcoin exchanges and other bitcoin debit card providers (after considering the fee). Can you tell what is the margin on your exchange rate?

@gosha you started to ignore me? You still did not explain how your bitcoin price is calculated, because we all see it's around 5% comparing to market rate (bitstamp, itbit, kraken and etc). You say it's not 5%, please provide proof.

you're just too loud to be ignored Smiley

what proof have you provided? there was another post just before yours clearly showing much less than 5%.

all has been explained above, matter closed, it's been too much talk already. If you are still not happy/convinced, not much we can do about it, can't make the whole world happy, just trying as hard as we can with the existing and growing customer base

No, no issues as of lately, hope it stays the same. I mean i can't load my card since yesterday but your message says its from the bank so no point on complaining about that since its not your guys fault.

Regarding of the info, i was checking your twitter one time and saw a tweet made some time ago saying e-coin will be resume when a bitcoin ledger will be online, something like blockchain but different, i forgot the name. I presume thats where you guys are getting the confirmations on btc transactions and price fluctuation and etc, so when they have problems e-coin also have problems.
Its just my deduction, if im wrong then im wrong and i appologise. We get crazy when tx have problems ))
A live chat support would do wonders for us hehe

glad to hear that. Yet, until the change to the new platform is completed, there may still be issues, hope you guys can bare with us, it is a really daunting task, and we are throwing a lot of resources at it, yet, it does take time.

Live chat functionality already is there, we are just putting off the launch because of the existing backlog of support tickets, new team members still being trained, etc.

Things will be getting better!

I really found it really hard to put my money into debit card that they take monthly fee, the only time I use them is when I want to buy online, the best thing to do is to use local bitcoin and exchange your bitcoin into either cash or find into your PayPal or any other online money transfer that you use.

could you explain what was hard, please? harder to make 1-2 clicks than dealing via localbitcoins??

In the end if you don't like their rate , you don't use them at all and go to other solution. Simply!

Congrats, guys you have reduced your margin to 2.8% which is still pretty high (sometimes even more than double) compared to others:

Bitcoin Price: 999.00 EUR/BTC (at Bitstamp)

Xapo: 985.75 EUR/BTC 1.33%
Wirex: 970.99 EUR/BTC 2.80%
Cryptopay: 974.19 EUR/BTC 2.48% (+1% loading fee)
Spectrocoin: 986.60 EUR/BTC 1.24%
Uquid: 991.09894 EUR/BTC 0.79% (+1% loading fee)
Advcash: 980.59 EUR/BTC 1.84% (1 USD minimum loading fee)

Congrats?? On what? WE DID NOT CHANGE A THING.

Was about to respond to the latest one from @bitatomic, but having seen this - see no point at all. This is just getting ridiculous..

I don't understand what's the problem. This difference you see is normal. On Wirex, there are two exchange rates: One for buying bitcoins and one for loading the card. The "Buy Bitcoin" rate is higher than one for "Load Card". But other than that, What you see is what you get. There are no fees for loading your card or Buying Bitcoins in Wirex / E-Coin.

To verify this, please go to the website www.blockchain.info and search the Bitcoin Address number Wirex gave you to deposit your bitcoins on the right corner search panel. Then, compare the amount of bitcoins you sent to this address with the amount you received on Wirex. It should be practically the same.

Every other bitcoin exchange platform works like that, but you got some issue with Wirex because...?

There are opportunities for everyone in the Bitcoin Universe, why don't you go and find yours if you have so many issues with Wirex?

"Scam"? seriously, mate? Wirex have been around for 3 years already, and developed the service way further than any other bitcoin debit card service. Why bother "scamming" our users, When we can aim for long term success? Come on, be real.

Problem is the word "scam" is really overused here! Yes, there are issues, like with any service growing fast and offering new features all the time, but none of the issues of any user is left unresolved. Please, look at facts, not emotions ok?

Everything except depositing your bitcoins (you should wait for three confirmation) should be instant or takes a few seconds/minutes maximum.
